McDonald's

Food was fresh and hot, drinks cold which hit the spot. Only issue is they need to keep ontop of cleaning up tables and condiment/drink area.

Since Christine has left here as the General Manager! This restaurant has gone, gone, gone down, down more down hill. Ownership really needs to shake things up here. As the customer service and the ability to follow customer custom orders has drastically gone way down hill and just is simply not followed at all. It like they just don’t give a dam. And there is no leadership or management here. The staff just goof around and do what the hell they want…. Heck you order you don’t want pickles on your burger there a good chance will get them…. Order and add bacon or add a extra burger patty and pay for them…. There a 90% chance you won’t get them…. As you will see in the pictures I am adding today…. I ordered bacon and extra patty…. And I got neither….

There been time as of late I order a quarter pounder with cheese on Uber eats with out cheese and it comes with cheese……talk about issues….

Oh I should also add one night recently it took me 31minutes to get an order when I was at the restaurant and that was at 10pm on a Friday…. Cause the staff behind the counter was screwing around and even when his manager told my order was the next that had to go out…. He push other order before mine and his manager came back and started working on my order and oh sorry your order took so long sir….

Also I will state the older guy who works in night making food is just nasty, seen him touching his face and nose, etc and then making food…. Something needs to happen about this guy.

They made very bitter coffee and different one from which I ordered. Very bad taste and rude behaviour of employee.i asked for 4 cream, 4 sugar and half syrup but there is no sugar and cream visible in this coffee

It was nice and warm this day I came. I just love their McFlurries. I had a skorr McFlurry very yummy as always!

Fairly consistent flavour, although the quality of preparation varies a lot from day to day and location

First time visit at the McDonalds inside the Walmart at the Boardwalk. The fries were piping hot, and the quarter pounder was freshly made. Both were great. The staff were friendly and the place was clean. Nice to have a burger & fries then go on a relaxing shop through Walmart. I'd stop in here again.

The man/manager deserves a raise!

This probably has been one of the best McDon experience we had in a long time! We came in, and it was a bit busy, so we assumed there would be a bit of a wait and ordered our Big Mac with extra sauce.

First of all, we didn’t consider that was a long wait at all! But this guy, (I assume he’s the manager since he wears a different uniform), he’s so caring about his customers, it’s amazing! We overheard him telling the kitchen about what he was working on. (Good internal communication first). And he stressed to the kitchen that our Big Macs were with extra sauce and he thinks we’ve waited for some time!

There has been so many times we went to other locations, asking for extra sauce but never got it. This employee not only got our order right, he reinforced with the kitchen to make sure we are not waiting long and made sure they got our order right! And of course, at the end, he even apologized to us for the wait. Man, we were blown away by his amazing service, the grind, and the positive attitude he has at work! He not only deserves to be a manager, McDon should hire this guy to train all the employees!

Good job! And sorry we didn’t get your name! Also the fries were super fresh and the burger was amazing! You made our day!

Full Kitchen but extremely slow. My order number disappeared from "now serving" queue but didn't get my order for the next 10+ minutes.

Within that time, only 1 ice cream cone was handed over

The food is good when they actually get it right, but 8 times out of 10 something is always wrong and it ruins the food. Not to mention most of the crew there don’t even know how to take orders. Get it together.

The staff here are very kind and they're surprisingly fast too. For some reason every time I get a spicy habernero (from any location) the sauce gets missed - The team at the boardwalk was very textbook good customer service about fixing the problem (eg empathizing, course of action, timely).

Obviously it's McDonald's so you know what you're getting, but I've found this location to be pretty nice out of the various places you can go in the city.

I had just came in with my fiancé and had the best experience. The staff was so nice. And even made me a chicken Big Mac. Such nice people. Definitely a good dons to go to.

They didn't honor a $1 big mac and the cashier used obscene language. I have evidence to prove I was issued the coupon and the cashier was also not wearing a name tag, he was older I approached at approximately 12: 34 pm. Wasn't impressed by the service, most organizations wouldn't have a problem with a basic gesture like this. The app also is definitely down, as it's citing a bad internet connect and yet here I am posting a review. I'll consider taking down this review if I'm offered considerable compensation.

The service is ok, but it's not very clean. Good place to stop after shopping when everyone is starving, though.

