Memory Express Computers Hamilton

Was in the market for a new gaming laptop! I frequent the gym next door to Memory Express and had noticed that their store carried a professional and very well organized atmosphere.
Desmond, one of the sales associates, greeted me and was extremely helpful in finding me the right machine. He also answered all my questions on a whim and carried a high level of professionalism and customer service!

I would like share my positive experience with Desmond and the staff at Memory Express in Hamilton (Upper James). They fielded all my questions, built and tested an amazing system within the timeframe promised. Thanks Guys!

Like other memory express stores, the staff were amazing, prices were great, and selection was good. Wish we had this chain up in Newmarket where I live, but I’d definitely recommend this store and this chain for anything tech related!

10/10 highly recommend. The employees are extremely nice and patient. Tim was super helpful and the technician (I think his name was Luis) was super nice and fixed my problem quickly. If you ever have a problem with your PC, go here and you will be well taken care of.

Fantastic service. Had a great experience with Tim and Luis (i believe that was his name). Luis was very knowledgeable and helped my wife and I update or gaming pc with new parts. He did a fabulous job putting the PC together. Could not be happier and can’t recommend Memory Express enough. We will for sure be going back.

This place is great. I am very new to the world of PC gaming or computers in general. My friend recommended I try Memory Express because thats where he got his. We came from 45 minutes away to check it out and it was definitely worth it. The worker there Desmond deserves a raise with how great he was with us. He walked me through the build of the PC and worked his magic to keep me in my budget but still deliver a top tier PC. He was also very friendly and connected with us on a personal level through our mutual intrests. 10/10 would recommend

In store is great but DO NOT use the online store. The verification process is worse than buying a car.

I first came to this store in January to buy a case for a new computer I was putting together. I have since been back numerous times to purchase other computer components. Every staff member has been friendly and the large majority have been knowledgeable. The prices are also competitive and they have a price-beating policy in the event they aren't the cheapest. Update: I continue to have great experiences with every employee I encounter.

CPU needed new thermal paste, brought my PC in and within an hour they had it finished, price was more than reasonable too! Thanks!

Amazing service. Friendly and knowledgeable. Competitive prices are equal or better than other stores. Helped me free of charge with something they easily could've charged 1 hour labor. All around amazing with no complaints.

Absolutely worst experience ever. Horrible customer service and next to no expertise.

They recommend a flexity account for a 12 month payment plan for purchasing a laptop.it asks for your account number and password for banking info. Talked to my bank they said you should never have to give a password.the store still recommends I do this. Just idiots. So disgusted with them.

Fixed my laptop with original parts from the manufacturer. The shipment took so long which is not the store's fault but the when they got the parts it only took a day or two to fix the laptop fan of my Zehyprus GX701.

I had an amazing experience coming into memory express for the first time! Tristan helped me and was very informative and his customer service was top notch. He helped me with all of my questions and he has secured a memory express client for life.

After having a horrible experiences at the local Canada computers I am glad to say that I never have to set foot in that dumpster fire ever again.will recommend ME to all.

The staff, especially Matt, go out of there way to make sure you get exactly what you need/want. They’re very knowledgeable!

Yesterday I drove from Barrie to come to this store. I had such a positive experience there that I feel I would make the horrible drive through traffic all over again to keep giving these guys my business. Their customer service went beyond being simple customer service. They showed genuine kindness and empathy in accomodating my needs. It was really appreciated and left me with a good impression that will last a very long time. Too often I go to a store that is full of mindless robots who can't adjust or adapt to different situations. It was refreshing to meet real and thoughtful people here who are focused on helping others.

I send my thanks again to all the staff who helped me out yesterday. I'll be sure to recommend you to all of my friends.

TL;DR: if youre shopping in store, go to memory express, if youre shopping online, go to canada computers instead. Memory express in store experience is one of the best ive had in hamilton retail.if your first impression is in store, it is a fantastic place to visit for any of your computer needs. Prebuilt gaming rigs for good prices, that you can see they did not cheap out on in the areas that most prebuilt companys do, the shelves are meticulously organized, the store is clean, very modern feel, and the staff at this location are very friendly and helpful.
HOWEVER, if your first impression is the memory express website, then youre in for a rough time.visuals on the page are out dated, and honestly the only way i can describe it is goofy. The search engine is unorganized, and in their products list, the priorities are way out of wack.why are floppy disc readers near the top of the list of computer components? Its just a mess.

