Receptionist is very rude, how is it possible that everyone complain's about that issue and nothing is done about that!

I love my doctor she’s awesome but booking an appointment is made impossible by the receptionist team. They never pick up the phone, place you on very long holds, are not very nice, and I have been hung up on multiple times. Today I called at 11: 39 knowing they don’t answer the phones between 12: 00-1: 00, it got to 11: 57 of no one having picked up to hear it being picking up and then immediately ended.

What rude unprofessional people they have answering the phone! The pharmacy I use faxed the doctors office, the called me looking to get paid for reissuing a prescription, well here I am writing this horrible review…… because it is 29 hours later and nothing has been done! Oh yes and they have my money! They use to care but thing sure have changed!

This practice is excellent. Dr. Stuart Kurtz is wonderful and so are his colleagues. Nurses and desk staff are good.

If I could give no stars I would and only because of the receptionists. I have been a patient of Dr. Campbell for almost 10 years and so has my mom and grandmother. Dr. Campbell is great, she listens and is very thorough with each appointment. But the review and rating goes to the reception team which also seems to be a trend in the reviews on here. Every single time I call whether its for an appointment or prescription renewal the receptionists seem to not care what so ever. I get it, people are not always the nicest to receptionists (been there and done that, some people can be very impatient and rude) but this team is absolutely horrible. I hate to say it, but it's true. I called to see if my doctor had any availability tomorrow and was told "no". That's it.so I proceeded to ask about any other day this week and got "she's off til friday" and before i could say anything she said "mam its Wednesday so there's only Thursday and Friday left and she's not here". So I asked about next week (it's not urgent but I do need to see a doctor). She said "no but call back every day to see". Very unprofessional. I understand it's busy and so is my doctor, 100% understandable.but no effort what so ever to try and help, maybe see a nurse or find a date that she is available to see me for 15 minutes.nothing. It's unacceptable service. Not only that, but she never said who she was when answering the phone so I have no idea whom I was speaking with.she answered with "hi there". It's really a shame that I truly like my doctor but it's a pain to just speak to reception who is the Frontline whom are supposed to help you. She was awful. And it's not the first time I call and recieve an unpleasant receptionist. Please work on this as its really making your practice look bad and also making me consider finding a new practice. Doesn't even seem as if you read your reviews and see how many other people say the same thing.

Wish I could give this place negative stars, the doctors and nurses are kind, but the front desk staff is extremely rude. They have receptionists working from home so when you do finally get a hold of them they can’t give you the info you called for cause it has to be a nurse.and they are unable to transfer you to the actual clinic. 2 days in a row I have called and I was not impressed with how rude the receptionist was, I was hung up on mid sentence and afterwards my call was not answered. I tried 3 different times, I was left a message to contact the office.and I have been trying for days. NOT IMPRESSED. RUDE. Do not expect any help when you contact this clinic through phone, absolutely ridiculous

My doctor, as well as the other doctors I have occasionally seen at this clinic are wonderful. Competent, kind and efficient, and quickly providing referrals to other services when needed. The reception staff is very frustrating to deal with though. Staff is rude (I have been hung up on more than once), lacking tact, and mistakes have been made on numerous occasions. Some staff are great, but it's hit or miss, as some are terrible, and this means I need to follow up multiple times with regards to anything having to do with the staff as I can't trust that it will be completed appropriately.

Doctor's offices tend to not be the best in general, but this one sets a new bar for horrible. I love my doctor, but whoever owns this clinic definitely does not care about it. The receptionists are lost and clueless, they are rude as hell too. Good luck getting anyone on the phone, and when you do, they are rude and clueless.

Ever since COVID started too, wow did they get even worse. They forgot that other medical conditions exist. You still can't even go in in person, they're still only doing virtual, and if you have an appointment at 10: 00 a.m, you get your appointment call at maybe 2: 00 p.m. If you are lucky.

To the owner: sell the place if you don't care about it and your patients.

I love Dr. Gerth but their receptionists are never reliable. They are usually rude and very short when trying to speak with them. You can never get ahold of them. The doctors call went straight to my voice-mail and i called the front desk for over an hour and no answer. Absolutely ridiculous that I waited 3 weeks for an appt and can't even get on the phone with them. Extremely disappointed

I really appreciate the option for urgent care for whenever you need to make an appointment for something that can’t wait 3 weeks but also isn’t an emergency. I would like to see the option in the future for online chats / emails rather than having to book appointments for things such as prescription renewals or perhaps issues that don’t require a full appointment but you wouldn’t know if you didn’t ask first.

