Business ethics, professionalism, care, empathy and kindness very rarely found together in a business in our times!

We were late and maps showed that our arrival time would be at least 15 minutes after the closing time. We called on the way and asked if they have the part we needed in stock and if there is any chance that they would wait for us! In spite of the very inexpensive part we were going to purchase, the gentleman at the store agreed to wait for us. He took his time to serve us and even asked us to “relax” as if what he has done so far for us was not enough. He also did something very nice for us at the end, just before we left but I won’t mention it here because I don’t want every customer to expect that from them - as I don’t think that is a normal policy of the store! Every business should be run like the Mercury Shaver Centre. We tried not to waste the gentleman’s time and did everything as fast as possible, I didn’t even remember to ask his name - I apologize for that! I will be a customer for life! I never like to leave a poor review because I know the challenges businesses are facing today and we need to support our small businesses, however the customer service I received by phone today was not acceptable. I purchased a new Philips shaver and two sets of replacement blades from their website. From the first moment I used the shaver, it was not cutting properly and the resulting shave was terrible and rough. I used it a few more times and then decided to change the blades to see what happens and it made a world of difference. It tells me the blades were the problem. I've always used Philips products for over 40 years and I know if a shaver is not working right. Nothing got resolved with my phone call. I did call Philips Canada later and after explaining the issue, they will be sending me a set of replacement blades which I am very happy about. Great customer service on their part for recognizing a problem and taking care of it. I do wish Mercury would have at least tried to do the same. I will still buy products from Mercury in the future, however I feel they dropped the ball this time. Thanks.

Great service! I got a new oral b electric smart toothbrush from Amazon a few months ago since I needed a pressure sensor brush, however a few months later it stopped working. I decided to contact oral b since their products include a warranty, and I was able to ship it to mercury shaver centre for service. They quickly sent me back my faulty handle plus a brand new working one, and very quickly! Highly recommend, great service!

My LV95-Q is the best shaver I have ever had. Gives almost exactly like a razor finish. Love it. Never have to stop in to a gas station on the road to shave.

Excellent service, very fast and they even put in the heads. Took me 1/2 to get them out to clean them before I left to go there, was very happy they offered to insert. Very pleased they are in Scarborough and so close.

It was my first time here and all the staff were the friendliest and helpful people to ever work retail. It's a small family run business and Mike answered all my questions about the $300 hair clipper I bought for my husband for xmas. Ordered and received a Braun Series 9 Pro Shaver. Excellent service and price! The shipping was going to be delayed a bit and they phoned me to let me know and gave me options. Customer service like this is unfortunately rare these days. I highly recommend them!

I brought my Braun Series 9 shaver to the store from Brampton in September of 2021 as it wasn’t holding its charge. I was greeted by a very polite gentleman who made a quick diagnosis, saying it may need a new PC board and battery. A few months later the shaver was shutting off during rinsing so back to the store we go on Monday, May 2. The technician said water was somehow seeping through the housing inside the shaver. Because the previous work was under warranty, he said there would be no charge for the needed repairs or postage for mailing it to me. I thought he was a little too ambitious when he said I should get it back by Friday. He was right on, and we received it in the mail on Friday in perfect working order. From the moment we walked into the store all they wanted to do was help in any way they could. There wasn’t any discussion about what this new repair would cost or how many weeks it would take. I witnessed true customer service at its best. Thank you, Mercury Shaver Centre, for your service.

Started using an electric shaver 30 YRs ago; whenever I needed a new shaver, replacement parts, advice I would go to Mercury - was there again today. They had everything I needed; in stock; at a good price - and the folks are always pleasant & helpful.

Hans and Michael are great. What a treat to have this shop in our city. Wherever you live it’s worth the drive. They have a great selection including higher quality items, and they’re so knowledgeable and helpful - not like trying to buy something at your pharmacy or grocery store.

I recently purchased a new Braun Series 9 shaver from this company on line. When I was looking at this razor on the Braun site it gave links to several retailers. After looking at their site it looked like a very cool so I placed my order. What a great experience, excellent customer service and very fast shipping. I will definitely buy replacement blades and products from this place as they are competitively priced, but are truly in the business of shavers. My razor arrived in original packaging and was a very good deal. It’s performance is beyond my expectations for sure what a great razor. I also thought it was really nice that my invoice was include with a hand wrote thank you on the invoice. You won’t get this from the big on line retail places.

