Do not try phoning them. I called because a boot I ordered was too narrow. I wanted to see if they had an old fashioned boot stretcher at their store. I called and was transferred to a department. No pickup. I was informed that if I waited it would transfer me to voice mail. After the fifth repeating message I tried the directory option because it never went to voice mail. It asked me for a last name and first name. I like MEC. Online customer service score 0/10. Sorry to say this because I like my MEC.

MEC needs to staff their customer service line properly. You can only say "we are experiencing higher than normal call volumes" for so many years. MEC, it is time to hire staff and deal with unacceptable wait times.

Great place! A must stop for me everytime I am in that part of town.

The staff have always been very helpful and courteous with everything from hiking footwear to recently purchasing a PFD for my paddleboard, it has always been a pleasant experience!

Their selection is impressive to say the least, I definitely recommend them for anyone who is the outdoor adventurous type.

Used to have more mountain equipment, and be a co-op. Found none of the canoe repair material they used to carry. Staff are friendly but not as knowledgeable as they used to be. Trailhead had all the boating stuff I was looking for.

Great customer service! I stopped there while cycling cross Canada! They helped me to change my panniers and making sure my bike is in a good shape! One star lower than 5 since the MEC pannier's quality is realllyyyy bad!

Thanks to Jonathan for installing fenders on my commuter bike today! I had taken them off because they rattled but then decided to put them back on. I called MEC and asked for the bike dept. I spoke to Jonathan who told me I could bring my bike in and have the fenders put on in a couple of hours. Jonathan put them on and explained why they rattled before, how he fixed that, and tightened the head set on my bike too because he noticed it was loose. Gave my bike the 'drop test' in the store, rode it home, and not one rattle! Awesome service! Thanks again!

The staff at this MEC is very helpful and friendly. I enjoy shopping here which is close to my office.

Found a great deal on a sleeping pad online only to have MEC cancel it because it was not actually available. Other than canceling the order, they've made no effort to suggest an alternative or provide a similar solution.

MEC is a well laid out store, with very helpful staff. There is always a very good selection of brands from value-priced to higher end. The clearance section of clothing is also quite extensive, and the good prices are found throughout the store. Always a go-to for gear to tackle all kinds of outdoor adventures!

Went to MEC to buy some hiking shoes. The salesperson working at the shoe station, Anthony, was very informative and served me with a positive attitude. Although it was busy, he remained calm and helpful with all of the customers.

I love MEC, it's a Canadian institution. This location is as nice as most. Paid parking is $1/hr and there's also plenty of parking streetside.

MEC has always met my expectations when it came to camping and paddling equipment as well as supplies. I love their assortment of freeze dried foods and specifically love my MEC tent. They have very reasonable prices and their MEC brand is definitely worth looking at.

I was shopping late in the season for winter boots, but most stores didn't have much inventory in my size, so I went to MEC for the first time. They had a lot of quality boots to choose from and I was super impressed with the knowledgeable staff. I left with a great pair of Bogs, and will be back again.