I am living at Pickering, been there twice in one week because trying to build my intel 12th Gen pc with the RTX 3080ti, got the video card there and got the ROG Z690 motherboard+Ram there. Super nice customer service! Because I need like 4 hours trip so I always call to make sure they have in the stock. They hold the ROG Z690-A (which I can not find anywhere now) motherboard for me also they confirm with me they have the video card last week. The new store will open at Etobicote next month, i don’t think I will back that often because a long drive but if they have something in stock I definitely will come back again!

I made a mistake on our purchase, and sent an email to them that I'm willing to return the part for an exchange for the correct parts. Giovanni & Luke got back to me rightaway and was told that they have no problem exchanging the parts. Sent the wrong part rightaway (the part is still sealed and in its original packaging). After they received it, they sent the right part on the very same day!

if you want to purchase laptops/desktops for your company, go to these guys (even their online store in Edmonton they're awesome to deal with). Highly recommended!

I thought I was missing a hard drive after picking up computer. Took it back. It was loose wiring. Told me how to fix my cooling problem. Excellent service. Now my go to computer store.

Do not buy any warranties from this place.
Tried to take back a $150 keyboard and the manager was waving it around like he works for air traffic control.
Did not hold their word on 1 year warranty. Blamed me for messing up input to keyboard even though the manufacturer has had many sent back.

Decided to swear and did not replace the product with an extended 2 year warranty.keyboard was not even 6 months old

Had an awesome experience getting a custom PC built here. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and were quick to call me when the parts I was waiting on had arrived. The computer was built faster than I expected, and looks and runs wonderfully. I highly recommend them!

Genuine staff, always very helpful, you cannot tell they handle thousands of calls a day at all. Appreciate everyone there for helping me make my PC build possible!

These guys are awesome! They saved my computer. They built an all-new computer around my old hard-drive and operating system. When they finished the build (only took two days!), I brought the computer home, turned it on, and viola, it's like my old computer never left. Everything was were it was supposed to be, and everything worked.except it was 100 times quicker. Thank you Matthew for your patience as we were picking parts, and thank you to the unsung hero who built the computer in the back room. You deserve a raise, and thank you for the great work. Your cable management is unbelievably neat. Thank you.

Excellent customer service. Exchanged a recalled PSU for a different brand without issue. Employee who helped me was pleasant/very helpful as well. Will definitely be buying my pc parts here from now on!

Terrible customer service on memory express online. There was a lady who kept yelling at me for asking a simple question. She was very rude. I'm not going to order anything from now on. Terrible customer service.

Hmm, someone had said my thoughts already, but here's my point of view anyway.

My initial encounter with ME was not great, it was my father who ordered some parts and led me pick it up for him, prior the pick up I have led the store know, that the person who will pick up will not be the same person who ordered them, and they agreed that they are fine with it. Once I am in the store they changed the idea, and this was in the matter of half an hour - an hour. They asked my father to show up who was on the way to Toronto to show up, which was not possible as he had business to do. We negotiated a bunch and decided that I can pick it up, but I will be gone with a warning on my head. Which to me still, sound quite dreadful as a reason, since the account my father used was mine, and the account matches my ID.

Later I went back for a couple of motherboards and processors, none of them had trouble and they were fine to let me just drop by and buy some of them, even though it is meant to be order online & curbside pickup only.

Until recently, I put myself on a waitlist for a RTX 3070 (I'm not a miner, my work requires a card that has a lot of memory) thinking that I will never be notified, and guess what, two weeks later they called me and said I can come in and pick one up. That is some customer care. I still have no idea what my first encounter with them ended so poorly.

Basically, despite the few nicnacs, they actually value customers.

This place has great customer service. They called me to inform me of stuff that I didn't need, and told me about cheaper versions of the same product. I definitely recommend it and will be going there again.

Shopping here was an incredible experience. The laptop I received was an open box unit, priced accordingly. However, once I brought it home the battery was dysfunctional. Within 12 hours of this I had a response from them and a solution in hand. Really appreciate the level of service and care they provided me with.

