MedCare Clinics @ Niagara Square (Walk-In Clinic & Family Doctor)

Incompetent to say the least. Calling this place a clinic is like calling a puddle the Atlantic ocean, a joke. My cousin is a practicing medical professional - licensed in another country and yet still considered an expert by peers here in Canada - and has been to this and walked out disgusted at the incompetence of the "medical" staff, the rude ignorance of the receptionist. As my cousin put it this is worse than what you'd see in a 3rd world country and my cousin would know as they were overseas with Red Cross and other such organizations.

I had the BEST experience at this clinic. Sarah who is a Clinical Assistant is extremely knowledgeable and thorough. She reviewed my file before she met with me, reviewed all medications & asked why I was there. She provided requisitions for further investigation regarding my issue and explained everything throughly. I have never had such a good experience at a walk in clinic ever. The best part is that Sarah wanted to provide the best care. I really appreciate her professionalism, she is very good at her job.

This clinics staffs included owner and doctors are very rude and they refuse give care if they don’t like someone. Owner of this clinic he accused me when I asked the question humbly. Very terrible customer service.

Every single person I talked to was absolutely wonderful, the receptionist was very kind, the doctor was very helpful and the lady who took the blood test was so caring. Thank you so much for looking after me.

This place needs to be shut down, the staff are some of the most despicable human beings on the planet and dr Anderson li must have had his parents bank roll him through med-school because if that man is a doctor, than I'm the king of England. I've never seen such a miserable bunch of "professionals" in my life. Avoid this place like the plague.

Excellent walk in clinic. Got in within 10 mins, doctor knew what she was doing, got a prescription for my daughter and was on our way.

This place was really good when it first opened but has plumetted in quality in the last few years.

Please don’t waste your time or your health here. To learn your results you have to wait two hours, if you have a complaint about your health and would like to see a doctor, that’s another three hours. No hygiene and extremely rude front desk workers. There’s only one doctor working at all times no matter how busy it is.

Came here to refill a prescription before I left on vacation, dropped off the old bottle and script at their prescription counter and was advised to have a seat. The waiting area only had a few people in it, almost all of which were here to see a physician. I’m a pretty patient person however, I saw a few other people who arrived after me have their prescriptions filled and went about their day. After about 45 minutes, even I grew impatient and approached the counter to enquire if there were any issues with my documentation. They advised they just forgot to call my name out and handed over my prescription. Just incredibly unprofessional. I sound like a “Karen”, but come on now.

Went there twice just to make it on time and was refused to be taken in at 5.53pm and 6.30pm when they close at 7pm. They gotta understand that people leave work early just to be able to get hold of a doctor. Very unprofessional and rude staff. Zero stars if I could

They have us waiting here for so long and there’s barely anyone here anymore at this point their just walking around doing absolutely nothing.this visit wasn’t worth the money i paid when i first arrived the receptionist seemed to have a attitude with me.it’s over priced but the rest of the staff was nice and the place wasn’t dirty

Walked in yesterday with Grandchild got yelled at stating waiting time 3hrs, walked in today early had 4 other people thst came in after me get called prior to me, when request to check how much longer, received attitude with more people enter prior to my entry, then was told wasn't aloud in waiting room with grandchild and Dad while I'm not the sick one and fully vaccinated, hospital doesn't even have that rule anymore, then got from staff no need for attitude when I did not say anything, but had a look with the comment, never ever will return, if you don't like your job leave

The best walk in clinic. Staff are great and accommodating. Especially Mary Anne. I had to leave the clinic to go pick up my son from school. I was worried I would not make it back in time and lose my place. Mary Anne was very helpful and Imade it back to see the doctor. Doctor was attentive.

Ridiculous wait times! I tried to book an appointment as this is my Primary Physician and had a done so in the past. I was told it is only walk-in only. Looking for a new family doctor who can actually schedule times.

Wait times over 3 hours. Terrible service, lack of empathy and absolutely zero pleasantries or assistance from the 1 receptionist with dark reddish brown curly hair, eye glasses and drawn-in eyebrows. Just absolute rudeness - avoid her at all costs. Some people just don't belong in service field or around kids. All others are very nice and the wait is due to so many people being sick this season, not something under their control.

I've been waiting over a month for the results of my MRI to be shared with me, they never pick up the phone, and the inbox on the message machine is always full. Impossible to get a hold of your family doctor if they practice through them.

Clinic is dysfunctional. Front staff friendly and helpful but have no control over the PA who can't manage the flow of patients. Waited 3 hrs to see one with only 12 patients to be seen. Walked out. Would never go again or recommend this place. Stay away from any med clinic that you are seen by Physician Assistants.

I came to this clinic for my Heart Monitoring Test, referred by my family doctor in St Catharines, it's more than 15 days since I submitted my test and since than they couldn't generate the results. Whenever I call them to inquire about the results, first of all they don't pick the phone calls and if they pick, after 20 times trying, they don't have any idea about the results for my test.
Heart Monitoring Test is a very sensitive test, and a patient should be informed about the results asap, so he should continue his normal life activities, in case everything is ok, or vice versa.
I will ask my family doctor not to refer anyone anymore to this clinic. Also I am planning to launch my complaint at Ministery of Health, if they didn't provide my results soon.

