Medisys Preventive Health Clinic

I went to get a medical for transport Canada from this clinic. Every little detail and imperfection, they wanted me to follow up with my doctor, get more blood work, etc. By time my Transport Canada Medical was finally complete and issued, a total of 9 months had been wasted. When I received my medical, they incorrectly wrote that I had anxiety which would affect my duties on board a ship. The medicals are only good for two years so I spent $400 for them to waste almost half of it. I would rather leave the province for a medical as opposed to ever returning here.

Larissa was very professional, informative and kind. The testing process was very smooth. I would highly recommend this place.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Telus Health Care Centre, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me warmly, making me feel instantly at ease. The level of care and attention they provided was truly remarkable. It's evident that the team at Telus Health genuinely cares about their patients and goes above and beyond to ensure their well-being.

I was there to do my medical check up for the first time here in Canada and doing it after 2 years i was little bit scared firstly. However, Larissa make sure that I'm fully comfortable and not nervous at all during my tests. She guided me throughout the test.

Moreover, I thought it would take lots of time due to several examination were to be done but the process was extremely fast and facile.

For the service and guidance i would give Larissa 10/10.

Great pre-employment health screening process conducted by Andrew. The wait time was horrendous for this clinic but once I started the appointment with Andrew it was well laid, easy to understand and very clear with the process.

Larissa was extremely professional, clear and efficient when doing my medical testing. Explained everything perfectly and made sure I understood the why behind every test.

Great experience, very professional. Andrew is very good at what he does clear instructions and the ladies at the front are very helpful. Would go back in a heart beat.

I visited here for my medical test and Larissa was assessing me. She was great and made the process very easy. As a person too she is great. Interacted with me and helped me get through my tests very smoothly.

The center was busy on the day of my assessment, but from the very beginning Larissa ensured that I was comfortable and clearly explained every step of the process. Overall great experience.

Wonderful front desk staff with curly hair helped me out and she was very patient - thank you. Brian, the kinesiologist, was very understanding and easygoing.
Waiting time is a bummer so make sure you get an early appointment.

Both the nurse (Larissa) and doctor (Dr. English) I saw were great. I would recommend scheduling an appointment earlier in the day as you will likely have the best luck at reduced wait times. I think the facility could probably benefit from establishing some creature comforts in the main waiting area as it's a bit bare bones.

Great service. Larissa did my tests and Sarah was my nurse. Both of them were incredibly professional and easy-going. Very positive experience.

The reason the I give them 4 star is because of waiting time. My appointment was at 10: 20 am, but I was called at 11: 20 am after I reminded them. Otherwise, it’s a clean and organized place. Thanks Larissa for your help. It was fun and fantastic!

Amazing customer service from Kristen, Brian, Marie-Helen and Anh. The process was quick and easy but most of all the staff members were super kind and thorough with their explanations.

I was here today for pre medical assessment. Staff was very welcoming and polite. Special thanks to Larrisa and Andrew for making this appointment go very smoothly. Larissa went over all the little details and explained the purpose of everything she was doing and she is very kind, a fun shelf and very professional. Great work guys. Thank you.

Appt was at 1130, still here 3 hours later waiting for the doctor after my tests.
If they schedule you a workplace medical here, request elsewhere save your sanity

My appointment is 12pm but i arrived 40 minutes early but still the receptionist assisted me and i did not for wait untill 12pm. Good place to have your Medical test from receptionist to the guy named Bryan who took my Medical test is so relax and nice. Thank you Bryan and to the receptionist on this day Sep. 6,2022.

Wow! The wait was a little long at the beginning, but Larissa made up for it with her caring and fun self! Great explanation on what we would be doing, as I was getting quite a few tests done. She even took care to wait for the rubbing alcohol to dry before pulling blood knowing it would sting. Very thoughtful! Larissa is in the perfect profession for herself and I’m sure will do well in her career.

Beside waiting as they told me, so I was expected. All staff were friendly. I recommend this place.

Seems like they schedule too many appointments per day and might not have enough staff. Wait times are very long.

Insane wait times between testing and to be released. I had to fast for a blood test. Arrived at 12: 00, wasn’t admitted until 12: 40;20 minutes past my appointment time. Finished the basic tests in 15 minutes and then waited over two hours for the rest of my medical, including the blood work. No water or anything available so you’re just hungry and thirsty the whole day. I would not recommend this place.

I was scheduled for a health assessment for TTC today (jan 17 2022; snow blizzard) @9.45 am. The appointment has to be cancelled. However, they were amazing to reschedule at the earliest slot available.

Came to this location for a Pre-Employment Medical. I was told it would be a 3-4 hour appointment and it was almost exactly 4 hours. Everyone was very friendly and professional and Any questions I had, were answered immediately.

My only negative thing with this appointment was that there was a lot of sitting and waiting between the different tasks and I feel that there may be a better way for this to flow better.

