Merivale Bowling Centre

It's definitely a great place to go bowling. I went with a few friends and had a blast, though I wish they had 10 pin bowling as well. Avoid the arcade at all costs. It's a complete rip-off and is just garbage all around, honestly.

Great time there with 5 ten year olds tonight for rock n bowl. Good service and great pizza. Free refills on fountain drinks would be super though. We'll be back!

The bowling itself was great, but staff were rudely trying to rush us out early. They came in with their phone flashlights to clear our tables and sweep right under our feet over an hour before close.

Had my son’s birthday party at this location yesterday. We were very happy with the customer service… the staff was great!

4 Star rating as the space we were in to eat & have cake I think could be cleaned up a bit more chairs/carpet. Other than that we had an amazing time.

A very nostalgic feeling environment! Some of the machines are a little finicky, but that's part of the fun of 5 pin.

The bowling centre is always a blast! The staff are nice, the lanes are well maintained, and the prices are fair.

Wonderful place for a group from 2 to 300. The staff are friendly and the lanes are shiny. Fun atmosphere for all ages!

Great place for the kids, but I'm not into the disco light thing, would rather see the lane, to really experience bowling I'd recommend joining a league, improves your game and you make new friends

It’s a nice place in Ottawa for bowling 7$ per person and 3 dollars for shoes and a good price

It's fun and it's pretty fast to get a lane, however the pricing seems to be a rip off or scam.

Terrible place. The arcade is a scam. Many Machines are defective or non functional and the prize dispenser was broken so we could not redeem our tickets. The management doesn’t care or take responsibility for the arcade so you are out of luck. Total waste of time and money

Despite having alcohol prices that compete with most adult entertainment locations, the atmosphere is rather fun and enjoyable. Service in the bar and waitresses are top notch. Edit: Despite the great service from bar staff and waitresses, there's been a shortage of glasses at this establishment. So if you are ok with drinking alcoholic beverages from a plastic cup go ahead here. Changing review to 1 star until that improves.

Been there twice for bowling and had fun. I have tried couple of bowling places in ottawa and this one is my favorite. The staff are great too.

Poor excuse for costumer service and bowling alley. I recommend nobody go here unless you feel like wasting money. If I could rate it less than 1 star. I would. I Read other ratings of 1 star and they were along the same line as my complaint. POOR SERVICE. I bet the owner won’t even read the ratings.

I bowl in a league at Merivale, and while I have an excellent time and lots of fun with my league, the lanes downstairs are quite dirty. The chairs have dried coffee on them, there are things dried on the floor that are no longer identifiable. One lane has dried ketchup on the floor. It really needs a thorough cleaning. The ball return is quite slow and personal balls seem to get chipped quite easily. The restaurant is great, and food is excellently priced. I will up my rating after I see a good cleaning done.

Bowling was great. I had a good bowl, lots of fun with lots of friends! Prices is reasonable and i highly reccomend if you're looking for something to do with a group of people!

It was busy, service was not great. The game misread the score. They shut down the lanes by accident we had to ask them to turn it back on. We got food after, iit took an hour after we ordered. And the food was sandwiches and pizza. About 25% of the orders came out wrong, and they doubled other orders. They acted like we were lying when we said we didnt order a few things. The natchos charged 3$ extra for beef. I'm not joking when I say there was probably 1 tbsp of ground beef on there. More of a seasoning than a topping.

Not a good place to go for the party. No place to put clothes. If this is winter, you are sitting with clothes all around you. Very noisy, definatly not a place for kids with mental disabilities. If you lost something, nobody will help you and nobody will be responsible. Girls are friendly, but they are wearing very explicit clothes for serving kids party. Lost snow pants for my child, come back in 15 minutes, was told that somebody took your pants, sorry, we can not do very much.very upset with people, organization of this place, better to go to other places and have a fun, where you can relax and not thinking about your clothes

Exceeded expectations. Price to bowl was very reasonable, poutine was surprisingly tasty and everything including shoes were clean. Only criticism would be that music would have been nice.

Merivale bowling is a great place for any occasion. The prices could be a touch lower but its still cheaper then most places for the amount of time you can spend there lol. Love the atmospere and they play some good music. Pretty forgiving staff otherwise me and my friends should have been kicked out many times. Having a bar is one of the best perks of this place, quart of beer is only 9 bucks and you can bring it back to your lane or even get it brought to you aswell as food. Will continue to come here for a long time, highly recommend to anyone.

The owner berated and cursed at a customer wearing the shoes too close to the door. I've never seen such poor customer service.

Only one of a few 5 pin bowling alleys left in Ottawa. Clean and and the staff are nice. Bar is expensive but they seem to let people bring in their own non alcoholic drinks.

Good value, lots of lanes, staff was friendly, kids seems to really enjoy it. The building and equipment are all very old though.

Nice place, had a short wait but overall not bad. It's a pre-paid per game basis and shoe rentals are included in price so for 2 games for 2 people I ended up paying 33$. Can be a bit expensive in my opinion.

We had a nice date night here and really enjoyed ourselves. However, the cost for just a few games seemed rather high.

Lots of fun for the whole family. We paid $38 for two adults and two children 6 and under to play one game. Seemed like a lot, but I haven't been to enough bowling alleys to know what the standard rate is.

Very kid friendly. They have the bumpers setup in some lanes to keep the bowling ball on course for the pins. Big help for the kids (and adults).

Snacks, such as popcorn, are available.

Facilities were clean and clearly well-maintained.
