I was planning a Children's Christmas party at work and wanted to order some platters through the deli department. The party was for approximately 50 people. The team in the deli department were most wonderful to work with. They were efficient and thorough and very accommodating. They had everything ready for our pick up time, the trays were beautifully prepared and fresh!
I will certainly send anyone to this location for any catering needs, they were a pleasure to work with!

The meat section is always pretty bare. Went two weekends in a row for ground pork and they did not have any and could not make it because of the lack of pork.

My favorite store! Love the rotisserie chickens. Y’all gotta wash your lettuce as I found a live caterpillar in some iceberg at the store.
Otherwise I love this store and i recommend.

I ordinarily receive pleasant service in this Metro store. I don't know if some of the staff are not happy but Friday morning, pleasant attitude and smiles were scarce. Why is that?

The cashier supervisor “they” seems like to make up rules on the spot. The other day, I tried to purchase $1000 home depot gift card for my dad, and “they” refused me and only sold $500, while my friend can load few thousands on his gift cards. I wonder If my race was attributed to fraudsters? It was very uncomfortable the way “they” looked at me.

I love going to metro bc of their meat and prepared food sections. Friendly and helpful staff. The produce sections have been empty lately and I have to make a second stop these days for our staples which is a bit annoying but understandable.

I like this supermarket, always been with my wife, we like the food they have and the staff is amazing

I went to the Metro in Barrhaven on Dec24. A guy was loading a rack with bags of Miss Vickie's potato chips which were sitting on the bare floor. To be clear, the bags themselves were sitting on the floor. This is intolerable.

Cashier would not ask a manager to assist in scanning a wine bottle. She said there is a sign that says she can’t scan beer and wine. The sign was hidden under grocery bags at the opposite end of counter. She informed me of this after I placed all of my items down on the belt. I asked her to get someone to assist her and she said no then recommended I collect my things and go to self checkout. Why have a cashier present that can’t do her job? Why not have senior cashiers present to assist? Poor policy and bad service. I left the bottle and won’t shop at this store again.

Please guys stop burning the bottom of the pizzas. They are delicious but the bottom is always burnt. I had a bday party for my 6 year old and none of the friends wanted to finish their pizza. When I asked them why they told me it is burnt.and I thought "ok it's a mistake maybe it won't happen again" but then a few days ago I went to buy 3 pizzas and 2 of them were "ok" but one of them was extremely burnt and I returned it before paying for it. Unacceptable.

My son and I were in the self check-out but could not figure out how to scan fruit/vegetables as there were no codes so decided to go over to the normal check-out. As we were waiting in line to put our items through a cashier, a clerk started yelling at us across the store and about 20 people in various lines stared at us. She then proceeded to come over and ordered me to come over with her and she then proceeded to yell at me some more in front of about another 10 people in the self check-out area. I indicated to her that it was a mistake on our part and she huffed and turned her back on me as she cancelled the order. It was a humiliating experience and we will not be returning to this Metro.

Clean and organized. Produce and meat are great taste, prices could be better. Great customer service.

Surprisingly expensive.
Same shopping items that I normally buy form loblaws.
Cost me double.

Make sure to ask how long those black and what looks to be bacon wrapped sausages have been in the hot case.
I had a staff member tell me he wasn't sure because I started at 1pm and they were already in the display case.
It was 6pm.
So. I abstained.:/

A nicely sized grocery store, everything you need, without walking miles of aisles. Layout a bit different than "normal", but it works if you are a do-the-outer-aisles-only kind of shopper. AirMiles reward points.

Disappointed with this stores produce. Meat is always expensive, even when it's on sale. Hate seeing French side of labels forwards all the time.

Sometimes good and sometimes bad service, and rude employees. A few times decided not to buy at this store anymore. But it has some decent selection of merchandise.

I was trying to shop on like and I got the message that the owner of teh store banned me. For what?
Trying to sign in with my email and password and do some shopping?
I think from now on I will go to a different store if you don't want my business

Great in terms of cleanliness. Wide aisles, very presentable but could do better in terms of customer service, esp the fresh fish counter.

The store itself is alright, clean isles, but the parkling lot entrance is right next to the store entrance so this busy intersect is enough of a kerfuffle to cause me to go elsewhere.

It's a great-looking store well however the prices are so high I find just food-wise it's very costly there you have to be in the higher bracket to buy food from the storm Metro doesn't think about the lower anyone who makes 35 and under it seems that they don't care it's all about the wrench not the middle-class lower end

I went in looking for Ammonia, and came out with samosas and beer. The beer and wine is nice to have in a grocery store. I'd encourage them to sell more Ontario beers though.

Good even you're missing some staples, but they don't always have everything. Great cookies and deli meat! Their veggies are ussually fresh as well.

Friendly staff. Love the bakery. They clean the belts in between customers at the cash which I really appreciate.

Nice clean store friendly staff, well stocked, got some nice steaks on special rib eye i have to admit they were hard even rare but thats a one time thing

Very nicely stocked. Great building design with lots of special. We were greeted by a security guard at the entrance making sure we used the hand sanitizer provided at the entrance. They do not offer sanitizer at the exit though.

I like this metro, I find it clean, modern and with a lot of variety. This being said, it is a metro, so price are way too high for most of the things. Staff is real nice.

I went into metro today to pick up a few items and the store absolutely wreaked of rotten fish! Terrible this should not happen, I turned around and left as it was unbearable

A very well-organized, professional operation. The Metro stores have a good range of products. They seem to have good prices, as well. The Metro shops are beautiful, bright and airy places.

Metro is one of the top most stores in Barrhavem. Fresh produce, clean store and courteous employees.
Amazing social distancing process in place.

Walked in and was immediately directed aside by security and was then interrogated and lectured by a condescending younger female employee about how to social distance and so on so forth for about 2 minutes before I was let into store. They weren't at capacity either, they just treat the customers like this when they enter. It's been almost two months of literally all media outlets shoving the do and don't of social distancing down our throats, I don't need someone younger then me pulling me aside and not politely explaining a few ground rules but barking orders like I'm a misbehaved 7 year old. Definitely will not be returning to this location even after this covid nonsense goes away. Absolutely childish.

I was very impressed with the service at this location. The gentleman at the front entrance letting people in while wiping down carts, was very kind and in great spirits for the situation at hand. He asked a few of the standard screening questions and sent me in my way.

When leaving I noticed I had forgotten something and he kindly allowed me to leave my stuff and run back in.

Metro is metro. Staff here is very friendly and competent. Nothing you can really complain about, and open daily until late for the late night hunger pang.

I have a little comment to make about this metro apart that it is clean and a solid grocery store. Would return for sure

Went into the store at 4 pm today to buy a steak for bbq. Only one open cash with long lineup! No express cash. Don't want to debit for a $9 item.
Left the store and went to Independant which is becoming my preferred shopping stop since introduction of self checkout.

Nice staff, rarely out of product, very convenient location with beer and wine at this store too. Nice atmosphere with attractive displays and useful sale items.

I went to customer service for rain check and since I had only three items to buy decided to buy from there. The girl in the customer service told us that she has no bag there so I will have to take it without the bags but she had bagged lady (white) before me. I don’t want to prove anything but didn’t like it.

Metro is a good supermarket, I like fresh vegetables and fruits here. I also feel like the fresh air here every day. Especially, it is not very crowded so that I check out and pay with one minute.

I'm not a fan unless it is an emergency. Metro is a huge footprint but feels like it has no selection. Service isn't as good as some other brands.
