Ordered a Dyson replacement hose online and received quick response from CS when item was backordered. They kept consistent updates on ETA of item till it was delivered. Brought my late mother's Electrolix in a couple months ago, after my electrician friend and I tried to fix it. The motor kept cutting out and we decided to take it apart and see. Big mistake. The cord winder spring basically exploded, almost taking off a limb and the switch fell apart. So we decided to take it to the pros.
When I first arrived with my vacuum in a bag, the receptionist was a bit shocked to see a police officer armed and in full uniform with a garbage bag I think, but she took in my vac and said the repair tech would check it out.
He called me the next morning and explained that this 60 year old vacuum doesn't have any replacement parts now and he couldn't repair it. I asked if there was anything he could do as it was my moms and it was sentimental. He said he would try some unconventional fixes that may or may not work and I agreed, even if it didn't work.
A couple hours later he phoned me back telling me I could pick up my vacuum and I could hear it running in the background. I was elated.
He said he didn't want to charge me anything but had to and it only cost me $20.
He even improved the suction somehow and made it quieter.said he cleaned the motor and added some padding around it. You people are real professionals. I know why my mom kept going to you through the years.

We’re in rural British Columbia and ordered a replacement hose for our Miele vacuum and I was so happy with the service we received! I researched places to order from and found McHardy to be reliable and have exactly what we need. The price was comparable or less than what I could find on Amazon, etc. I ordered the wrong one initially and Andrew was very helpful and provided a return label. After ordering the correct hose it was delivered very quickly. I’ll most definitely continue to order from McHardy Vacuum!

I bought a vacuum for $508.00 which their website showed had in stock, later on they informed me the vacuum was not in stock. Erik told me it would be over a month long wait & could not guarantee any rough time estimate. After not hearing back from him, I spoke with Brenda about a replacement where she almost put through an additional payment without consent for a higher end model I did not agree too. This model was not discounted at a lower cost and had a $90 increase. Poor first experience, I do not recommend purchasing from here. Another poor second experience where they replied to this ad and lied again, not a place you want to give your business too.

I don’t really write reviews because I’m a bit lazy so for me to do so you either have to be really bad at your job or really great. I do t think I have ever had such a smooth and painless transaction in my entire life.
My Miele vacuum’s cord retractor broke after a hit 17 years of continuous use. I’m in Toronto so I called around to a number of Miele service stores. Each time I was told I mustn’t try to open my vacuum because it’s too difficult and I will break something or that I should buy a new one because it will cost too much to fix. Well if you have ever experienced German engineering you will know this not to be true. I had my Miele fully disassembled in about 8 minutes, out the broken coil retractor and then called McHardy Vacuum. I don’t know who I spoke to but she was very funny and super sweet. We had the part ordered and paid for in a few minutes and joked about the dust bunnies that were preparing an offensive in my home. 3 days later the part arrived. 20 minutes after that my vacuum was fixed and ready for another 20 years.
If your vacuum breaks don’t bother with anyone else. Just call McHardy.

I absolutely love my vacuum! Miele is the best make, well designed and well made. I've always had dogs and it picks up dog hair like no other vacuum I've owned. I'm so glad I bought it. Thanks, Dalia

I love this place. Thought my Dyson vacuum was a goner. I left it for a few days. They gave it back to me and it was like brand new. Even replaced the broken handle. I am supremely impressed.

There is a good reason why this business has been in London since 1946. It offers the best of service. McHardy also carries a great inventory of vacuum systems. We have been customers for years.

I have been going to McHardy Vacuum for years. I won't buy a vacuum anywhere else. You tell them what you need and they direct you to a selection of the best. They have all the filters and parts you need and have a great repair site.

First class service! Brought our inoperable, 10 year old Dyson vacuum in for repairs and got it back within two days, at a small fraction of the cost of replacement! The service was well explained and the machine was returned to us thoroughly cleaned.

Ordered a filter online. Good price, competitive shipping, excellent communication when there was a backorder and quick service. Nice to support a real Canadian business rather than a US megacorp.

Not so impressed with these people. Cold, sterile environment and the salespeople are snooty, snobby, nose turned up kind of people. The products are good, but they are VERY biased towards the Miele brand in particular. I certainly would NOT take any vacuum there for repairs unless they are the warranty approved dealer for the brand, I do believe they would intentionally price the repair job intentionally high to try to get the customer to abandon the repair and buy a new vacuum.after all, we all know how they make their money LOL. Better to go to G R Smith Vacuum on Horton St if you need repairs on a vacuum McHardy doesn't do warranty repairs on. Also seems to me the prices for accessories and the vacuums are a bit higher than their competitors.

BTW, if you need Miele GN or FJM bags and you live in the London area, go into the Dundas St store and buy in person. McHardy will sell Miele bags for $2.00 each plus tax from their open box supply of bags. Just beware that they do not come with the pre motor filter or airclean exhaust filter, you have to buy those separate - But if you are already using a HEPA Filter or Active AirClean Filter anyways not a big deal. Much cheaper than buying a box of 4 for $20.00!

Excellent customer service. Called to see if they had a part for my vacuum, which they did have in stock and placed it aside