This is THE company in Canada. They actually value people, compared to Canada Computers. I pre-ordered a GPU with CC, only to be told they cancelled the order (only when I inquired). Then I see them selling custom built PCs with the SAME graphics card. They are taking advantage of the pandemic, and hopefully we as consumers remember the way they treated us. As for memory express, they are making sure REAL people get cards. This location is super helpful. I was placed on a back order and received my card MUCH sooner. I was also updated regularly. Darren is really helpful. Id rather drive an hour to Hamilton and shop here than give Garbage Computers another dime

First new custom build in years for me. I like to pick the parts, but have it assembled for me. All the staff I dealt with at Mem EX (Matthew, Albert, etc.) were helpful and polite. They were super easy to deal with, helped me swap out a few parts for others, very accommodating, good prices, expert build, and everything worked as expected! Better even. This new system is a dream come true. I will return for any PC needs. I could not be happier.:)

I set up a pre-order with them for a new gpu and they never responded to me after that. I fully understand that cards are hard to come by, but they handled the situation quite horribly. They cancelled my pre-order and never responded to me when I emailed and called to make another order. I am not a fan of Canada Computers, so when mem ex came to town, i had high hopes. But they're worse. At least CC actually gets you the product or will work to get you something else

One of the only suppliers around that carries all the main goods and products for pc components. Bought from here a couple times, prices are good + covid friendly. However got laughed on two separate occasions when asking to be put on a back order list for parts. I love the feel and vibe of the store but both visits ive had have ended in the employees being indirectly rude.

This place was and is the best computer store in Hamilton! My CPU was overheating because of wiring and they took it for 10 minutes and said it was free! Never had a bad experience here and reccomend anyone who wants to buy any technical things to go here (even the pre builds were awesome) they were also really nice and professional considering the current situation.

Fantastic Customer Service. Very helpful. Their price matching/beating policies were top notch and way better than Canada Computers as well as much less onerous. I drove from Toronto just to shop there, saved money and left more than satisfied. It was well worth the time. I hope they open a store in Toronto soon.

I had a great experience here. I purchased an R7 3700x, new motherboard, and ram. They installed the CPU, cooler, and ram on the board for free, along with updating my bios and setting my ram XMP profile. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The bet experience you can ask for, the workers are so knowledgeable, I came here once before and bought a monitor for me desktop, the employee at the time went through a bunch of monitors with me to show me the differences and this time I already knew what I wanted but he was able to help me quickly, was in and out within a second.

Excellent computer shopping experience. Albert was my main man, helped me get everything I need to modernize my PC. Even helped make sure I didn't get a monitor with a dead pixel. The rig is all together and running brilliantly. Finally some good competition for Canada Computers.

I placed an order this morning for an SSD x2 and took screen shot of the order. The SSD was incorectly priced so their IT department deleted my order and the store manager claims they cant find my order yet Isent screenshots of it to the manager. Store will NOT honour pricing. Typical Bait and Click practice.

This place is next level in terms of service and prices. I was in shortly after Boxing Day to buy a monitor and the staff took it out of it's packaging to test it and show me that it worked before I took it home. My brother went in a few days later for a monitor himself and they tested it the exact same way. These people were friendly, helpful, and cared about their customers. The prices of their products are also top notch and they offer price matching on everything. I'm going to be coming here for all of my computer needs from here on out!

It was my good fortune to come across an internet ad for MemoryExpress while searching for a power supply for a computer build I was undertaking. Unfortunately, the online store had no stock, but the Hamilton store did. I live in Peterborough, which is some distance from Hamilton. Never the less because of the excellent price I decided it was worth the drive to Hamilton to purchase it. I called the store and spoke with Lucky Ogbeide and asked him to place one on hold for me. During our ensuing conversation, I told Lucky I would have preferred to order the power supply from the online store and have it delivered, but they were out of stock. He explained that I could still do it that way if I wanted to and then painstakingly guided me through the ordering process. The Hamilton store processed and shipped my order, and I received the power supply a few days later. My shopping experience with MemoryExpress's Hamilton store couldn't have been better. Lucky Ogbeide provided exceptional customer service, and I look forward to having future business dealings.

Called from alberta this morning to ask about freezing temps the guy on the phone was so honest and polite! Please check out this store and buy your computer's.

Great company. I had an issue with my order but management was great on helping me finding out the status and getting my order shipped.will order next time i need any Pc related items.

Very disheartening experience. Sales associate informed me that they cannot sell monitors without a 'damage check' which involves them removing the monitor completely from the box. The associate then proceeded to press his fingers into the edge of the monitor while handling it, teetering it on its edge. During the process of the damage check the associate either damaged or smudged the screen with his hand. He then wiped the screen with a micro fiber and said the mark was gone. Me and my friend stood there and held a light to the monitor, showing we both saw the issue on the screen. The associate then invited us not to purchase the monitor and became defensive. Needless to say I was not going to spend 500 dollars on a monitor that I just watched get pinched on the screen and scuffed. Worst first experience with Memory Express, I will not be returning.

