The best mechanic in Toronto! I take my Range Rover for service here because the service and quality of work is even better then the Land Rover dealership. These guys are very knowledgeable and have great attention to detail. I have been a customer since 2015 and will not go anywhere else! Would highly recommend

Didnt take an actual booking my first time around, I swung by for no reason. Unapologetic. They overbook tires and its up to the customer to navigate zero parking options in traffic. Second booking (an actual booking made sibxd thesw guys pretend every bad review is a walk in) and I just circled the block for 15 minutes, they moved 1 car in that time.
They arent the best in town and their customer service is the worst. Steer clear.

We love McDermott so much. They are reliable, fast, communicative, trustworthy and always help us out when in a bind. Their team even secured a loaner car and removed / re-installed my car seat for us during a recent visit. A great community staple!

Super helpful, no BS shop. Had a large and unexpected cost come up with a GTi and they took the time to explain everything involved in detail. Even offered some gift cards for money off the service. Would definitely recommend.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Terrible experience here, and will never attempt to do business with this place again. I was in a tight spot trying to get my hanging undertray bolted back onto my car…I had all the bolts, just needed 5 minutes on a hoist. Given this was a very quick job, I came early in an attempt to not interrupt their schedule. I was happy to pay for the time it would take, which was minimal. Service manager refused to bring me on (even though they had an empty hoist) and insisted I book an appointment to get this job done. He referenced having 25 customers in queue, however he had 2 empty hoists when I arrived. Didn’t listen to me at all, and was rude and condescending. Ended up going down the street where I got helped out by a shop who didn’t stick their nose up to me because it wasn’t a huge job. Also wasn’t charged at the other shop. McDermott Motors has clearly set the precedent that they won’t turn a single bolt for you unless you pay them. Very disappointed with how I was treated here.

Great service! Diagnosed my transmission issue & fixed it same day. Responsive & friendly techs explained everything. The online report with photos of all problems areas is a nice touch as well!

Having been frustrated with my experience at certain car dealerships in the city, I found McDermott online and began taking my cars to them a couple years ago. All my experiences with them have been positive, and I would highly recommend to others. The service is fast and easy, and they seem to be straight forward and honest. Their system for reporting back to customers using an online report with pictures and analysis is efficient, helpful and re-assuring. Strong customer service and high quality work goes a long way these days which is why I've been very pleased I found McDermott, and again would recommend to others.

They e-mail vehicle reports, which allows easy review of proposed repairs and recall of repair history.

As always, service was done quickly and professionally. I appreciate the software they use to update you and run through the issue with the vehicle including pictures of the affected area (s). Helps give you peace of mind. I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else.

First time I went to McDermotts. What I thought I needed was not an issue. They did however recommend another repair which I had them do. Dropped vehicle in early morning and it was done same day. I found them to be polite, professional and fairly priced. Added benefit was only 10 minute walk away from where I live. I highly recommend this business.

About a month ago, took my 2006 BMW 750iL into McDermott Motors for the first time to diagnose/repair a very significant oil leak. The staff there were very responsive to get back to me with their diagnosis and repair costs. My first experience with McDermott Motors was excellent and I would recommend their shop for auto repair without hesitation!

The guys at there are always friendly and polite. I have brought my cars there for years and they do awesome work and get it done quickly and thoroughly.

After trying to diagnose an issue at the BMW dealership for months I decided to give McDermott a try based on the reviews. They were able to diagnose and repair the issue within a day. Have been getting all my service and repairs done with them ever since.

I service my Range Rover Sport with the team at McDermott’s - they are trustworthy, reliable, helpful, and did I mention trustworthy. What you bring it in for is what you get. If it doesn’t need it they don’t do it. Simple and easy!

During this time of Pandemic, they were able to change my summer tires to winter tires very efficiently with minimal contact. Quickly and accurately done. Really love this place.

I originally searched online for a German car specialist, because going through my dealership was such a painful headache (for my wallet and the entire customer service experience).

Everyone here is extremely knowledgeable and kind. I once came by within the span of an hour call beforehand, because my coolant sensor went off and I was quite concerned. They were able to diagnose the problem within minutes and top up my coolant *for free*. They explained that it was a simple reader error based on the fluid levels, so toping it off fixed it. They definitely calmed me down, and sent me off on my way.

Every time I take my car here, I feel safer on the road.
The specialists handle my car with care and really understand how to maintain this type of car. The prices are absolutely amazing (BEYOND fair) and so is the customer service. Even if you don’t truly require a mechanic that specializes in certain car brands, please don’t hesitate to take your car here. They are truly one of the best in the city, if not the very best.

We tried McDermott after a frustrating, expensive and unsatisfactory experience with the Dealership. While we clearly had a difficulty problem, McDermott was willing to take it on and they persisted until the problem was finally fixed. We found McDermott highly competent, reasonably priced and a real pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended.

I own two Land Rovers and one is particularly old and temperamental. I have been a McDermott customer for 3 years now and cannot say enough good things about the service and the transparency and the fairness of their approach. I have never experienced the 'you should do your x now because they might fail' upsell in fact quite the opposite of getting value for money for your service and parts. The way they have embraced technology and efficiently show you what needs doing and why with pictures is great. The customer service is fantastic and the guys are always helpful and cheerful!

I had really exceptional service. I went in to get TPM sensors installed on my new winter rims, and they were able to get the job done at a resonable price and in a timely manner. I would highly recommend the place as the staff is very knowlegable and friendly.

I first used McDermott Motors for my Land Rover and they looked after it very well. I am continuing to use them now that I have a Toyota 4Runner. They continue to be highly professional, helpful and I particularly like that I receive a video of any issues found - plus they advise me when work is NOT needed too.

Good place, people so friendly, i have been service almost 3 year. I like when they troubleshoot ur car, they sent details picture to ur phone same time.
