Have been taking my pets here for approximately 20 years. More recently they have taken good care of my dog. I am grateful for their support and patience over the years with all of my pets.

Everyone is very attentive and has a very good knowledge! They always take care of my dog ​​with the utmost love and attention and they are always following up on her, I highly recommend the clinic and the professionals, the best I have found so far in toronto!

I've been going to McLean's for over 5 years, with two cats and two dogs. Everyone there is caring, considerate and accommodating. I just had my puppy fixed, and they followed up regularly to see how she was doing, and it was very convenient to just provide pics of the incision instead of having to go in over and over again. One suggestion (if you have a puppy who is used to a lot of walks and agility), ask for the additional meds to calm them after surgery. Side note: You don't know which vet you're going to see, but they are all amazing!

I took my Feline sister (Fiona) at McLean on April 19,2023 for her check up as she is a diabetic. The staff and the doctor are very pleasant. They always take good care my sistereth (Fiona). We are attended promptly. I'm surely McLean Animal Hospital to all my friends who have pets. KUDOS to them.

I recently transferred my dog and two cats to McLean after feeling disappointed with the "corporation" vet experience at the previous vet clinic I used. Although McLean is a "corporation", it retains that vet-owned clinic experience. The vets are wonderful and experienced. They don't push anything. The support staff are equally wonderful. And the best part - possibly the best part - my dog somehow always used to know if he was going to the vet and he would shake and be visibly distressed the entire time he was there. I don't mean to imply that the previous clinic did something to him - not at all - but he found visits there very stressful. When I take Ollie to McLean, he happily gets in the car and happily trots right up to the door - he can't wait to get inside. It's pretty amazing. No shaking whatsoever.

Everyone at McLean is very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable and make the client and their pet at ease about situations.

McLean Animal Hospital staff is caring and patient. They are very welcoming and inviting. I recently lost my 11months old puppy and the entire McLean Animal Hospital staff has been very supportive and understanding. We had a very difficult journey with our puppy from start to finish and the staff (who are now a part of my family) have been outstanding. They followed up after appointments to see how he was doing, and sent email correspondences. They went above and beyond. I highly recommend McLean Animal Hospital if you are looking for a place that not just treats your pet, but loves them just as much as you would love any family member. Just a money trap! They don’t give you proper information and they charge you with something they didn’t mention before also they are accept and says it is our fault but you have to pay. This is an inappropriate behavior.

Have been going to McLean's with my dogs over many years. Trust their expertise. Great location; great staff.

I called in to get more details information about neutering my cat. I was placed on hold for 15 minutes and then I was asked to provide my phone number so that they can call me back because they were busy. Still no call back. I manage customer service team and this was not good experience at all. I contacted different place and they explained everything and appointment was booked within 5 minutes.

Have only been there once for my cat who developed a limp. Service was friendly and efficient. I left with confidence in a treatment plan that was cheaper than expected. Also, there was no pressure for any additional sales or services. I'm glad to have found this kind of care for my pets.

My cat recently passed away, and I took her to McLean Animal Hospital. They were extremely kind and gentle during this hard time, and it was really appreciated. Thank you

I have been going to this vet decades ago with all my family dogs and cats and just recently my own dog has been deteriorating and I needed to find a place that I felt safe and comfortable with knowing that my dog needed to be put down. So I ended up calling McLean veterinarian to see if I could get my dog Jersey another review of our health after other factors came up with her situation they got me an appointment right away and I did bring her in and I had a lovely doctor Who was very gentle kind felt like she had the best interest in my dog and it just felt like the same place that I went two decades ago with all of my family animals and so I knew that my dog needed to be put down and that happened today and I have to say that it was the toughest and hardest thing that I personally have ever had to do but this place was very kind gentle I felt like they had the best interest for my dog it felt safe and I want to thank them taking care of my dog even if it was for that day and helping me get through it I would absolutely recommend them for your animal and I only wish that I reached out to them when I had Jersey almost 12 years ago and chose them as my veterinarian. Thank you

It's been quite a few years but I want to update this review as my other review may have been too scathing and also to respond to the owner.

I used to go to this location a lot because I lived nearby when I first got my dog as a puppy. The experiences I had were very mixed, initially it was alright. The staff started out as very friendly, one was the technicians was awesome, very knowledgeable and had the same breed of dog as I do.

Unfortunately I didn't feel like the welfare of my dog was the priority, but the amount of money I could spend. They've definitely pushed expensive unnecessary treatments and misquoted the amount on an invoice. The friendly office manager completely flipped 180 when disagreed with and we parted ways. I quickly found a much better vet since leaving McLean. And to the owner, we don't have to agree, but that was my experience with your location. Now you have a completely different team of staff, I hope things have improved.

Any animal I have had living in Toronto. I will always go to this location.was referred by a friend and never looked anywhere else. Amazing service and they will always comfort your animals as their own.