Wait forever unless you are drive thru. Completely ignored in restaurant. Staff will walk right past you without offering yo take order. Finally got food and medium fries 1/2 full. Place has become a dump

Foremost this has been one of the worst McDonald's I ever been too especially the McDonald's on Highland Hills in Kitchener that doesn't wear gloves. It's an safety concern for me that this man who had done my burgers picked his nose and wiped it on his t-shirt while making my burgers after the counter lady passed me my food I reported it and trash my burgers away. I almost puked and had the thought of it in my head for days. All fast food places must wear gloves at all times before and after using the bathroom. Shame on you McDonald's employees you're not respecting the requirements not one bit and should be fired.

The staff was very cheerful and plesent.food was fresh and hot.great amount and not stingy at all.felt like I got my money's worth for sure

Ordered a sausage and egg mcmuffin with two hash browns and an iced coffee. Overcharged me for the hasbrowns, gave me a bacon and egg mcmuffin and the iced coffee had barely any milk/sugar and tasted terrible. Not the first example of poor service/food I've had there. Avoid it if you can

Be aware if you are using the kiosks to order here the machine is double charging people and the manager is claiming it’s a bank issue because it says declined or they don’t get the order behind the counter…It is NOT a bank issue. Do not tap again for your order! The bank has issued an investigation in this location as transactions are being doubled and store is not refunding or investigating themselves. There was another women in the bank at the same time as me claiming being double charged! Highly recommend to order with an actual person here. Hopefully the investigation catches what’s going on here. I see multiple posts online about this issue and McDonald’s turns a blind eye! Not sure if it’s location specific or multiple. Gave two because my food order was right.

Order 305 on May 11th, ordered a double quarter pounder and only got a single. The fry’s were uncooked and gross. Never go to Mcds again. Horrible customer service and I don’t have time in my day to go back and get the order fixed. Get it together.

I hope this 1 star can bring to your attention. Your "now serving" screen has been broken for au least 2 weeks, and the order kiosk facing the gate has not been printing receipt for at least a month, please keep your stuff running

No other complains, and I'll be happy to bump the stars up, please just fix your stuff

The crew working tonight does everything to perfection! I enjoy every time these guys are in! And the restaurant is always clean!

side note: a few days ago there was a not so good experience with the guy manager at the time.he closed an hour early cause “all the machines were broken” which was probably an excuse cause it looked really messy and he most likely wanted to get out of there early.

I experienced something not so pleasant at McDonald’s boardwalk. I’ve been a regular customer from last 4 years but today I experience something very weird. At this time of Covid I ordered my breakfast and requested a girl at the cash counter to please let the person know who prepares the meals to wear gloves as I don’t feel comfortable him touching my food with his hands.very rudely the cash counter girl replied to me that don’t worry he washes his hands it’s our protocol not to wear gloves so I would request to please let us know if it is actually a protocol of McDonald’s to not wear gloves on request also? Very unpleasant experience.

They are a small location in a Walmart and as a result don't have as many items as other bigger locations. The staff were very nice and apologetic.

Very friendly manager. I was here for a gift card. I ended up with a gift card and 10 free mc big coupons (literally free, no strings attached)

Went for breakfast and ended up leaving for Tim Hortons as they seemed to be out of everything.

They don’t seem to understand my simple clear instructions. Extra mayo and lettuce on junior chicken

And the amount of chocolate sauce on my sundae was ridiculous, you could barely see and taste any chocolate.

FANTASTIC WORKERS! Best mcdonalds in the city. They have my usual order memorized and are very kind and warm hearted souls. Christine is an absolute sweetheart and gives the best management. Would highly recommend this location.

The manager Christine, lady with the short blonde hair is thr worst woman and a manager I have ever met, so I am on a Keto diet and I ordered egg McMuffin wrapped in lettuce instead of bun, which isnt new coz all the mcd do serve it, she yelled at the cashier saying why did She take that order when this item doesn't exist and started throwing tantrums at the staff, all the staff at this location is very very grumpy and I think she is the reason why! I love McDonald and they go above and beyond to serve you better but this location if Christine remains the manager it is going to be a hell of a workplace!

The customer service is fine. One of the worst thing that we can experience in this particular McDonald's is the garbage bins are full most of the times. And the customers have to leave the waste on the top of it, which creates a total mess.

