Mehfill Indian Cuisine

My dining experience at the Indian restaurant served by Taran was delightful. Taran's attentiveness and knowledge of the menu enhanced my evening. The dishes were flavorful, and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend this restaurant, thanks in large part to Taran's excellent service.

We went by chance as originally we had gone next door to pick up some vegan pizzas and bumped into Gaurav, the young enterprising owner of Mehfill.

Started talking and decided to check it out whiles waiting for the pizza.

We decided to try out a few vegan dishes whiles waiting and were blown away by the taste, freshness textures and spice blends of the dishes.
Simply incredible.

On top of it Gaurav didn’t let us pay.

I’ve never been so welcomed and made to feel so special in any restaurant ever!

This felt like going to a close friends home for a meal.

Luck by chance we went back to the beaches area on Mother’s Day so we picked up a takeout parcel.

Mehfill is simply irresistible, maybe it’s the food or the unbeatable hospitality.

The spices are distinctive, having a touch of Indore (a city in india) they are freshly roasted and ground making the food taste even more better.
No two dishes taste same, so that’s a clever way of cooking.
The starters are delicious, the Palak patta chaat is crunchy and different.
We loved it!
They serve Vegan food which is a blessing for us.
Hopefully in the near future they shall be starting a full Vegan Menu.
Looking forward to to that Gaurav.
Overall Mehfill is on its way to becoming one of the better Indian food restaurant in Toronto.
Specially with the owner’s attitude towards service and hospitality.
He’s incredibly generous and it’s reflected in the food.
It’s cooked with love.

Food was ok and tasted fresh. Dishes we ordered were not spicy, but I forgot to mention while placing the order so no issues.

What really bothered me what that paneer dish had lots of gravy/sauce but was very light on paneer. Same with lamb dish.lots of sauce but very light on meat. The take-out combo we ordered came with main dish, naan and rice. But again the main dish was enough to go only with the naan.or rice, but not both.

Prices are what you'd typically find at other indian restaurants these days, maybe a dollar or two higher here but would still consider paying that for decent food. However, this recent trend of jacking up the prices while also reducing portions/skimping on the main ingredients is rather annoying.

Disappointing, I was quite looking forward to trying this restaurant just around the corner from me.

I’ve never visited the store in person but I’m a regular at getting deliveries from them. They have the best Indian cuisine in Toronto area. The food always feels fresh and taste is also very good. Would highly recommend.

Good food, knowledgeable and friendly service, fast serving, decent meal size and price. One single criticism: the beer should be Always served cold!

Authentic Indian punjabi food.

Tandoori was real tasty.and daal makhani was right on our money.

Best food ever. I hope you can maintain your taste. First time ordered from your restaurant. It was heavenly.

Really huge menu.it takes time to figure out what is what.

Food in general was good except at the end
the spices were overpower everything.

Our table didnt got much service even the restaurant was really slow.

Place was decent and clean.

The food was delicious however the service was so ridiculously bad that I won't go back. It took an hour from the point the first person received their food until the 4th person got theirs. The Masala chai took over 20 minutes and it was lukewarm milky tea with no spice. FYI, we were the ONLY table to serve.

They were very attentive to our requests and were very concerned that we were happy with our food and the spiciness we were comfortable with. They were very busy on the day we went and had only one server run off her feet, yet she was so, so nice. Thank you.

We tried this restaurant for the first time and the experience was amazing. The food was really up to the mark with heart warming customer service by Shayna. The table was cleaned and sanitized everytime.

Great food in a nicely modern and cosy setting. We mostly ordered from the Hakka style menu.really enjoyed that and the Friendly helpful service provided by Swoyu. Next time will try the tandoori section of the menu. Looking forward to it!

Ambience, food quality and service is great but expected consistent taste compared to other branches. All in all great to have Mehfil at the Beaches

The place is very good, they have a nice ambience, the food was good as well.
And our server ‘shayna’ was amazing, she had that warm smile always on her face, all in all we had a good time.

We ordered fried veg momo, tandoori shrimp and paneer handi with garlic naan and butter naan and they were all so good! Indian restaurants food usually disappoint me in the end but not this one. The naans were so soft, not so thick but still good and so crispy and you could distinctly taste the flavor of garlic and butter on them. We enjoyed the paneer handi (first time trying this dish) a lot for they were generous with the paneer pieces and the gravy was really nice with a good blend of tomato and onion puree with a very slight flavor of cashew paste in this. We ordered spicy but it wasn't as spicy to me but was perfect for my friend. I really liked the food here and wanna come back to try other things on their menu!
FYI, They newly opened 2 months ago and the ambience is pretty nice and cozy with good selection of hindi songs being played. I mean who doesn't like Arijit Singh's songs right? Perhaps add in some of the Bollywood dance party songs too?