Yesterday, in the middle of a haircut, I experienced a major issue with my Andis cordless trimmer. I immediately went to Mercury Shaver Centre and spoke to Michael. I explained what the issue was and he replaced my trimmer on the spot under warranty, no questions asked. I’ve purchased replacement blades, trimmers, etc.in the past and Michael’s commitment to customer satisfaction is second to none. He treats you like a human being and ensures that your experience is always pleasant. His prices are fair and his location is incredibly convenient. As a long-term customer, I would highly recommend his store to anyone, you won’t be disappointed!

Had the motor replaced in my Braun 9295cc, after using it everyday since Nov2018, It's like a new machine and even quieter than when it was new. The service was the very best (quick turn around) and best of all the price of the repair was very economical, it's been three months now and I am still amazed everyday, of how quiet and smooth the unit still runs.

My experience is solely based on buying off their website and getting it shipped to my house.

They had the part that I needed at a reasonable price, they communicated with me during the entire process to let me know. I will be ordering from them again.

However the buying process has somethings which could be improved:

The website lists a wide range for shipping prices but when you go to checkout you can choose an exact shipping and the price is listed there. It would be better if they listed those prices on their shipping page.

If you enter your credit card through their website you have to pay for shipping and taxes, but if you do it through PayPal you don't have to pay for either (at least the shipping).

They don't mention anywhere how credit card's are processed and the website they were using for it isn't that well known, which may leave some people to pay through PayPal (which takes a higher % than the site they are using) or go somewhere else. My credit card processed without any problems, but it did leave me a bit concerned with giving them my full credit card details.

Overall, great website and shipping process with a few things that can be done to make their website better and more trustworthy.

* Mercury Shaver Centre didn't ask me to leave any sort of review but I'm doing so as a customer. I paid full price for the item that I bought. *

Terrible customer service. They never answer the phone and dont return messages that I left two days in a row. I didnt want to order from Amazon but I did and it was actually cheaper and I dont need to go pick it up. Maybe these guys went out of business due to Covid. If not they soon will be with service like that. They need to change their voice message as well. Stores have reopened.

I was very impressed with the speed and ease of the delivery. Unfortunately when I opened my order it was damaged. I contacted them and they responded by sending a new item and a postmarked box to return item. Really impressed with the customer service.

THE SERVICE is absolutely fantastic. I purchased a Panasonic shaver which has a 2 year replacement from them last February. The pump for the cleaning station stop working last week end and I called early Saturday morning expecting to get a phone number to call Panasonic or something along those line. But not only did I get reminded of the 2year warranty but they told me to simply ship my defective shaver to them and they would send me a new, but the problem was they no longer had any of the model I purchased, what did they do.they sent me the latest model and absorb the cost difference. That is above and beyond what you exepect from any store let a alone one that is over 400 km away from where you live and the purchase was done online.

Had an issue with my shaver unit that could not be resolved after several attempts. Mercury Shaver recognized this, and gave me an upgraded shaver with prompt delivery even during the Canada Post strike.

I would highly recommend this business to others.

Depending on which representative you were dealing with, there was no consistency in the good customer services that people were referring to. My first encounter with the company, I had great impression of its customer service. Unfortunately, the second encounter, I had a rude customer representative and realized how inefficient the company managed complaint. I did not return to it and I rather pay more and work with other company which have more professionalism and I did. There are always two sides to the story, future customers be warned.

I just had my 10-year-old Braun Series 7 serviced by the Mercury team. The beard trimmer was dull and finally completely failed so that it just flopped around instead of snapping open/closed as it should. I had also chipped the case at the back just below the head, and I was concerned that cleaner might get into the guts of the razor when cleaned in the charging/cleaning station.

The Mercury Shaver team had trouble getting the necessary parts, but they kept me informed and were able to restore my Series 7 to perfect condition. I can't say enough good about them! If your razor is broken, don't fear to send it to them for repair. You'll be glad you did!