I am very grateful to Dr. Dacosta and the staff at McLeans. My cat was in distress with a bad infection and needed to see a vet ASAP. Our regular vet would not look at him until 4 days later. Due to Covid even the emergency vets are not accepting any new pets and we had 6 rejections from other clinics before getting an appointment with McLeans for the same day. Luckily he is now fine after receiving antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication following positive bloodwork results.
Thank goodness there are still some vets that are sympathetic to animals' needs when there are so many callous clinics in this city.

I have been hearing all bout this place this week and wanted to share my story. I took my beloved cat here for a check up and had the same experience.that everyone else is talking about, they were more concerned about how much they could bill me over my kittys well being.i never went back and pray others will know this place is evil.thank you for someone for finally speaking out!

I agree with all the other reviews this place is awful, they over charge and when you question billing are made to feel like the enemy. Wouldn’t send my worst enemy here.

Great customer service. Dr. Bartlett explained everything over the phone, due to the gealth restrictions, and made sure all my questions were answered. All the staff are very helpful.

I have had problems in the past with this vet. But this group of gals are fabulous! I have 3 dogs, and while one has bad memories from here, the other two are happy to go in and calm when they come out.

I have been taking our many cats to MaLean's for over 20 years. What I especially like is that all the staff are women.

Long time stablishment, have taken my cockapodle since born (11years ago). Currently have to wait out doors for service (by app) phone calls sometimes do not get picked up, had to call back few times. Great service so far

I found my cat several fleas, but they said it was dandruff, then I found fleas on my cat's face and abdomen.it's horrible! Also, they cut her nails for free.

Just want to thank the staff for all their wonderful care over the years for our beloved George. Today we had to make a very difficult decision and they were supportive, empathetic and kind to us and the dog. Thank you for making George's transition so peaceful. Can't recommend enough.

A really good vet for pets! Just registered my new puppy here, they are very attentive here and are really friendly and kind to my puppy. I 100% recommend this place!

Great service and friendly staff, we have brought all of our animals here. We even travel from Oshawa back to here as they have always been fair to us whenever our animals have need vet assistance. Would recommend them for any of your furry family members.

I would like to say how appreciative my family & I were for the professional yet caring way in which Dr Low worked with us & the gentle way she handled our loving pet. The time she gave us to make our decisions that finally led to us having to euthanize Misty. Dr Low encouraged us to take our time & took us into a room so we can spend time & hold Misty during the process. We appreciate all that she did for us during this time & thank her for her caring loving way during Misty's final time. It tells us how much she cares for her patients & love for her job. Keep up the good work Dr Low my family & I wish u all the best in your future endeavours.

Never take your animals to this clinic. They are corporate owned, thus they are only profit driven, not care driven. They will push unnecessary procedures and products to keep the corporate profits flowing. Surprised they don't charge an entry fee.

I've been taking my dog here for a long time now. They are okay, some staff are a bit rude and rushing over the phone, some are friendly and nice.

Service is good, Dr Sean (no longer with the company) was great, Dr. Da Costa and Dr Low have seen my dog in the past for issues and other surgeries too.

For grooming I've only taken my dog here once as she needed to be sedated, they left out cleaning her ears. Will try to groom her here again though and give them another chance.

Small vet practice but gives you that personable feeling. Everyone was great and my dog was thoroughly checked over. I'm a very happy customer.

We just adopted an adult dog and were referred to McLean Animal hospital. We could not be happier with the service. All of the staff were professional, friendly, accommodating, polite, and so incredibly nice to our dog. He loved the visit as much as we did. The fees were so reasonable, we were expecting to spend more. In addition, we bought a 'Wellness plan' which takes care of routine visits for one year, along with some other perks. The fact that our dog, who has been through a lot before we adopted him, was welcomed with open arms, and wagged his tail the whole time he was there means a lot. Thank you to everyone. We are your clients for life.

I was looking for a new Vet in the area since we just moved and this place just stood out from it's photos. It seemed friendly and comfortable rather than sterile and hospital-esque.

My thoughts were confirmed when I arrived. They have a chalk board with your pet's name on it when you walk in the door. The staff attending the front desk are really friendly as well! When i set up the appointment they asked which vet i had been at in the past and they did the legwork to get past records for our cats. The vet was incredibly helpful and good with our cat and she talked for awhile about options. They handled him well during his brief procedure and all was well!

We will most definitely be bringing our other two cats here in the near future.

When I lived in the city I took my dog there for 4 years. I was very happy with their service with the exception that one inexperienced doctor wanted to muzzle him. Told him there’s no need my dog is not aggressive. Overall great place. Friendly staff.

