Owner is so rude with racist behaviour. We wore about indoor shoes in the car and the owner wanted to come and check if our outdoor shoes were actually in the car! Our shoes were really clean. I visited yesterday around 9.30pm. The person was really bad attitude.

Please not do go there. Found out another court in Pickering

It’s ok. It’s a bit expensive and there are many dead spots on the court when playing pickleball.

Plastic wraps to ensure ball doesn’t go onto another court but nets would be better for better ventilation.

It’s a nice “alternative” when you can’t play outside!

Owner (Richard) as written in the previous reviews is very rude. He blocked my number and we confronted him for doing that. One of our friends were able to contact and he has specifically blocked my number. I would not recommend anyone going to this facility. I’m sure he is going to repent for his arrogance.

Terrible place and racist administration. We’re done with this toxic environment and have discovered a hidden gem on the other side of 401 (Khel is a new place and just 2 kms away).

We used to come here once a week for the past two years. Things have recently changed, and the owner and his arrogant son have been bugging us with some ridiculous policies. Long story short, when we confronted the owner's son about blocking our friend's phone number and complaining us about cancelling our court, he asked us to get out of the property. The owner's son was behaving like a spoiled child, refusing to answer our questions and instead being provocative. This is their way of doing business

Please not do go there. Found out another court in Pickering called Khel. The staff a so friendly and professional. Khel is a highly recommended place! DO NOT GO TO MELATI MAS SPORTS!

The staff and owners are the best part. Great people and a great place for fun games and to bring the family!

It is safely place for your kids to gain lessons here.
If you just want to have a court to play normal game with your friends, you can rent courts at anywhere but if you want a safety environment and clean court for your family with kids, it is really safety to play here. The courts here is cleaned every day with protected courts. There are big protected gaps among these courts giving us more rest to have them place here. I know some others may not care about Covid anymore but how about other virus may affect to your kids? Sports place should improve your health, not cost more trouble.

Great badminton facility with 8 courts well spaced out. They are hosting Badminton Ontario Jr A tournaments this Saturday and Sunday, Apr 1st and 2nd.

There are 8 courts to play. Courts are maintained properly. You have to book the courts in advance.

Well maintained courts and nets.
A little pricey but worth it!
And please have more fans its gets super hot indoors in summer.
UPDATE A YEAR LATER:
Went to this place multiple time in summer season then came back a year later in winter season and the owner created a fuss for not having indoor shoes. Which he did not mention at the time of booking.
When i confronted him, he started showing his policy board to everyone and stating its been here before the start of winter.
The problem is not the policy the problem ks not stating it at the time of booking. I visited with a group of 10 people and all of us had to leave the vicinity due to this specific reason.
On top of that owner asked us to play barefeet on the mats.
Never coming back here because of his rude behaviour.
There are much more badminton places in Scarborough side which are much better in terms of lighting ventilation and the management.

Owner is rude and has zero concern towards customer service. I had to call about 5x before someone actually picked up when trying to book a court. Also no answer again when I tried calling multiple times to cancel my reservation, but they had no problem calling me as soon as I didn’t show up on time. I wanted to explain I DID attempt to cancel my reservation, but owner kept rudely interrupting me to repeat his “policy”. How am I supposed to give 48hr notice of cancellation when I booked the day of?

I had intentions of being a regular customer, especially with the winter season approaching - but the more I reflect on my experience with this company, the less I want to support owners which have no regards for their customers, on top of their constant increasing prices.
I do not recommend this establishment if you care about which businesses you support.

Just a bit more maintenance and then a 5 star badminton place. New high power lights smaller are bad for the game

8 clean well maintained badminton courts, 2 golf driving simulators and one table tennis table. Very busy during winter and lots of regulars. Booking in advance is a must as the place fills quickly. Richard the owner is particular about indoor footwear to be used on the courts so change into your indoor footwear only when you are at the location. A small party room and clean washroom’s are on site. The place is in a commercial establishment and can get quite hot in summer as there is no air conditioning due to the large area. As of September 2022, price to reserve a badminton court is $25 per hour (plus tax if paying by a card).

