Always underwhelming. It's clean and looks nice - has some more variety than a low cost grocery but nothing to impress: I find I still have to go to other grocery stores to get everything on my list. Staff is slow and generally unsmiling. Tip for you- double check the date on fresh bread - I've paid full price a few times for days old bread and been disappointed. I do appreciate the food donation bags that are easy to see and have 3 values before checkout making it easy to donate.

Big box food store but often low on inventory. Good bakery. Vegetables and fruit section could be improved.

Sells the same things as food basic but with gouged prices. Very expensive, I don't get it

Google address needs to be reviewed. The address is off by 2mins, you have to have a good sight to locate store otherwise GPS will miss guide you.

Friendly staff and very knowledgeable! Extremely clean and well stocked as well as well organized.

I shop in this store very often as my office is just opposite. It's nice store, cashiers are nice and friendly, food are of good quality. And they have nice flowers and plants also.

This location is the best place to save money. Clean and take advantage of to the 30 percent off stickers on fruit salads and meats. 100 percent recommend this location!

This is a nice metro, very bright and clean! I prefer it to my regular metro store I usually visit!

Fairly well stocked considering the recent power outage. Bakery bunker was rather empty looking and had nobody seemingly in the bakery or meat/seafood departments. Also for a place that is a higher end grocery store akin to Loblaws and Sobeys, it lacks a butcher counter which makes it seem lesser in comparison.

Way better than Sobeys on March Road. Shelves are stocked. Good selection and prices on meat. Great bakery.

Staff are extremely helpful. The meats were still being stocked, when I was shopping, and an associate was happy to fetch what I was looking for from the back stocks. Like the fresh supplies.

I bought a pizza extra large 3 topping made fresh on the spot value $20 plus at any pizza place. Best pizza ever cost 9.99$ when I get home I add extra toppings and cheese cut it up and freeze individual slices in foil 1 slice is a meal

Metro is a good store to shop at when there are deals, although they can be quite expensive. Definitely my go-to when I need chocolate milk!

Clean and well stocked metro, with a decent deli. The meat section is ok. The pork cuts are pretty good, the beef cuts are often cut way too thin. I only get beef here in roast form, when it's on sale, and cut it myself.

Like a grocery store right out of a movie. Clean and modern with wonderful prices. My shopping experience felt like a treat and not a chore! Great job!

No customer service it cost nothing to say hello to your customers pricey with a lot of food items.
And they trick a lot of their customer with the price tags you have to read very closely

It's nice and close. Doesn't have the greatest selection and certain vegetables are often completely out of stock. Most cashiers are extremely friendly. I have had a couple unpleasant experiences. I was grocery shopping several months ago when a small family 'emergency' occurred (a family member was going through a divorce and the police were involved). I had been shopping and had a nearly full grocery cart when I learned of the event, and in fairness, I was texting for about 30 minutes. I wasn't in a "hidden" corner or in anyone's way. I had taken a cake from the bakery that was on sale, and asked the girl working if I could take a photograph of the sale price, as the sale prices very rarely go through. She said yes, and I did. She - nor ANYONE else were in the photo.
A short while later, a manager came up and asked me what I was doing. I said that I was grocery shopping and was dealing with a family issue, and didn't want to put the groceries back. I asked if I wasn't supposed to do that? Or if he thought I'd done something wrong, basically, why was he asking me.
He told me that "I'd been making some of the staff uncomfortable and that I'd been taking pictures of them. "
At that point, I was angry, but I'm a very calm person and never raised my voice or used profanity etc. I immediately explained what was going on and that I shouldn't have to explain myself.
He again asked if I'd taken photos. I said "Yes, one, " and explained why.
He said the girl said I was taking photos of her. I immediately opened my folder and handed my phone to him. I showed him the photo and that there were none other. I asked to speak to the accuser. He wouldn't. I said let's go watch the security footage. He wouldn't. I hate being wrongly accused.
I asked if he'd like me to put my groceries back, he said no. To summarize, I deserved an apology and even asked that we call the police if he thinks I did anything wrong.

I don't know what the problem was. I'm a mid-30's clean cut microbiologist. I don't think I look 'sketchy. ' But that's my opinion, and there are always two sides to every story. On that note, I'm running late for church, and should end this here.

Decent store. Most staff are great. My car has been hit twice in the parking lot.

Shop here 2-3 times a week. My go to for dinner options.
Poor experience today at express checkout as I was berated over quantity of items even though just over maximum and there were no customers in any lines. Told shame on you and lucky it wasn't earlier in the day by cashier. Offered to move to another cash. Don't need that kind of hassle.
Will shop elsewhere from now on.

The store was nearly empty and still I waited a long time to be served at the salad bar and once I was served the employee argued with me over the name on the sticker for the salad. The experience was not good.

Not terribly impressed. My wife waited several minutes beside two employees that were chatting, in order to ask them a question. After they finished chatting, they just walked away, even though it was obvious she wanted to ask them something. So she returned the items in our basket to the shelves, and walked out.

Pricier than the rest of the grocery store.

They guys have everything but they guys don't carry any international food that thing i don't like it.they guys should carry some international food.

I never actually went inside the metro but my wait in the car was really something special, I saw this cute little puppy walking with its owner and it really made my day:)

A box of astro yogurt costs 2.50 in other stores whereas the same box costs 4.20. Now unless the contents of the box are completely different I don't understand why they would cost different.

A pretty nice grocery store, modern, clean, easy parking, lots of choices, fruit, veg, fresh meat, dry goods, deli counter, friendly cashier's.

I like the prepared food area but I refuse to do my regular shipping at a store that forces you to buy 2 or more items to get them on sale

Store was dead. Cashier was too lazy to put through a few bottles so sent me to another cashier.

Lower prices but much lower quality food. Fruits and vegetables often go bad within a day or so and meat quality is often sub par. Sobeys prices have gone sky high lately however.there has to be a happy medium.

Prices here seem to be better than the ones at Sobeys down the road. Worth the slightly longer drive for me

Be careful doing transactions at western union here. Make sure that everything is perfect on the transfer, don't rely on what the teller is telling you.
Horrible experience. Management is rude and unwilling to listen to customer complaints. Very rude staff. Horrible customer service.

Cashier (118) was preaching to my wife about how the vegan sausages she was purchasing (from the store she works at) were hypocritical and shouldn't exist. Absolutely rude and unacceptable, will not be coming back.

Friendly cashiers who don't rush you The fresh produce is great and not overstocked on the shelves which leads to less spoilage. Somewhat higher pricing on some items but then I'm not used to Ottawa prices as I usually shop in Arnprior or Prescott.

Very well designed grocery. It's kind of cosy! A little bit pricier than Maxi and Super C but you find things here that you wouldn't have at the other stores!
