Worst lender I have ever dealt with. Customer service representatives lack basic knowledge about mortgage fundamentals. Connie Isaacs needs training in customer service. I could go on but not even worth it.

As a real estate investor I was doing a refinance and got refinance approval with MCAN but they were terrible from the start. They took forever to process anything, they were asking for outrageous amount of information. And they got us the approval but they did not stick to their own close dates so I had to re-organize my financial situation’s to do a deal that I was doing and since they had changed my financial situation MCAN decided that they did not want to refinance my property. Because of MCAN lack of accountability and not able to work efficient enough, they ended up screwing themselves over by losing a customer and possibly other customers or brokers. I will not be working with them again. And I suggest other people avoid them.

I really enjoyed my first experience with MCAN both on the A and B side. Their support was excellent as was the communication. I look forward to working with them again in the future.

Not a very customer friendly approach in their lending. Better go with big 5 bank. With increased interest rate hikes, banks are offering solutions like increased amortization so that lender doesn't feel the heat to a great extent, however Mcan doesn't have any of that. If you are looking for mortgage, just blindly go with banks even if the mortgage rate is slightly higher.

Horrible! Horrible!
Connie Isaacs the account manager is extremely rude, unresponsive and incompetent. She has provided me only with wrong information and made me lose so much of my time. I literally had sleepless nights from the anxiety she created in me. When I asked to speak to higher person at several occasions she ignored my emails and never contacted me back. Until now, I am just in limbo and nobody has contacted me Do NOT deal with this company!

Very disappointed in their services. We have been with XMC old MCAN for the last 2 years and we still had almost 3 years left on our mortgage before we decided to buy our new house. My husband contacted MCAN because he wanted to get all the steps right in order to be able to port our mortgage. He was referred to the account manager Connie Isaacs back in April 2022. That same manager also dealt with me for our pre-approval letter and had all the numbers. Back then, it didn’t seem like there was an issue for us to port our mortgage but we were trying to get ready to move to our new house in December 2022. The rates kept going up after every hike but we knew that with porting we would still have a better deal with MCAN vs going with another bank. He reached out again in September 2022 to make sure that he can apply for porting and to make sure that he got everything right. Connie Isaacs told him that in order to port he needs the sell and purchase of the house have to be in the same month. So we went back to our lawyers and spoke with the realtors to change the date as requested by Connie. The buyers were very resistant in changing the date so we contacted Connie to ask for an exception or if we can speak a higher person to make an exception for a couple of hours basically (closing date was November 30th at around 5: 00 pm and we basically had to close December 1st - 7 hours later to be accepted for porting. Dimitri, another account manager calls me back rudely saying that there is no exception, that we wouldn’t be approved for any mortgage with MCAN because the value of the new house is above 1 million dollars. Since April my husband has been speaking to Connie, she never asked or mentionned to him the purchase price. She even did the pre approval with that amount and never bothered to mention anything at all. We will be losing thousands of dollars over the next 5 years because of her incompetency since we are now stuck at an extremely high interest rate. Connie was rude, has no customer service and never answered us when we wanted to speak higher.she never even responded to our last email asking if we still need to pay a penalty given it was her oversight. Dimitri was also very direct in his approach and told us on recording that we (MCAN) dont care about your business or losing you as a client. What kind of service is that? Do not deal with this company! They don’t have your best interest at heart. We are right now in contact with our lawyers to claim these massive damages.

Had my mortgage with MCAP for 3 years. The mortgage rate was great, but the customer service from Connie Isaacs was unprofessional, rude and unhelpful during a difficult time. She did not care to offer any suggestions or solutions which made the process very tough.

The SW Ontario team is amazing to work with, fast efficient and a great team. Just a superior group of people and the BDM Ryan always goes out of his way to get the job done!