Tell you it will be an hour wait with your 1.5 year old who is sick and after 1 jour and 45 mins they say another half hour to 45 mins. Worst clinic.

Medcare clinics has always helped me and my family and whenever we have been there, we have seen them helping every patient that walks into the clinic. The physicians, physician assistants, nurses and front desk are all very professional and knowledgeable. Please don't be disappointed by the negative reviews and continue to provide services to those who appreciate.

The worst. Stay away. Your “family doctor” at any MedCare is a not a person, it’s a business model. Their goal is some corporate notion that favours reducing costs over personal care. The ever changing Rolodex of doctors is a problem. Each doctor has to play catch up with the system info about you before your appt. And that’s if you actually get a doctor. You usually get a “physicians assistant” who my own family doc tells me has less training than a PSW. Calls often go to a “mailbox is full, try again later” message with no alternative numbers. You will not receive adequate care at this or any MedCare clinic

I made the mistake of trying to make this my family doctor. I'm currently 6 months trying to get an ankle issue fixed. I don't even think you see a doctor, just a "medical professional". They don't take appointments, so any visit has been an hour and a half wait- even if it's a follow up for untrasound or xray. If they know it's a follow up, be prepared to wait even longer.

This is honestly the worse clinic I have been to, I had been scheduled for a virtual phone call and they never called me, I had to call them back 10 times and no one answered me, after a while I finally got a hold of someone and the receptionist was extremely rude, the doctor called me and said she won’t be able to give me a doctors note for whatever reason when I went to their clinic to get the vaccine and the shot. Don’t come here, you’ll be wasting your time, this place is a joke.

We recently moved over to this practice and we've found them to be very professional and thorough. The admin staff has be excellent especially Maryanne.

The ladies at the front desk are the first people we see, it is incredibly rude to toss health cards back to clients after signing in. It makes a bad first impression, especially when people are being as nice as they were today.

Dr. Muhammad Umair Nawaz was very unprofessional. While we were asking him about my daughter, he just rushed us out that he has more patients to see and he is done for the day and refused to even take a look at my daughter. Saying, I am sorry buddy. He should be sorry himself that he is a doctor. Very bad attitude and don’t go to Dr. Muhammad Umair Nawaz untill he sorts his attitude and professionalism.

Lady at front desk is very rude she does't know how to talk with clients, people come at clinic for help not for her unnecessary attitude and arrogance

People in this clinic are bunch of liars. They tell you that they do phone consultation for flu patients and than no one calls.
You just keep waiting….

This centre deserves -100 stars. Last weekend I was there with my three kids 14,11, And 7 year old as they all complained about ear ache and running nose. After visiting at at least 3 clinics I was turned down by this Med Clinic as well giving me a lame excuse of suspected Covid symptoms with out any proper diagnosis.
I told them how many more clinics I have to run around with my kids to avail medical attention and an argument broke up with the receptionist who was attending our visit.
To my utter shock and disbelief another women who was watching our arguments popped in rudely and demanded that I leave their facility immediately or else she will call cops on me.
Such rude and reckless behaviour with sheer unprofessional attitude- what a SHAME!
I know I am not going back ever in my life time there and also my kids. We will warn everyone in our network to avoid this facility.

Brought my friend to Medcare and had an outstanding experience. Front desk receptionists were absolutely lovely and extremely helpful. Doctor was just as good. Would recommend this place to anyone, hard to understand why reviews are poor.

Called the Welland Clinic to make sure the doctors were not the same as this clinic. There is one doctor who is incredibly rude, does not care in the slightest about his patients and refuses to let you put in any input that isn’t agreeing with him. The rest of the staff and doctors are incredible, but the one doctor ruined the chances of me ever going back to this clinic. Unprofessional is putting it lightly.

What a disgusting excuse for a medical establishment. The Doctors are tired and careless. The receptionists are gross, rude, and not caring at all. I get better service from gas station. I understand clinics are hard to get to or whatever the reason, but trust me, go out of your way to AVOID this place. Can someone tell me how to report an establishment to the better business bureau or something because this place probably started the pandemic that's how gross it is. I wish I can give them 0 stars. The receptionist said they don’t make a reminder call for appointment and for another appointment at least 2 months wait. This walk in clinic has the longest wait time to see the doctor.

The worst clinic in Niagara falls with pathetic and unprofessional receptionist ladies especially the young racist one sitting on the left computer close to the pharmacy.what does she think of herself when people
of other races come to clinic? How can she be so unethical and above all insensitive when a child needs to be seen especially when it is the only clinic functioning on easter sunday. My child was tested negative for covid. But he had loose stools and nausea due to food poisoning. Jus because of that, the rudest and impolite lady made us waited for half an hour and never let us see doctor although there was none waiting to see dr that time. She was awful to me and shouted at me not to wait there as if she owns the chairs. I was running pillar to post to get a ride from niagara falls to st catharines where Scott street medical centre staffs asked me to bring my child right away before closing. I was waiting inside doing some phone calls to get uber ride and it was so sunny outside. Indeed she was starring at me for waiting there. Hate this place and repent on coming there even after reading reviews about these stupid girl and many of our friends changing their doctor thanks to front staff. I really wish I could file a law suit against the clinic for hiring nasty
staff. There is no point in writing reviews dear folks as the clinic never ever gonna take any stringent actions. I will make sure that there will be an official complaint regarding this medical negligence to Mayor Jim Diodati regarding this. Zero stars. Receptionist was rude and i was refused health care due to my red and white health card. She said it's not valid yet the is an exemption until Sept 20,2022. Brainless and rude.

