My experience with Dr Kansal at Medical Eye Consultants was a very pleasant one. He was always professional, kind and patient. He took the time to answer all my questions through the whole process. I had no complications and am very happy with the end result.

My first appointment was in January at 710am. maps did not take me to the correct location and I was 5 minutes late. There was a huge lone up to check in with reception and they were experiencing computer issues. One person checking everyone in and multiple times I heard one of the staff say she couldn't use the second work station to help because there was no mouse. This seemed ridiculous. I explained the issue with maps and the receptionist said patients had told her this before and its an issue. Why not fix it then? I did this for them while in the waiting room. Youre welcome! Dr. Kansal is charismatic but wasted none of it on me or other patients from what I observed. Recently I went back for the recommended treatment, laser iridotomy. Again, a 10 minute wait just to check in with reception. They had me sign a consent form that they said i couldnt see until after i signed it on an electronic pad. This is concerning. After checking in, my name was called and I immediately got up but the woman walked away, telling reception I was missing. Am I supposed to run? Anyway, get in with the doctor and he does the laser procedure. I experienced some pain and flinched and he called someone into the room and asked her to hold my head in place without any regard for me. When he was done he legit just stood up and walked out of the room. I called after him like "what should I expect over the next couple days? " He said "blurred vision, the prescribed eye drops will help" and walked away. Hm.
What was immediately evident on both trips to this office is that they have high quality staff that very obviously want to be efficient. BUT they are not set up for success in this regard. Its frustrating both the staff and the patients from what I see in other reviews and felt in my own experience. However, efficiency isn't everything and I think that if patients were treated with some basic decency like "sorry for the wait" and "are you alright? Here's what to expect. " that it would go a long way.

I recently had cataract surgery through Medical Eye Consultants and am very happy with the results. After consultation, I opted for an upgraded lens and am thrilled with my distance vision. The procedure was well explained and the facility was well prepared for me on both of my surgical days. My surgeon, Dr Hassanlou was approachable and answered all of my questions both before and after my surgeries. The post op instructions were clear and I was able to complete my post op check up in the clinic close to home. Aside from having to wait several months with declining vision to see the ophthalmologist and even longer for my surgery dates, I have no complaints with the team at Medical Eye Consultants.

When it comes to medical services I like to form my own opinion. I really wanted to share my experience at the Medical Eye Consultants in Pickering. I have been there a couple of times and am so glad my optometrist referred me there. Every staff member I have encountered is extremely polite, friendly and professional. They so organized it's unbelievable! I've never seen anything like it! Especially considering that virtually every patient has eye/vision complications! I think their team should be teaching our hospitals to become more organized and efficient! I'm lucky to have Dr. Kansal as my specialist; he's super! I'm sure that all the doctors in the clinic are wonderful too!

I was an emergency case. Dr Salyani was very friendly & professional. I thought he was very thorough in his approach. A 1000 thank you’d are not enough! He fixed the problem & I have regained my vision!

My grandfather recently visited, and the service was exceptional. We were a bit nervous based on the reviews; however, the experience my grandfather had was the best!

I had an appointment today for 1: 30, showed up early and was taken in within 5 minutes. Then sat in the waiting room for about 15 minutes when I was called in and they did 3 different tests which took time. Then waited about 25 minutes to see the doctor to discuss my results. All the staff was super nice and friendly, doctor didn’t rush me listened to my concerns and put my mind at ease. I was in my car before 3: 00 and on my way home. I will definitely be back to see her in a year or sooner if necessary.

I got an foreign body in my left eye, and went to the (ER) and they couldn't remove as it was to far deep in the eye. The (ER) referred me to a different ophthalmology clinic initially.and they never got back to me. So basically I had this object in my eye for 4 days now. I walked in Medical eye clinic and the receptionist was very helpful I don't remember her name but there were two.fyi she was (caucasian) I'm only mentioning that because I don't remember her name. She got me to see Dr.kansal and he took care of the the foreign object in my eye. I really appreciate their help, I'm relieved now and can go back to work thanks to them.
