I am living in Orillia. My son booked camping site here. I came to visit them for one hour. They charged me $18. The staff told my husband if we left within 45 min, then we could get $18 refund back. I said maybe we just stay here for half an hour, the staff told me $18 not refund if you don't leave within half an hour. Nevermind, we just paid it and made the things simple. I asked questions, the staff looks like didn't like my questions, but she answered my questions. I don't like here. There are less trees and the camping site is all open and no privacy compared with other camping site, plus poor customer service and ridiculous charges.

The worst place in entire Canada not clean, racist management and really had a bad time with my family súper disappointed

Had a great time here. The sites are huge. Really easy access to the bathroom which are pretty clean. The boat launch is great for canoes and kayaks. Powered watercraft probably not gonna happen though. Overall a great time, I'll be back with the kids!

Very nice beach with plenty of space for barbecue, tanning and more. The water is pretty warm on some days and is shallow, but the rocks underwater are a bit sharp, I cut myself a few times but just make sure to be careful and look down when walking, or wear water shoes

Nice shallow and sandy beach. Behind it, there is a grass area with benches for seating and making BBQ
The Washroom was clean.
The only problem is that you should reserve your car prior, and if you that you can not cancel or postpone or transfer to another provincial park.

Beach is very dirty. Geese poop and fathers everywhere. The camping site was big but covered in fire ants. Small park. Seems dirtier than other parks I’ve camped at.

Simple park with good facilities. Campsite 138 was spacious as are most on the southern side. Trails were well kept. Not much of a beach, but good for a day trip.

We make McRae Point a visit every year. Nice shallow beach for kids and great trails to explore. Large sites too

Very peacefull and quiet. Excellent walking paths, and long sandy beech. Not very many staff around.

One of the best camping places! RVs, boating, tents, hiking, walking and of course, swimming or just floating around the waters for hours. So many places to explore and if you’re lucky enough to book a site say, on the 150s… you’ll have your own private entrance to the lake! This is one of the best parks, not too big, not noisy, just fun!

Good for swimming and hiking! For the most part very peaceful except for a large group of noisy people!

Well maintained park. We were surprised that there weren’t individual
site hook ups for water, but water supply is accessible. Smaller campground, so it is manageable walk to the beach and lakeside areas. It is not overwhelmingly large, so my kids could bike around and know how to get around easily. Clean beach. Not very wide, but it is nice to have both grass + sand areas and a good mix of sun and shade with a quick and easy walk to playground, picnic area and washrooms nearby. Campsites in the north aren’t very private, but they are spacious with beautiful mature trees for a hammock or clothesline etc. Also, washrooms and showers are nearby. We also loved using the grill that they have attached to the firepits. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Great camp ground, win some nice beaches, and you get some great sunsets. Not a big park which is nice, and close to Orillia on those rainy days.

What a quaint, little gem on the coast of Lake Simcoe! We went for a 5 night stay in the North Campground, site 122 though, which isn't actually inside the campground but rather on the edge and surrounded by trees and forest. Definitely bring some OFF mosquito spray, but other than that, it's such a cool place to stay!

Pretty easy to get around. Beach washroom good for accessibility. Some persistent raccoons. Cute, good reminder to lock away all your food

Mid Aug 2022 weekend. The staff at gate allows Ontario Park Pass in without day use reservation but denied by check in station officer.
Come back on weekday but cloudy and thunderstorm follows. Done the online reservation on Pass but at check in, it was a not done deal. Officer does the registration right away. The beach is not huge and there are few day use visitors but the camp site are quite occupied. Breeze before the rain and it is pleasant to me. Less than 15 min, dark cloud gathers above head and thunder roars. Rain is not heavy. But it drives away the people. Still not a decent experience, though. 1

Washroom are decent in cleanliness. Camping spots are so open. Water in the lake is clean and nice and refreshing to swim in.

Loved everything about this provincial park. Small, clean, plenty of shade. If you come early you can find tables right near the water. Parking is close to the tables area.

We booked this camp site mainly because it’s on lake simcoe and offered a boat launch onsite. The camp sites on the south side were nice, large and private, easy access by foot to the water. But be careful, many sites are on large slopes (we were on 189- huge slope and nothing was level). The boat launch is literally not useable for a motor boat unless you have a small tin boat, it was really disappointing to haul a boat up there and not be able to use the boat launch onsite, I did comment on it to park staff and they responded “sorry about that it’s one of our main complaints that comes in”. Other then that the beach area was nice and water was beautiful for swimming in, shallow for kids. Fun park, good clean washrooms and overall nice size as you can walk to everything on the camp ground.

Great hidden gem. Large campsites, quiet and a pretty good beach. Couldn't complain about anything.

Campsite 98 was iuneven and mucky however perfectly situated hence the 4 star rating. Wouldn't recommend if you are looking for flat grassy situation. Tree canopy kept the trailer cool. One side protected with greenery affording privacy. Great little Park with hidden Beach inlets for a fun day of wading out for what felt like miles. Main large beach full of goose poop.would avoid.

Love the beach here, very soft sands and the water only to your waist even you walked far away into the lake.
