Hired them to remove a large beech tree in our backyard last month. Gave us ample notice as to what day they’d come, arrived on time with sufficient staff, discussed a few issues with us to keep us informed of progress, cleaned up everything - in our yard & our neighbours. Excellent service & value for money. Highly recommend their services.

We are very pleased with the our experience with Jack and Sherry and the McFarlan Tree crew that removed our terminally ill maple tree. From the initial assessment and estimate visit through to the scheduling, locate arrangements and final removal and stump grinding, we found all involved to be courteous, patient and supportive with us newbies to this experience. It was clear that the removal team were knowledgeable and well experienced. The work was completed in wet conditions making the cleanup a little more challenging and time consuming but they were thoughtful and thorough in spite of the conditions. We are so pleased that we chose this team of professionals to complete this work for us.

I cannot say enough about the job Jack and his crew did removing a number of trees from my property. They even arranged for and identified conflicting gas and electrical lines before they returned a few days later to remove the stumps. Everything went without a hitch and they did an excellent job of cleaning everything up after they finished. One of the stumps was inside a concrete bordered perimeter wall in my front garden and they took care to make sure the stump removal machine did not damage the wall when they had to move the machine over it. I would highly recommend this company to anyone for these services as they are first class.

McFarlan Tree Care was excellent! Saturday's storm caused a huge branch to crack and one day after contacting them, Jack and his crew arrived at the end of an extremely busy holiday weekend to efficiently and professionally remove the branch and all of its debris. I have asked them to return at a less hectic time to attend to other old, precarious trees. They were recommended by my neighbour and I will be happy to do the same.

Updated review: I first used this company in the fall of 2021 to perform tree trimming - see review below. At the beginning of 2022 I had a bit of an urgent need to clean up a cedar tree that was leaning/rubbing up against my gutters. Jack and his crew came out and did a great job. Other than footprints in the snow (and my trimmed tree), I wouldn't even have known that they were there. I will continue to use this great company for all of my tree needs!

This was the first time that I used this company and I was very pleased with the service and price. They arrived on time and didn’t stop working until the job was done. They were professional at all times. My old Norway Maple was long overdue for a trim. They removed a lot of branches and the tree now looks great. The clean-up was also very well done. I would highly recommend this family-run business!

Jack and his team were excellent! They are worth the wait. We had some tree pruning & thinning done and are very happy with their work. Very efficient! If you have trees on your property (big or small!) they are worth investing in to keep them healthy. They know their stuff & we will use them again in the future. Thank you guys!

Jack came same day when I called him for a tree that was falling. He scheduled the removal for the following morning. He and his team showed up in the morning as promised and did a fantastic job of removing the tree. There was not a branch remaining after they cleaned up. I highly recommend McFarlan Tree Care and intend to call them the next time the need arises.

McFarlan Tree Care provided excellent and timely service - the end result being that my backyard is now sunny and open instead of heavily shaded! When we moved into our new home there were three large maples that had not been maintained in many years. Jack and the team came out and worked some magic. Our trees look great, the yard is so much more open, and we have not lost the shade that we value from these trees. The team is highly skilled and efficient. We will be having them back out for future work!

Jack and the crew did a great job removing a dying ash from our property and trimming dead branches from an extremely tall oak tree. They took care not to damage the neighbours lawn and cleaned up all debree.

Thank you for allowing your workers to cut down and grind up a tree in the middle of the downtown core at 8am sharp. The sound of the trees being crushed was a great way to wake up. Maybe you should provide this service at a more reasonable time of the day.

Jack and his crew came spring of 2019 to chop down our sit ash tree. This spring they came back to grind the stump and plant a new tree. Everything were done in a professional manner. I highly recommend them.

Very good service and very courteous. Did a very good job at trimming some trees, removing a norway maple and replacing it with a tulip tree. Because of timing issue, we ran into the new Burlington bylaw. Never had to haggle with Jack, he took care of this problem. First class.

Our family cottage had a ton of ash trees that needed to be removed due to the ongoing emerald ash borer infestation in Ontario, and we couldn't be more pleased with the result. Jack and his crew accommodated our every request for how things be done at a reasonable cost, all while dealing with inclement weather and a nosy neighbour. Really a 5 star company.
