I used to shop at Metro for the fresh food but things have really declined over the last few years. The prices have gone up and the quality has has gone down markedly. Not to mention you have to diligently watch for expired products on the shelves. The customer service remains good, but if I'm going to pay higher prices, I'd rather go to Longo's where the food is always fresh.

Nothing that’s in the flyer is available! Why advertising since your answer is always we’ll have it in the afternoon?

Terrible produce, everything I buy has fast approaching expiry dates, floors are dirty, and they open at 8am now. They do everything for margins and nothing for the customer. Worst grocery store in Newmarket by far.

I have been a regular customer for the past 2 decades. Produce, meat, fish and deli departments are always fresh with a wide selection available. There is plenty of parking and curb side pick up available. Check the weekly flyer every Thursday, as they always have great deals on products especially fruits, frozen foods and dairy products.
I just love their pizza and Roasted Chicken, as well as the panini assorted sandwiches.

Clean store, fresh produce with high end pricing. Not my usual grocery store, but it's close, so I shop here when I forgot something on my main grocery trip.

I started to shopping here 2009. I never disappointed.always very clean, very organize.very friendly staff.and great management.

Metro continues to be a slightly more expensive shopping experience though what really pushes it from 4 stars to 5 is the brand new shopping wand/gun you get when you walk in the door. It allows you to scan everything you put in your cart as you take it off the shelf, it displays your running total and once you go to self checkout, you simply scan a code on the screen with the gun and it automatically checks out all of your items.

This level of ease of access is amazing for efficiency but also for keeping an eye on your total as you shop to ensure you don't go over budget. Really eases my mind not getting any surprises at checkout. Would highly recommend shopping here for that feature alone.

She quit as this place is full of older people working careers here and they bully young high school kids.

Metro has good meat product but costs are overall high on vegetables.

Bought sirloin tip shish kebabs and they were 50 percent fat and gristle. Worst ever. The staff stocking shelves seem to consider customers to be a real nuisance and have no consideration by leaving their carts blocking aisles or pushing in front of you. Even staff ignore the arrows on the floor. Not a great place to shop.

Staffer made an error accepting a Skip order for which Metro Newmarket did not have product. Skip treated me poorly, and canceled the order instead of calling me back with a solution as promised, so I went to the store.

Staffer who made error apologized and tried to make it right, but acting manager actually forbade him!

When I pushed for any type of solution to their error from Metro, the acting manager called the actual manager, who would not authorize ANY restitution at all.

Very very disappointing and totally poor service, for something that could have been very easily fixed.

I go here often but there has been several times the fruit and vegetables are rotten or on the edge of becoming spoiled.

Our Family store, a bit expensive, but good customer service and convenient location, friendly and helpful staff!

I like this Metro. The staff at the hot table are very friendly and they have a large variety of meals to choose from.

Mostly a good spot. I go here to the pharmacy to pick up my prescriptions, so while they're being filled I go and grab whatever I need.

Clean and spacious store, generally well stocked. There are a few staff that are just.not pleasant. But other than that its fine!

The reason I'm giving three stars is due to the self check out area. It's ALWAYS am packed and hardly any room to move. They allow people with carts through to go there? That's not the best idea for physical distancing or anything. Any other store you go to has people with carts only allowed to go to the lanes. Personally I think that policy should be adopted here. Other than that its great

Clean store i have been there a few times, sorry I gave it 4 stars. But one off the cashier need more training with us the customers, and their fruits are always fresh and nice

I enjoy going to Metro because the store has a fantastic selection of items, I like the brands they carry and I always pay attention to what's on sale.it works well for me!

Always been a fan of Metro. A bit expensive but they have one of the best chocolates. They have the m&m bar that my wife loves. Also it's 24 hours.

I used to love this metro it was open 24 hours and was great for me as I worked odd hours now they're only open until 10pm and they have clear not updated that information. I will be going to other grocery stores that are much cheaper then metro. I am very dissapointed just another example of how profit comes before customer service and care.

Used to be a great place to come when you get a craving late at night. Now they're just like every other grocery store. Really sad to see it's not 24 hours anymore. Was always my go to store. Not any more. Truly upset.

Produce is top notch very fresh. The store is always clean but staff never seem to be available when you need help finding something.

Merry Christmas to me. Their garbage bin collection company ran into my bumper and ruined it, completely punctured and needs to be replaced. Manager wouldn't help AT ALL and was very rude.

Got what I needed, but feel that there's a premium for shopping at Metro over other grocery stores.and they don't price match. Seriously

We’ve been going here for many years and it is one of the nicer Metro stores. Produce is fresh, prices are reasonable, things are often on sale. They used to work 24h and now close at 11. Understandable why.but it was a cool option for midnight shopping from time to time. I only wish the sushi was cheaper, I would then buy so much more of it. Instead, I buy at centra.

Employees here are rude, moody and/or grouchy people just go somewhere else and spend your money this place isn't worth it

Nice to have a 24 hour place near by. Note that currently they are renovating so it closes at 10 pm till they are done renovating.

The majority of the night cashiers at Yonge and Mulock are incompetent the store is grungy and overpriced better off going to the 404 location

This is not the closest store to my home, but I prefer to go there just because I really enjoy shopping in Metro. Clean, organized with friendly personal. This place feels like home

When you go to Metro you don't need to go anywhere else you can purchase all groceries that you want.

First time visiting this store. First thing we noticed that the aisles seemed smaller causing congestion. Prices seemed a little higher here. Good produce selection, Store is under construction but still open.

Not cheap, but it's the only proper grocery store in town that used to be open 24 hours. Gotta go up north to fresh co in Keswick now.

Watch the meat your buying, I bought 3 packs of two pieces steak and it was all rotten and smelled like dead body.it wasn't even expired

This is a well maintained and organized store. Items are easy to find. Good variety and appeals to the eye example bakery dept products dept etc. The staff is friendly and always very helpful! Great benefit it is open 24hrs! Love that!

Clean and organized as it may be, on several occasions bought food that turned out to be spoiled once removed from packaging (before use by date)

One of the cleanest, most well stocked grocery stores in the area! Quality is fantastic for their meats and veggies.

The self-serve cashier was causing a major frustration. When somebody spends $300 + on what they could normally get from No Frills for $200. There's no room for frustrations! Metro needs to get their stuff together. A really frustrating experience left me leaving their feeling like I was overcharged.and only 18 air miles.

Hate to be that guy but. I find it a little frustrating to find that they stop serving wedges before 9 o’clock at a 24 hour grocery store?

On August 8th at 1: 18 AM I had an interaction with the night self check out person. She was extremely rude and muttered under her breath at me as she walked away from our conversation.

Over priced and moody staff. I dislike this metro. What is the difference into their food than other grocery stores? Nothing at all. Other stores sell the same stuff at a fraction of the price. Their produce isn't even that great half the time and their meat selection is meh. I really dont understand why people shop here at all.