Before I came to this great hospital the previous place had given my little one less than a month and diagnosed her with CKD. After a month under the care of this hospital and its doctors my little one's levels have all become normal and I was able to learn that the previous place had misdiagnosed her. If I could give this hospital a 100/5 I would. Thank you so much to Dr. Low and all of the staff members who work here. God bless you all!

WARNING! DO NOT USE THIS VETERINARY CLINIC!
I am extremely disappointed with this clinic as they are unprofessional, irresponsible, and extremely uncaring for the animals that come into their care! I dropped my dog off to be groomed at 9: 06 am and the lady told me "she would be ready AROUND noon" as it is not possible to give an exact time a grooming would be complete. At 1: 00 pm I called to ask if my dog was almost done getting groomed and why I haven't received a call yet as they have previously done every other time I have had her groomed. It was an hour past the time she said my dog would be ready AROUND and i was starting to get worried when I asked the lady why I wasn't called she told me the groomer had already left a while ago and that she was done, she the said "I don't know why you weren't contacted, we must have the wrong number). So THEY LEFT MY DOG SITTING IN A CAGE FOR OVER AN HOUR UNNECESSARILY, when all they had to do was make a simple 10 second phone call as they did every other time. Instead of admitting to their mistakes the lady told me that maybe they have the wrong number, but they have both mine and my sisters numbers which have not changed in years, even if one did not work the other would (which both do work). Their reply to my sisters review says that they do set an exact time for them to be picked up but you told me you had the wrong number and now your changing it to you do set an exact time so which one is it? Lying to cover up your mistakes is extremely unprofessional on your part. No one is perfect we all make mistakes but we as customers put our trust in you to take care of our pets. This is negligence! My dog faught for her life from Parvo in those cages and it is not a positive experience for her to be locked in a cage for over an hour long for absolutely no reason at all expect you are neglecting my animal and not doing your job properly. As a veterinary we trust you to take care of our animals, your not writing papers you have living beings in your care that are depending on you. If we were supposed to be there at "12" as the employee stated, after 12: 30,12: 45 rolls around wouldn't you call the owner to see why they haven't come yet to pick up their pet? If you had given an exact specific time I would have been there at that time! Or wouldn't you have told us to call you around noon to see if she was ready yet? All you said was AROUND NOON, which could mean many possibe times before noon after noon (that is not a scheduled time) what does that mean? That means i'm waiting for your call just like EVERY OTHER TIME! I am truly appalled at this unacceptable behavior I am paying you for a service, no one is perfect at least admit your faults so people can keep their trust in you, but instead you just keep making up excuses and contradicting yourselves. My sister and I were on the phone together after she had to call and then rush over, we were discussing how disappointed we were in this service and the lady at the front had the nerve to ease drop on our conversation and said"we were told to be here at noon by the groomer" while cashing out other customers. I had also called to discuss this matter to find out why they had done this and the same lady had asked me "I can hear people laughing in the back round are you guys getting a kick out of this"? I assure you no one was around me as I was in my back room at work and was clearly calling to discuss my disappointment at what they had done and absolutely nothing about this was funny in any way. Why would I waste my time calling to complain about these things if I believed myself to be in the wrong. When I got home from work my dog was not herself she seemed stressed out and sad which is not like her at all. You also stated in your response to my sisters review that you strive for the best patient care then why are you only contacting me about payment instead of apologizing for your neglect and mistreatment of my animal? This was not the first issue, I've had with this vet but this will definitely be the last, as i am switching vets now.

Convenient and close to home. Our new little one received her first check up and shots here. Very professional.

I went into McLean with my new kitten. The vets here, and we've now seen both are stellar, the nurses are great and so gentle with him for his nail trims. I feel well supported by this clinic to make decisions for my pets health that will help him live a long and healthy life.

The service is great every time I take my dog they checked him and address my concerns. I always get a cold next day to see how’s he doing even though I just took him for vaccines, great customer service. They offer a wellness plan, that gives me peace of mind knowing that I can just take him for a nail trim or if I’m concerned about something he will be treated with love and knowledge. Their team is very helpful, they always remind me of the services I have left in my plan, and encourage me to use them. (services included in it that are included in the plan and people should take advantage of).

My cat needed a dental extraction. From beginning to end, they treated my cat like he was there own. I was very nervous as it was the first surgery I experienced with my own pet but bless their souls. They took the time to reassure me that it will be okay and walked me through everything. Answer all the questions I had and sent me updates throughout. He came out of the surgery like a champ. Mclean staff are amazing. It was needed and I shopped around and it was the best price. They were more than willing to work with me as per payment and explaining every cost in detail. My trust is fully with them.

Very compassionate staff. We took our dog there to be put to sleep, he had cancerous tumor that ruptured. They helped us go through greif better than any other Veterinarian I have been to before.

The staff are amazing! We had our first visit to this clinic and we couldn't be more impressed. Everyone we met were very caring, knowledgeable and welcoming.
