I recently had an unfortunate and disheartening experience at Medical One Center, which I feel compelled to share. As a patient with a disability, I had hoped for a healthcare environment that would be understanding, accommodating, and respectful. However, my encounters with the medical staff left me feeling disappointed and frustrated.
First and foremost, I encountered numerous barriers in accessing the medical facility. The clinic's physical environment lacked even the most basic accommodation knowledge making it challenging for me to navigate independently. I felt as though my needs were an afterthought, and it was disheartening to realize that basic accommodations were not readily available.
Furthermore, upon discussing my specific disability-related needs with the medical staff, I encountered a concerning level of ignorance and lack of awareness. Instead of empathetic understanding, there seemed to be a feigned ignorance regarding my accommodation requests. As a result, I was left without the necessary support to fully participate in my healthcare decisions and to receive the medical attention I required.
Additionally, I faced significant delays in receiving essential medical records and test results. It appeared that there was a lack of urgency in addressing my medical concerns, which only added to my distress and heightened anxiety about my health.
Furthermore, the overall attitude of the medical staff was dismissive and unsympathetic. I felt marginalized and disrespected, as though my health concerns were not taken seriously. This lack of compassion only exacerbated the emotional toll of my already challenging medical journey.
Moreover, I discovered my medical records were mishandled, and sensitive information could inadvertently shared with unauthorized individuals. This breach of confidentiality left me feeling vulnerable and unsure about the security of my personal health information.
While I understand that no medical facility is perfect, I cannot overlook the systemic issues I encountered at Medical One Centre. My experience raises significant concerns about the clinic's commitment to patient care, patient rights, and disability accommodations.

Very long wait time even after appointment is booked! When asked with receptionist how much I need to wait she said she don’t know! Every time new doctors! If asked for previous doctor they keep saying same! Wait time will be too long or he is not in soon! Very disappointed with the service.need to find another family doctor.

The staff is friendly but not efficient, waited 50 min to see the doctor, never received any answers to my questions, did blood work which got lost, called after a week for results, no one knows where it went, not in the clinic, not in the lab, asked me if i wanted to do it again…

This clinic is NOT so much a "walk-in" Clinic but rather a Family practice. Unless you are a patient there, you will be waiting FOREVER.
Waited for about an hour, but doctor was only seeing other people who I guess had an appointment (not sure why everyone else was let in right away without waiting).
I ended up leaving after waiting for an hour to a near by clinic and I was seen right away. I would never go back to this practice even tho its the closest to my home.

I'll give 0 star if I could.
This is the worst clinic I ever visited, so unorganized. I'm not really sure what to say about the receptionist she always under pressure.they should hire an helper.

Worst clinic ever. Though it’s a walk in clinic. I reached there 40 minutes before their closing time. Receptionist still said no that they are not going to take any more patients for the day. Why would you guys call it a walk in clinic. Then. I tried one more time politely if doctor could see me for few min. She was rude and refused it again. Won’t recommend! Until they have better staff

It was amazing before all 3 doctors and receptionist left the clinic. New doctors don’t care, don’t listen details and don’t ask questions, very fast in making decisions. I had to argue that there were more symptoms that meters (based on my previous health conditions), and only after that I was listened and got the right treatment. Receptionist is not able to manage her time. And it takes more than an hour to see the doctor even if you have an appointment.