So glad they took the old Canada Computer's spot. They're great. Picked up a Ryzen 3800x tonight and they updated the BIOS on my board for free in about 15m while I looked around, saving me the trouble of getting it done later or finding an older CPU to do it myself. The store was super clean, everyone was incredibly helpful, and the display computers were all varied and had interesting combinations of peripherals and displays. Great place to check out.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff! I was welcomed as soon as I entered the store and offered assistance in all of my needs. Jordan was able to assist and make my experience seamless. Will be coming back for more in the future!

I live in canada. I made a substantial purchase through their online store. I then received an email asking me to verify my identity by sending a photo of both sides of my credit card, a photo of my driver's licence and a photo of a utility bill just because i live more than 2 hours of one of their stores. According to my credit card provider, their is no reason to ask for that information. I dont think iti is legal to ask for it eihter. So i think they are trying to commit indentity theft.

Good place with great prices and very helpful employees. It's about time Canada Computers got some competition. They took the time to listen to my needs/complaints about RAM compatibility and even verified on the MoBo website that it would work. They also printed out a MIR for me, which was uber nice. Now I just hope they expand beyond the single Hamilton store!

Extremely impressed. Excellent prices, fabulous thorough service and verification of working hardware before leaving store. No aggressive upselling. I was offered the in store return coverage which I declined but which sounds like a good value for many customers. Will absolutely return and recommend.

I placed an online order on Cyber Monday, and after a few days without update I contacted them to find out when my order would ship. They replied and said early in the following week.

Now that such time has passed, I tried calling for an update only to discover that they've simply disabled their phone lines and will respond in email form only. So, I sent them an email this Monday which went ignored, and one yesterday with no response either.

It's frustrating not to be able to get an answer on the status of my order, especially when it's now ten days after I paid for the product and nothing has been done with it yet. It was indicated as 'in stock' at the time of my order.

UPDATE: I was able to call Hamilton directly, and they promised it would be shipped out today.

I've heard good things about the in-store staff, but my experience online has been horrible. If you're purchasing online near the holidays, don't expect fast shipping or being able to reach the staff in regards to web orders.

Picked up a few things there over the past year staff is amazing extremely helpful and they make sure you get quality parts and not shady brands they have the best prices (beats Canada computers by a bit) the computer displays they have are all custom made by the staff clean cables. Store layout is incredible as-well. Thanks for the help! I’ll be sure to return soon!

Just dropped in to the new Memory Express store on Upper James. What a great looking store. Loaded with stock, amazing selection and organized in a really attractive way. It makes shopping a lot more fun to see all of the fun ways you could build and configure your new PC. Super happy these guys actually have Ubiquiti hardware IN STORE ready for pickup. They told me they have additional units not on display in the back so if I ever need something same day that they may have it, no more waiting 2 weeks for Amazon to send it. I will be back!

First off let me start by saying, FINALLY, a Memory Express in Ontario! They have great prices, a great price beat policy they willingly honour with no hassles, and in all honesty THE most knowledgeable staff who genuinely want you to exit their doors a happy customer!

If you're unfamiliar with their brand, you owe it to yourself to make it a point to visit their lone Ontario store at least once to make your own judgment - trust me, you won't be disappointed! They're way better than, "the other guys", and have friendly and knowledgeable staff. The west no longer has this hidden gem to themselves, and I can't wait for them to start their expansion into the GTA.

A special shout-out to both Hayden and Darren! Corporate, if you're reading this you need to be aware of the amazing customer service these two provided me with. I never felt rushed, nor did I feel like a nuisance with my many questions. I'm willing to bet that the success of this location will be due to these two, as I came in their to pick-up two components for my rig, and ended up buying the remaining four components I needed to start building. The last thing I will be buying is an ultra wide monitor - hopefully, that 49" Sammy - which I've no problem taking the 45 minute drive to purchase from this store, all because of their exceptional customer service!

Great job guys, and I'll see you once I've convinced the wife that a 49" ultra-wide monitor is a need!

I purchased a laptop from this location which I ended up returning due to the laptop having coil whine issues (Asus' fault), the return process was super quick and easy and the staff were helpful on both of my visits.

Great staff, very organized, and they are competitively priced against Amazon!
Knowledgeable and informative as well. And best part; they will update a BIOS For a newer generation of CPU in-house if you buy a motherboard through them!
