Merritton Community Centre

Just attended an event that was so unbelievably disorganized. Purchased 10 vip tickets for $60 each to sit with friends. We were promised pizza, wine and chips. When we got there, our table was taken. After some shuffling around we finally got our table with friends. Pizza, wine and chips were all gone. We asked for replacements and we were told we had to purchase them.

A Wonderful place and definitely Seniors and Those with Disabilities well suited for.

Had so much fun There was a great selection of different vendors I bought more than I expected.

This was the location of the NPARC St Catharines Hamfest. It was a good time to reunite with friends and make new ones.

There are many that look forward to this event every year. It is a very good location for any event.

Went to a Mom to mom sale 2 weekends ago, the main room is large, the place is kept up nicely. A bit hard to find, but not too terribly difficult

I've attended the Merritton Community Centre many times over many years for many different events and occasions and every time it is a great experience.

If you have an event you need to organize than I recommend Merritton Community Centre as it's spacious, it has large and clean restrooms and plenty of parking but fortunately it's conveniently located.

Considering that there was a wheelchair left, there was no accessible / handicapped button at the door to get in

I rented the hall for my stag and doe. Customer service is absolutely terrible. I emailed, called, left voice mails week after week with no response. The only way to get a hold of anyone is to go in person and happen to catch someone there. The night of my event went fairly smooth, other than the bartenders showing up a half hour late, and we had no way in to the hall. Through out the night I was told by more than one guest that the bar tender/ president of the club was helping himself to drinks without paying, or even asking me. At the end of the event I walked in to the "president" helping himself to the food I had ordered, again without asking my permission. After paying the bill and a short argument with president, he left the parking lot squealing his tires. He was clearly under the influence, but I guess that's normal for this club.

Although the venue is great for events, I would not recommend it because of the staff and management.