BUT. I was warned that it would be up to 4 hours so, I'm not mad. I just figured it would be 4 hours full of assessments. Not so much 3 hours of waiting and 1 hour of assessment.

All this being said, I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who needs an assessment. Just prepare for a long stay.:)

They are all professional nurses and doctors; they were really organized and punctual. They told me they would submit the result in up to 10 business days. Highly recommend this centre.

Went for my marine medical examination, the staff there were amazing and went far above and beyond what was required. It will cost more, but for anyone looking for a marine medical, I would highly recommend this location.

Don't go there! I went last year, inmin October for mymmy examination and I was pregnant at that time, so I couldn't do the x-ray. On February I received a letter from immigration asking to complete the x-ray since I had my baby in January. So I called there and I made an appointment for the next day, I went and I did the x-ray around February 20, and immigration still holding my file so I decided to call mediays on July 15, and they said that they haven't sent the results because the doctor didn't like what she found in the x-ray and they told me they sent me an email which I don't have and no body called me at that time to inform me that I have to redo the x-ray, so now I have to do it again and wait until they send the results to immigration. Very bad experience with them. Choose another location.

My appointment was for 1: 15pm and was told to fast/no water for six hours beforehand. It is now 3: 15pm and I am currently still sitting in the waiting room waiting to been seen for a physical required by my employer.
Maybe I'm just hungry but I am VERY UNHAPPY with not only the wait time, but also the service. I will be recommending to my employer that we change who does our physicals. Only star is for the free wifi.

DO NOT GO THERE! I AM TELLING YOU - DO NOT GO THERE! 40 days passed and They didnt submit the results for immigration! Can you believe the amount of unprofessionalism? 40 days and they didnt even bother themselves to submit them to goverment systems! Why do they even work if they dont want to work? CHOOSE ANOTHER LOCATION because this location is SHT.

Please DO NOT consider this place for your immigration medical exam. I chose the place because I booked mine late and this location has multiple panel physician so I can get an appointment right away but turns out there were more trouble afterwards. I had to go back for a repeated X-ray and had to pay extra for x-ray and obtaining results afterwards. Totally not worth the trouble. My advice is book early and book with a good rating medical facility!

! DO NOT GO THIS PLACE FOR THE MEDICAL EXAM!
It was total mistake to go there for the PR medical exam. It took more than 1 month (1month and +2weeks now) and they told me they are going to upload the result today, but they didn't.
I don't know when they are going to upload my medical exam result. I am just wasting my time.

Horribly disorganized. Went in for a 1230 appointment for a medical test and waited over 2 hours to see the doctor

Unprofessional! I will be going back for a 3rd visit to have a repeated blood test. Frustrating! I'll rather not write a review instead of a negative one. But this is absolutely unacceptable. Time and resources wasted just because of negligence and quality management issue. They should find the root cause to their anomalies! The fact that I had to call to understand that a 3rd visit is required is annoyingly crazy which means I'll have to wait at least 2hrs before being attended to at the reception. If you've never used their service, I strongly advise you never to make an attempt! My first visit was March 19 for immigration medicals and still on it with a repeated test slated for April 9! This means my immigration process will continue to be on hold till they get it right! This is depressing!

We went there to do our medical exams for an Express Entry application. Although the doctors were nice, the administrative staff was quite bad. We had several mistakes done to our files like wrong passport number, wrong date of birth and even wrong country of birth and country of deliverance of the passport. The mistakes took a while to be fixed as we were told they couldn't update our information as the system doesn't allow it (a computer system blocking edition.). They told us they have to contact the support team in Australia (you know, different time zone etc). Yes, Australia for immigration in Canada. Moreover after 3 months in the processing of our applications, we received an email telling us IRCC didn't receive one of the medical exam. We had to go back to the clinic to fix the solution. For a medical exam that costs $300 and being quite important for immigration, I would NOT recommend this clinic.

TLDR: If you have to do any medical exam for an Express Entry application, be prepared to face many issues due to the incompetence of the administrative staff. Knowing the importance of such an exam and its cost I would absolutely NOT recommend this clinic, go somewhere else.

This place is a joke. Overbooked like a zoo! 130pm appointment? Make sure you're free until almost 6pm and park accordingly! The company that sent me here for screening should be ashamed.

Very helpful staff. Only complain is that you guys shouldnt use vitacorp for your xrays. They are very dismissive and rude.

NOT A GOOD PLACE. X-ray will never work. Hassle to waste your office time to come here two times.
This place is no good when compared to other medical facilities. My first visit was in April where I almost waited for 5-6 hours. My blood work, physical examination took me this long. Later at 3: 30 in the noon we heard X-ray facility is outside the building somewhere else and is not working. Had to come over again.
This X-ray issue is quite common here. My husband who got test done also faced sane issue few days back.
