Very unfriendly bar. Definitely false advertising as this is by no mean an Irish bar of any sorts

While it was just like any other pub, I would like to point out the server Nico/Nicholas. I was told Thursday night after 10 PM, Gordon’s gin is on bar rail and it is for $5. When settling my bill, he over charged me and when I asked for a bill, he said he can’t print out the bill since there’s some issue. It had only been 5 minutes lol. Then he manually calculated and pretended he made an honest mistake which clearly wasn’t the case. One of the worst experience I’ve had with a server honestly. Avoid going, nothing special.

The menu that was available was not what you see on their website. Mostly comprised of interesting jerk chicken dishes in an Irish Pub. But hey, the jerk chicken wings and jerked chicken quesadillas paired well with the beers that we all had.

They know how to properly pour a Nice, Creamy, Delicious pint of Guinness. Live music ain't bad either!

On of the nicest most authentic pubs in Toronto. The place is family ran and everytime I have been here it got live music and the crowd give it such an energetic vibe that is also relaxing. Legit everytime I take a new person here the person will fall in love and would want to come back.

We were strolling by on a Saturday and heard live music. It was this amazing band that played all kinds of hits, including Irish classics. Everyone spilled drinks on eachother and was super fun. I didn't even mind, such a fun atmosphere with great people. We all sang and danced. One of those memorable nights.

Good selection, good pours, good pub food, good music and good atmosphere. What else could I ask for?

I celebrated my PhD yesterday in this gorgeous place. Well we passed a fabulous evening and the place was absolutely the reason for this fruitful evening. McVeigh's is a local favourite for their laid back atmosphere, affordable drinks, quality food and very hospitable staff.

Around the financial district it's hard to find such an authentic and historical establishment.

The customer service is constantly speedy, lovely mood, very welcoming employees. I will eat here again when I get here.

Great atmosphere on a Friday or Saturday night, decent food, not much more to ask for from a neighbourhood pub except maybe if the soft drinks were fountain as opposed to cans

I went there for dinner with friends. Food was delicious, Reasonable prices. Staff were friendly. Everything was well organised. Staff were courteous. Drinks was good. Great selection of drinks.

Their burger is probably as good as any burger that I've had in Toronto. It's tied with Allens in my mind as Toronto's best burger.

Captures the "rough Irish bar" vibe well enoigh, but nothing too special. Probably better with live music, tho

The place serves large dishes and for convenient rates.very welcoming owner. I recommend this place.

We stopped in for a drink after a stage show and they had a great Irish band playing. The service was quick and friendly and the music was fantastic. The ladies washroom could have been cleaner but overall a good place for beer and live music.

Popped in for a coke before doing the VR experience upstairs. Took 10-12 minutes from asking to pay to actually having paid. The girl was really slow bringing the card machine and just walked away then and was about 5-6 minutes before she came back

Pricing was reasonable, food options were solid. Nothing about the establishment was extraordinary but I was happy they had plenty of tables available at 9pm on a Saturday. It kinda felt like the pub was trying to be the very best 3.5 star experience it could have been and it delivered on that for sure!

One rather disappointing thing was that our server spent about a minute complaining about being there that night and how she was sorry that she wasn't peppy yet as it takes her a few hours to "warm up" and that she would rather not be there. I understand she was probably trying to seem relatable, but I didn't really appreciate this. Usually, service makes customers feel good about being there, not bad for the staff.

Would rate a 3.5 but I'll go with a 4 for now because it wasn't a wallet crusher.

This place has awesome service and tasty meals. My favourite spot in the area. The food came out fast and the prices were affordable. Highly recommended.

My friends and I come here as often as we can to see The Devil's Drink play we absolutely love the cozy environment and great live bands.

Fries were typical bae food. Atmosphere was nice and relaxed. Waitress Nana, was very hospitable and friendly.

Good service nice beer. Bathrooms at least the male one was clean. Looking forward to be there again.

I enjoyed having a drink at this pub this afternoon. A nice older Irish guy was tending bar, and the place was nice and quiet.

I made an online reservation on the pub’s site for 8 and when we came, the owner (not sure) standing behind the bar, said he didn’t know if we had a reservation since no name was mentioned. Ridiculous! I put my name in as it was a mandatory field! We waited quite a while until I mentioned to a female staff that we needed to be served quickly as we had limited lunch time. Only by then beer and foods were served. The foods were pub standard.

Good place to enjoy a drink or two and listen to some good old Irish type music. Just plan on staying longer than expected)

While this place won't win awards for fine dining, if you're in the neighborhood and looking for some decent pub food at a fair price, you can't get much better. The menu changes daily, but the prices haven't in quite a while (nor has the decor). $10 gets you lunch. Great spot for an afternoon pint. They have a stage for music in the evenings, and a second floor for events if you need a spot for a large group. Always busy for St. Paddy's Day - come early, stay late. Has been featured in a few movies as well.

Their kitchen was closed after 10 pm so we had to leave early plus the place is so smal and it nothing like the pictures but the music was good and fun
