Great food, great people! I def recommend this place if you’re feeling like eating at a good quality Chinese food restaurant! I wasn’t expecting Kitchener to have this place, but thankfully they do! Give it a shot

Excellent place for takeout. Fair portion sizes, especially for a big family. Food is always made fresh.

We've ordered our Christmas Eve dinner from Mei King for the past 6 years. Never had a problem until this year, when they forgot our chicken fried rice. They remedied the problem quickly and professionally.

Stopped in for lunch with my grandsons before Christmas. Had a lovely visit with Mia and lunch was fantastic! We'll certainly be back! Everything we ordered was. FANTASTIC!

Chicken balls had too much doe and small portions of chicken. The chicken fried rice lacked chicken and wasn't hot. If you want a good Chinese restaurant, I highly recommend Hong Kong seafood in Kitchener, if you think mei king is good, you'll love my recommendation.

Had supper here a couple times, friendly server gave us good advice and great service and even gave us a cool holiday calendar.

Been going to mei King for over 40 years from New hamburg went there tonight 6.45 3 of us they only had 4 tables 1 had to be cleaned for us to sit will be about 5 minutes I said no problem I will go to the washroom to wash my hands as I am a truck driver my wife and daughter picked me up she said we don't have any washrooms for you to use so I raised my voice and said let's go we are leaving we left we ate at Cameron's Chinese restraunt was a really good place don't go to mei King and expect to use the washrooms very very very disappointed will never go back and I am telling 11 of my freinds stephen smallpiece from New hamburg

There are only a couple of tables, near the front entrance. The back of the dining room is dark. No washroom, and no plans to add one. Dishes are served in takeout containers, on paper plates instead of china. For so many years, Mei King was a welcoming place to visit, with a reliably tasty Chinese-Canadian menu. Now it would be better as a takeout/food delivery business, only.

I've eaten here several times (both takeout and delivery) and the food is always fresh and flavourful! This family run business always has friendly service, which makes me want to return again and again:)

Always a go-to when we're in KW. Food is always ready when you get there within 20 mins. We get takeout most times.

Lovely local business! The owner was so nice to me and my friends. Foods were really good for the price. We had a wonderful time dining in and will come back for more.

Came here tonight with my two friends after our badminton session. Honestly, made our day eating here today! The food hit right on the spot and it's reasonably price. The lady who owns the place is super nice and gave us random goodies to take home. The way she welcomed us and served us made us felt cared for. It's Thanksgiving as I'm writing this and I felt so blessed and grateful stopping here tonight. I could feel that the locals/regulars who come here truly feel the warmth of this place - food wise and people wise.

Highly recommend Mei King, food is good, prices are great, and the service is phenomenal. Tonight I went in to pay and handed them cash, I thought I had more but didn't so paid the rest on debit, and when I left with my food the lady followed me out to say that two $20 bills had stuck together and ran out of the restaurant to give me one back. Just for that good service I will be a customer so life!

Most of the food was incredibly bland; none of the dishes had any wok hay, and pretty much everything suffered from a severe lack of seasoning

The mapo tofu was the biggest offender, and probably the worst mapo I've ever had - no heat, salt, numbing from peppercorns, or black bean flavour at all

Prices were pretty good (although the ginger "beef" was 90% onions and peppers), and the chicken wings were actually fantastic, so it saves it from a 1 star, but I wouldn't order from here again