I wish there was an option for 0 stars because that perfectly described this DISGRACE of what you call a fast food restaurant.a rating of 1 star is being wayy to generous considering the fact that I found cockroaches climbing up the soda machine and they were 1.2 cm tall by 0.72 cm wide as the dimensions state of this brownish/ black cockroach. Don't even get me STARTED on the washroom. A family of 4 rats were chilling in the 3rd stall.and 2 more in stall 5. Anyways i want my refund on a chocolate chip cookie that seemed 3 days too old. If we reach that agreement, maybe ill give a 1.5 star.

I paid for a 10 pc mc nugget meal and didn't even get the nuggets, basically stole 11 dollars from me.

Almost always get something wrong or forget something in my order and the dining room is possibly the dirtiest in town.

The worst selection, rudest, unprofessional cashiers, dirty, longest wait time ever for your order, food was cold, the buns had mold on them, fries tasted reheated. Shut this place down or hire a whole new staff. Never go here, run.

They had a bizarre policy of not accepting orders for non breakfast food three minutes before the end of breakfast. As such, I was asked to step aside and wait those three minutes in which the cashier completely forgot my existence and seemingly expected me to return to the back of the lengthy line. How they cannot accept the order three minutes before the end of breakfast and let me wait it out rather than have me head to the back of the line is beyond me. I wasted my entire break and got nothing out of it.

Went to mcdonalds for a late night meal around 10: 30 and they were not only out of coffee, smoothies and jr chickens but fries. Had to drive across town to another one which was very inconvenient. I suggest stocking up on fries and prepare for the day to come.

This McDonald’s is terrible and honestly I wish I could give it zero starts. The management is horrible and don’t seem to pay attention to what their staff is doing, I’ve seen multiple time where there’s a majority of male staff and they pick on or beliddle the female staff workers. Lobby is supposed to be check every 15 minutes (know this because I worked at McDonald’s my self for a year and a half and my sister was a manager for 2 years) and I’ve heard a few staff members that have asked managers to go out in between customers to clean and they aren’t allowed to. Couldn’t tell you why that’s a thing.

Furthermore I have had a few different friends who have worked here (all female) and all have quit because of the deplorable standards when it comes to how they are treated by other staff and how they are treated by customers. Let’s be honest, you’re gonna get those one or two weirdos who are going to be inappropriate with these young ladies and you’re going to have quite a few hell customers who yell and scream at you for absolutely nothing. Managers are supposed to help in situations like this and step in and stand up for their young staff but they don’t. They just let it happen. I’ve seen a young girl run off crying after the manager just stood there and allowed her to get screamed at about a burger made wrong (as if that was her fault)
I’ve also seen and heard stories of staff bullying other staff and management doing nothing about it when it is brought to their attention. This is ridiculous. This has to be them most toxic work place and honestly by far the worst McDonalds to eat it in KW.every time I go there the lobby is in ruin (sticky, stained, crumbs everywhere, garbage on every table) the drink station isn’t properly stocked (even the sodas are usually empty) that stations is always sticky as well. My burgers and fries are NEVER fresh. This place seriously needs to be evaluated to I beg of whomever Owns this McDonald’s, do an unannounced visit during the week or send undercover quality checkers into your store, because this is not how it should be running whatsoever and I’m sure you wouldn’t be happy at all if you even seen a sliver of what your customers are seeing in every visit.

Most dirtiest mcDonalds that I have ever been. This is not the first time i am seeing this in same store. I think management does’nt care about it.

I have given this McDonald’s many chances. The employees are very rude and give a lot of attitude (especially the older lady taking orders), they always get the order wrong or forget something, they are often out of items-but mosty just appears they are to lazy to make said items, the lobby is extremely dirty. I have heard many racial slurs come from the ladies taking orders. Not a pleasant place to be at all. If I could give no stars I would.

WORST McD EVER! It’s always dirty, with fruit flies all over the ketchup station. You would think Lisa who’s taking the order in the morning is the rudest person on earth, but wait until you talk to the girl whose sole job is to make coffee and she can’t even do that without freaking out on you, the client. If you order more than 2 coffees, she freaks out; if you order a snack with the coffee, she freaks out. She would yell at you, and throw the tray on the table for you and never look back. PLEASE DO SOMETHING OR JUST SHUT DOWN THIS RESTAURANT BEFORE IT RUINS EVERYBODY’S MORNING.
