Amazing sandwiches and service! The food is delicious and such a big portion, a great value! The owners took the time to have a nice conversation with me and I noticed how friendly they were with every customer that came in. Definitely check this place out if you haven't yet, I recommend calling ahead and they will have the sandwich ready to go for you!

I had a sandwich from Mermaid Ave today for the first time and was blown away! Home made bread, thought out sauces and toppings, and an absolutely inspired menu. You can see (and taste) the love and dedication that has gone into the crafting of these one-step-beyond sandwiches. For real!
This will be my go-to place in Kingston from now on. Excited to try the rest of the menu! Thanks Mermaid Ave!

This place is a gem! I've had two of their sandwiches - the 'Hey Chicken' and 'Casino Queen' both fantastic. Great food and very friendly staff - highly recommend!

I love the food, I love the people. It's such a great place with really affordable options. If you're feeling disillusioned with those $20 fast food sandwiches, go to Mermaid Ave to get some fantastic eating at a great price.

Dan and Chad are some of the friendliest dudes in town, and it's as much a pleasure to chat with them as it is to eat their food.

This place is a must visit, if you’re in Kingston. The guys great you as soon as you walk in, and the soup and sandwiches are better than anything you can find in town.

This place is a rare pearl in the Ocean of Kingstonia eateries.

The location is great, the place is clean, it's urban and the energy is max-relaxed.like a day at the beach.

The variety of artistic sandwiches, baked items, soups and salads are impressive.

Most impressive are the owners Dan and Chad. They remember your name and their energy is contagious. Always a smile and a kind word.

My fav item so far is the A. M. Breakfast sandwich and "sunken treasure salad".

I cannot wait to explore more of the food here.

Also, the peach biscuits are mermaid-tastic.

Went here for breakfast while in Kingston on vacation. The atmosphere is charming and fun. The menu is full of options for most diets. Would go again! Only open weekdays so happy we were able to experience their creations.

I travel to Kingston very often and always do a pitstop at this place. The ambient is cozy. Sandwiches are amazing and prepared with love. Our favourites are their iconic pulled pork "Kingpin" and the pesto-based "At least that's what you said". Only downside is they close during weekends but I guess it's for the amazing owners who run everything to recharge ;)

Amazing creations from these guys! My wife and I always stop for a great sandwich when we visit kingston and we still have trouble decided what to get because they are all so good! Kudos and see you soon!

Well sized sandwiches on homemade bread at a fair price. They have a great variety of quality toppings in some curious yet delicious combinations. Friendly staff and warm decor top off what would just be a quick stop to eat into a welcoming lunchtime getaway.

I’d add a picture of the sandwich but it never lasts long enough for that.

Fresh bread, good portions and reasonable prices. They also have a good selection of sandwiches to choose from. Order in advance if you're planning to visit for lunch to have your food ready on time.

OMG! First time here and I had an Amazing pulled pork sandwich. Delicious sandwich, really good bread, and very reasonable prices. Mermaid is great for dine in and take away. I’ll be back.

Just visited for the first time. Kids loved picking out their own sandwiches, and staff were great at helping them choose. All five of us loved what we ordered, and we'll definitely return next time we are in town.

I have been meaning to go to this place for SO long. WOW! This place is so cute, and the employee who helped me out was super kind (I didn't get their name). I had an AWESOME breakfast sandwich called The "AM"- Egg frittata, tomato, cheese, and avocado (to replace the bacon), and it was DELISH. Their menu is very extensive and I'm sure it would appeal to any sandwich lover out there. This is the perfect place to grab a quick lunch during the work week, or to get a nice sandwich/ soup to-go for a picnic outside on a sunny day.

Some of the most amazing sandwiches I've ever had. Portion sizes are very generous, I always walk away full, and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. Service has been fantastic every time. If you're a sandwich fan, you can't go wrong visiting here.

Sandwiches were good and affordable, but would recommend calling ahead as we had to wait about 30 min to get ours. Giving only 2 stars because I found a long hair in my sandwich, maybe the guy making them should wear a hairnet or tie his hair up. Was too grossed out to finish mine.

The service is quick and very helpful and friendly! If you get a "full" sandwich you better be hungry because they are large. Its nice that they offer a "half" a sandwich or a combo!

I’ve never considered myself to be much of a foodie, but I do know a good sandwich when I see one.

But forget sight. In fact, forget everything you’ve ever seen because this sandwich is so good it will make you go blind.

The casino queen is sweet, yet salty. Filling, yet light. Delicious, yet inexpensive. It would be an injustice if I told you this sandwich was any less balanced than the universe itself.

I am not a religious man, but if God came down to earth for any reason it would be to grab a Mermaid Avenue sandwich. Seriously. Don’t get your sandwiches anywhere else.

10/10 must have.