The place has about 7 courts which can be used for badminton & pickle ball. The courts are clean, well lit though could use a bit more ventilation. My kids enjoy playing badminton indoors rather than outdoor and they enjoy using the feather shuttlecocks more than the plastic ones. Very easy to reserve courts (just call and reserve). Price is fair and they sell equipment and refreshments as well. There's washrooms available also. Being open from 10am to 10pm daily is good as you can set your schedules easily. Totally recommend the place.

We frequently visit this place to play badminton. The facility is clean and well kept. It is crowded during winter and fall but you will be able to get a court if you book in advance. The only con is the air conditioning is not well adjusted, sometimes its too hot.

Very bad place to send your kids there for classes. They have bad system in tracking the attendance. Not giving credit while your kid was there and sitting through a class after being sick. I will never send my kids there anymore.

Good place. Nominal price. Clean place. The owner (elder man) is a very humorous guy. Plus if you ask for guidance on rules or so, he helps when he is available.

An amazing place for badminton and having fun. I went to a Birthday Party and had a blast. The courts are very well maintained and the staff is also very friendly. The party room in the facility was very nice as well and I most definitely will be going here again in the future. Keep up the great work!

Overall a good spot. They are strict on following court rules. Nice people. Haven't checked out their store, so can't comment on that.

Richard and the team are the best! The courts are top notch with lots of space between each court. Rates are great and worth every penny. Richard does a great job keeping the courts super clean and well maintained. Thanks Richard and team for your great customer service!

Very welcoming. Well maintained courts that are clearly marked and surface is easy on the joints.

Good place for badminton and many number of courts gives wide space. Only problem is with lights. It blinds us sometimes

It's definitely one of the better courts I've visited during pandemic in terms of precautions and the effort made to protect people visiting.
Will only be allowed after checking vaccination passport. If you are visiting for the first time you will have to sign a waiver, which takes about 2-3 minutes.
Usual name and phone number collection occurs of people who are visiting.

I was there for badminton but the facility seem to accommodate more sports like tennis, volleyball and even a small virtual golf spot.

All the individual courts are separated with sheets for further protection.

Went back for a second time after leaving a review, Owner was appreciative of our feedback and fixed our issue. He resolved our scheduling issues and welcomed us. We are happy to come back because of this, courts are clean, private and you’ll have a good time. *Make Sure To Bring Indoor Shoes*

Do NOT book from there. The service here is horrible. I tried booking twice and the old man at the establishment misunderstood the timings. TWICE.

I book for 10 pm and he had me listed under 10 am. I confirmed multiple times and yet the mistake was made. To make things worse, their response was "I can't do anything"

Melati Mas Sport club is a great place, clean and a friendly owner (Richard) that is always welcoming and likes to joke with us. We play 3 x a week and really enjoy the facilities. I highly recommend this place.

Nice place for playing badminton in durham region. There are only 8 courts. Courts are nice but lighting is not great

Satisfied with exceptional customer service! Had a bad experience before but better experience when I gave them a second chance.

Terrible service. Terrible conditions. Give this place a pass. Old man is out of this world rude. Place is really hot. Very little ventilation. Can't imagine how bad it is in the summer.

Well maintained courts, polite staff. The rates are fairly reasonable. Be careful/aware about their shoe policies, it's to protect the courts and the enjoyment of other players so I'm not bothered by the stricter codes.

The place is barely 10 minutes way for me so I'm definitely visiting again.

On the website it says there is a limit of 10 people in the building but based on what I saw yesterday playing badminton, there was at least 20 people in the building for at least 2 hours. Are you guys following Covid protocols? Also it is very distracting and annoying to play there when you get the last court when the virtual golfers are slamming into the vinyl sheet and you hear this loud noise every time the ball slams into it. How do you expect people to play when every 5 minutes you hear a loud thunk behind you?

As paying customers, you should not be allowing the golfers to play if the last badminton court is booked, at least for the duration of the court booked times.

Extremely worst customer service. Very rude. During lockdown they are running over capacity and risking the lives of people. And the old man is extremely disrespectful. Taking government support for covid and at the same time running over capacity. I think police need to come and check out the place.
