I had a terrible experience with them. My husband and I had to get our blood work done, so we gave blood at the clinic, which sends the blood to med health. I got my report the same day without Vitamin D reports, and my husband got his reports the next day with his Vitamin D report and the payment email for vitamin D since it is not covered under OHIP.
Fastrack to our follow-up appointment with the family doctor for the blood work reports, and my doctor is confused just like me as to why the Vitamin D tests were not done for me.
1 week later, I receive an email with my blood work reports. I was confused to see the same report sent again and ignored the email. The next day, I got a call at work from the lab asking me to do the payment for Vitamin D by the receptionist who clearly doesn't know how to communicate with patients. I told her that I was at work and whether she could call me later, to which she very rudely responded, "Do the payment for Vitamin D, I called you for that. "
I kept the phone and waited to get out of work and call her back. She had sent me an email of my reports again and a payment email of Vitamin D tests. I called her after work to let her know that she was not polite with me and that it was a fault from the lab's side that they forgot to send me the report together. She was clearly unapologetic and wanted to keep the phone asap even after making me wait for 3 minutes on call twice.
The next day, I got an email for my vitamin D tests, and I still do not have access to my vitamin D blood work results. My husband had to call back the lab again to confirm whether the tests are done or not because the report they sent thrice did not show my any results for vitamin D and they were expecting us to pay for it. It was the same receptionist who answered his call and was again trying to end the call without solving the issue.
My husband had to stop her and tell her to listen to what he was saying so that she could understand the problem. The RECEPTIONIST'S name is SONAM, and you are not doing a very good job by speaking rudely to the patients for your mistakes.
After multiple requests and explanations, she directed the call to the IT department, who were able to resolve the issue, and I was able to see my Vitamin D results "after" the payment was done because it was an uninsured test. But my husband was able to see his results without making the payment first (his test was also uninsured). Clearly, this was the lab's fault, and the receptionists poor handling of the case.
I am very upset with the treatment the receptionist gave me for her own faults and will probably continue to do so with other patients. The IT department told us to let go of her behavior because we should try to understand the pressure on her because she is working in a medical field. We get that, but other people are working hard, too, and working in a medical field does not give you the right to disrespect others.
I am 52 years old and probably had over 100’s of blood work but I have never had someone as good as Silva at 3420 Hurontario street. I never even felt a poke, nothing, zero, she was amazing and I couldn’t believe that she had finished. If you are afraid of needles I suggest you go do your blood test with Silva.
Grateful for the attention received. My veins are thin and difficult to find and with you everything was easy and without bruises. Your hands are wonderful!
Terrible customer service, people who works here joke. I was trying to ask very quick question to solve the matter. They hanged up 5 times. Receptionist picks up the phone and dead silence because it is close to their closing time. I got angry and raised my voice in the last time she spoke to me and replied back but as soon as I address my question I’ve been told to call after 10 minutes which is after their closing time. They are kidding with people. It is disrespectful very very rude and that person deserves nothing. I don’t understand what is wrong with these miserable people.
I haven’t had this bad experience with any laboratory when I got the blood test. This was my first experience and definitely the last one. Firstly blood test were so painful which I haven’t experienced any time. Secondly for the one test they said to connect with family doctor and they cant send the reports to me. This is so insane. I am really disappointed with this location and service.
It can't be Worst than this! They put me to new stuff under training by herself.she couldn't take the sample after few attempts, she called her boss to help her boss was very rude.
Very painful blood test and my family doctor called to give me only one result and that he didn't receive the remaining results. When I called to ask what is the issue, the lady gave me the number so quickly and then hangup. I called again but no answer.
Called many times for an appointment, nobody answered, after 10 min of waiting my calls are dismissed. It is 9: 20 in the morning. Not encouraging for trusting them with my health. I will try somewhere else.
I had a good experience. I had bloodwork and my vein is hard to find. But nurse Sylvia did a good job at drawing the sample and helping me relax because I had an unpleasant experience at another/different place and had bruises from the failed attempt to get the sample.
My wife Aftaab had blood work from this place few days. Mirjeta Lokky was extremely patient and professional with her as my wife is not a big fan of needles. It was painless and quick as opposed to other place where 3 other people could not find a vein. Highly recommend this place if you are trying to find a decent lab.
MH Lab is very organized, excellent & professional staff, no delays, no standing for long time and very efficient. Booking an appointment online was very easy and I was assisted on time. Parking spots were easy to find. I just came back from my visit to MHL & I am very grateful for their assistance and support.
Rude receptionist. Tried to act professional but they’re best example of unprofessionalism and mismanagement. Can’t manage if they get more than 2-3 patients at one time. Highly understaffed. Also they would close on any random day with a notice like this. Waste of time if you get to get in or not, went next day wasn’t really busy still took more than an hour.
Edit: Thanks MHL Management. I’m not sure if I will choose to go there again. Also I had an ECG done. It was my first time so not sure if it’s like that on other places as well, but I was told to take off ALL of my upper body clothes and when I asked what do I change into (any gown or anything) she said no just take off and lie down with NO SHEET to cover! Thank God I had a stole to keep myself covered while she left me there for good 15 minutes telling me later that she forgot about me! I am traumatized for life by this experience of ECG!
Great experience in and out in less than 5mins. Was pretty easy booking the reservation online and when I arrived the technician was very gentle and quick with the blood sample collection, barely felt the needle!
I had a great experience here, my viens are so tiny to find, but Silva was amazing, she is so profional, patient and so kind and she did a great job drawing the sample so quickly without any pain. Thank you so much.
Silva was fantastic in drawing blood, I have small veins and generally a hard time with blood work but she was fantastic. Organized, quick and friendly staff!