Save your time and your sanity and go somewhere else. These people do not care about you all they care about is running your health card. I have major pain in my arm and I explain to the doctor that my arm was falling asleep regularly throughout the day. I visited the clinic four times and seen three different doctors, none of them even asked me to roll my sleeve up to look at my arm I was not touched by any of the doctors or looked at. They referred me to an orthopaedic surgeon after my ultrasound results came back. Only to go to the orthopaedic surgeon and find out that I need to see a neurologist. What a joke this office is.

Late Friday morning, come in, wasn't 25 minutes and out! C'mon, a walk-in clinic in Niagara that's so swift and easy goin'? Beauty!

Receptionist was extremely rude.cut me off while I was explaining our situation and then disconnected the call. Not a place I would trust to bring my daughter simply based on this interaction, zero empathy and no respect.

I would highly recommend this clinic. I was from out of town and needed medical attention. The staff was so nice.so courteous and extremely helpful. I even received a follow up phone call.

I've been coming to this clinic for over 3 years now. Unfortunately I have to give 1 star because of the Dr's I've seen this past year have been TERRIBLE! I filled out a form to be a patient and "assumed" I WAS a patient. Turns out after my last visit when I needed a Dr note I was rudely told "honestly you aren't my patient, I don't know you, or anything about you, I don't know if you go from clinic to clinic looking to get notes to be off work but I'm not writing one because it's not worth my time" (I've never used a note in my 20+ years at my job) I also had a female Dr the time before this who told me to "deal with my hernia. If it's hurting that bad go to the hospital" Total lack of human decency. The new receptionist is SO rude! The 2 ladies previous were AMAZING! The new one actually made me contact X-ray to resend my results to them because she didn't get them. The X-ray thought that it was odd I was doing it. I do have to say that I've seen Dr. Miller for heart issues and he is THE BEST! Kind, friendly, and actually listens. Will NOT be returning!

This is a joke in the name of health care. The most rude people one can find, who cant even maintain the records nor have the understanding what hospitality or healthcare means. Also the receptionists carry an attitude that is out of this world. Dont even deserve one star. Dont bother going to this place. Time and Money waste.

If you are walk in you can’t see a doctor what ever your situation is, you only can see a nurse or assistant all what he can do is to insert the symptoms you have into the system they have and follow the result of instructions and Prescription Its shocking.
Better to find another clinic where we can trust what medications we are taking.

The lovely woman at the front was beyond kind. She took care of this little boy while his mom got care. I feel so bad for everything the front line works have done. This woman went above and beyond! The doctor was lovely too!

I booked an appointment for a PCR test for a flight. I was on time for my APPOINTMENT and waited Over an hour to get the test done. This is ridiculous and I DO NOT recommend going here. What is the point of making a appointment if you cant keep it.

Who refuses helping a 4year old. I wouldn’t visit these for profit agency’s dr doesn’t not care about your health just his wallet. Plus the receptionist was a horrible horrible choice to hire

I’ve been visiting this clinic for 2 years now! Always great service by the girls in the front! All the Drs / PAs have been very knowledgeable! I’ve recommended the clinic to friends and family.

The office will not see a toddler or infant if they have a cough.what is the point in a walk in clinic if you won't see the patients in need to see a doctor? Especially when they can't get in to see their family doctor that day? They stated to me oh well we can have the doctor call you. How is that going to help to see if my infant has pneumonia? You can't hear the way they breath over the phone. Absolutely ridiculous. I wont be back again.

What a disaster! This place is run by PAs so you never see the same person twice and they all think they know more than the last PA so they are changing your medication constantly.
The reception staff are irritable and rude.
They’ve messed up my appointment multiple times where I have shown up and the doctor I needed to see was not even there.
But then if you miss an appointment they want to charge you $175… for mediocre service.
Ahmed is the the diamond in the rough.
He seems very knowledgable and competent.

I been visiting this place for the past 3 years, honestly I have never experience worse service than the clinic offers, I had a car accident last year, every time I went there to ask for a serious back pain that I been feeling after that, they simply did not give me an answer, Dr Makendy is a bad Doctor the time I wnt to the clinic and he saw me, his answer always was, that's nothing, that's not important to me.

I'm from out of town, and I had to bring my daughter in because she was coughing like crazy all night long and couldn't sleep. She was afraid of the doctor and puked in his office. However. Dr. Ahmed did a great job with his diagnoses and wasn't disgusted at all at what happened. He was very calm and friendly. We called ahead of time didn't have to wait much since we were there early. I really appreciate the care.