This morning (June 25,8: 40am) I called to ask about making an appointment. This clinic came up as "walk-in" in my search. First the receptionist took my call but we got cut off, I called back and it rang about 5minutes, she answered RUDLY, asking which doctor then VERY RUDLY said "this is a private clinic, it's walk-in for our patients only and we are not taking anyone". Then she promptly hung up.
She may have assumed when we got cut off that I hung up on her, but it's not true, and due to the tone in her voice the second time, I can only assume she recognised my number, avoided answering in hopes I'd give up, then treats me terribly.
Why would this clinic keep this woman? ! Is she the owner's relative? What a bad first impression of Meadowlands Family Health. She is a horrible public face of the organisation.

Waited 15 minutes at 10 am on a Saturday morning for them to open but no signs of intelligence! Phoned 5 times Abou-Shaaban couldn’t get a hold of them

Family Dr is great and welcoming. But some receptionists are rude and cold. We all have rough days sometimes but they need to be more professional and caring on the phone.

This is the the worst medical centre ever! Both my elderly parents are patients of Dr Fluit. Every time I phone for an appointment for them I am given a date a week or 2 away. This morning (Monday 9: 40am Jan 27,2020) I phoned for my 90 year old mother who has a pace maker and was having difficulties breathing. I was told she could get an appointment Friday Feb 1st, 2: 30 pm.nothing till then. Was told to take her to emergency. I remember from my dad that if you called at 8: 30am you could often get an appointment for that day. Receptionist never mentioned this, even after I questioned her about the Tuesday. I started looking online for walk in clinics and found that MFHC has an Urgent Care Clinic for patients each day. Phoned them back to ask why I hadn't been told this? Answer was I must have been told by the receptionist! Dr.told me when I called back again that I had unreasonable expectations of the clinic? WHAT an appointment within a few days for a 90 year old. It was the same scenario with my dad. In the end I ended up booking appointments 2 weeks apart for him and the cancelling them if we didn't need to go. When my dad died January 2019 after being a long time patient of Dr Fluit, I called him and asked for him to get back to me (there were extenuating circumstances) of course he never did! If you ever want to get an appointment before you die, don't use this clinic!

Informing clients of conflicting information. Was told to come in at a certain time then told that it was full when I arrived 15 minutes before said time. Not only was time wasted I was sick and nobody accommodated to see me

I remember going to this clinic a few years ago and the receptionist immediately gave me attitude when I asked her a simple question. If you cant answer simple questions without raising your voice and being mean to your patients than dont work as an receptionist in the medical profession. As simple as that!

I believe this is one of the best doctor offices in Ottawa. If you are lucky enough to get in. My doctor, Dr. Yao, is beyond amazing. I also appreciate having the flexibility of the urgent clinic appointments on a daily basis. Flexible and professional medical care.

Dr. Elias he was very good and spent time to listen followed up and when he wasn't there the doctor covering for him was available and so professional, but unfortunately since I started seeing her she was angry and didn't want to listen and since she is gone for her maternity leave I haven't been able to see the doctor covering as she is always booked or to get my prescription. She doesn't care about her patients, so sad!

I have had consistently great care from this clinic through some difficult ongoing medical issues. My doctors, Gunnink and Kang, follow up and my medical needs are met. I appreciate that the doctors do not make me wait and they do their very best to keep their appointments on time. They are compassionate, intelligent and skilled.

Considering how horrendous doctor's offices are in Ottawa, this one is not too bad. I get in not too long after my appointment time (my old doctor I used to wait 45 minutes-1.5 hours past my appointment until I actually saw her), the doctor's are caring, and the place is pretty clean and has parking. The doctor's I wouldn't say are the best of the best, but they are good and this clinic is overall not too bad compared to others.

Meadowlands family is a great doctor's office if you're lucky enough to have your doctor here. The staff is always real nice and normally wait times are not bad as the doctors tend to try to be on schedule. There is Wi-Fi here as well to kill time while you're waiting, which of course always makes time go quicker.

I cannot express how disappointing this health centre is. The receptionists are not well informed, as they provide conflicting or missing information during each conversation. They are never available and refer you to the clinic outside of the health centre to obtain your services if you do have an 'emergency' symptom. I am not yet understanding what the point of me having a doctor at this centre if I am constantly unable to visit them or call last minute on Friday mornings to make an appointment for day of. Overall the level of service has been atrocious and I am certain their level of service only gets worse with the age of the patients. Honestly, you are better off elsewhere and diagnosing yourself with OTC medication. The pharmacists will probably do better at advising than the people at this location.

The receptionist was super mean and turned away me and my daughter who had a very high fever. There was nobody else in the clinic.
