We have Golf Logics Golf Club Repair Centre just up the street from the Metro on Wellington Street West.

I enjoy the small size of the store. It has everything in it you need including a butcher.

Vegetables and fruits are always good too.

I find the prices far if we can say that theses days! But seriously the prices are better then some other grocery stores.

It's a nice local type big chain grocery store with a small feel.

I definitely recommend.

If I had one complaint about Metro, I would have to say the lack of choices available on certain items at this location.
For example, cereals. I love cereal!
Their choice selections for cereals is quite disappointing. But it's just not cereals, it's the same for other items as well.
It can be quite frustrating when you need a specific item, only to discover that you can't find it at your favourite grocery store, it's -30°c outside and you now have to walk to that other grocery store up the street to purchase the item you were looking for.
Aside from that, I love shopping there!

Been shopping here since we moved to the area a few months ago. It's usually alright, but I've picked up chicken here that turned out rancid at least 5 times.including the last two times I shopped there. Most recently I picked up a pack of chicken that had been packed on the 8th, best before the 11th. Upon opening the package on the 9th, it smelled very strongly of sulfur. Cooked up a little test piece and it tasted sour. That's unacceptable for presumably fresh meat; someone could become very I'll from this. I'm going to go to the Superstore now.

Great curtious staff. Very clean and organized store. Small but useful easyer to find things quickly.

Bit of a smaller grocery store so you may not find everything you would in a typically sized grocery store. Also, slightly counter-intuitive as the layout seems almost opposite of what you would find the layout to be in a typical store. Still well organized and usually stocked up.

The middle aged woman with the brown ponytail was so rude to us. In the middle of the transaction she asked "postal code? " with no preamble. We asked why, she said it was to track where everyone lived so they know where customers come from. We said we weren't comfortable sharing that information and she started giving us SO much attitude and how it's "not a big deal" so we should give it over. I was so uncomfortable and will not be coming back here if it means dealing with people like her again.

Just have a hard time looking up. Uncle Ben's stuffing helper for turkeys so I found a big small crampy not very big in there but I was satisfied with the service

Very small grocery store, rare to find specialty foods. But has all essentials, milk, bread, eggs etc etc.

I enjoy seeing her, cause I know she be nice to me.

Bad service from one of the workers who saw I was first nations person and acted weird. I m not going back there again

Omg.first time there and will definitely be the last time there.very unfriendly/ rude staff.no eye contact by two cashiers as well as being loudly told to get in line after asking a very simple question. Won't be going back there ever.yikes.

Expensive everything. 50 to 1.50 more them most other grocery stores. Small and very limited selection.

It'll do in a pinch, that's the only reason I stopped in. Prices are way higher than anywhere else, the store is very tiny and the selection is terrible. My cashier was extremely friendly, otherwise, this would be a one-star review.

I just bought an expensive package of pork ribs and they are bad and cannot return because I forgot to take the Receipt that’s my own fault but the ribs have the worst smell I have ever smelled very disappointed do not buy their ribs today

Really poor selection of foods. They're always out of stock of something. This time it was oat milk, chocolate milk, and whipping cream. They don't carry a wide variety of items and normally cheap items are over-priced ($4.99 for a bag of lentils.that's ridiculous). Couldn't even find decaf coffee.
The store is horribly laid out which leads to crowding and awkwardly having to squeeze by people. This is especially so nowadays because the cash-out line extends past the cheese, produce, and pasta aisles.
I only come here as a last resort.

The cashier's are rude especially the older ones, maybe it's because they don't get paid much & about to pass on, someone should walk in like that woman did with yt! F U Metro

This is a friendly neighborhood grocer. The staff are very helpful. The baked goods are always fresh. The meats are always fresh and butchered the same day. The prices are reasonable.

Friendly, smells like home cooking, bakery when you walk in. Small grocery store, well stocked shelves. Reasonable prices

Small and clustered. Not ideal for closerphobic individuals. Does not sell beer or wine and only stocks limited supplies.

Metro Ottawa, Wellington is an older metro that features slightly narrow isles. You might like it compared to the bigger stores 'cause the smaller stores stock smaller varieties of essential items.

An employee in the produce section had a filthy mask on, and was not covering their nose with it. I reported it on my way out of the store, and it sounded like they knew exactly who I was talking about. Very disappointed and considerably grossed out.

Nice small store located in westboro. I find the meat fresh, veg as well. Clean store, friendly staff.

Very small, not alot of grocery options. They dont carry alot of what other metros carry. However for the most part employees are helpful and friendly

Always bright and clean. And they have the best sales! Friendly staff who are so accommodating and always go above and beyond to help you out! Lovely smiles on the checkout ladies too!

This business doesn't have any of the products I want. Also it should close. The only thing it has is sad employees and krampht and very full (yet somehow devoid of valuable items) shelves.

They hand made a fresh pizza and heated it. Full of pepperoni but other toppings (mushrooms and chicken were sparse).

Everything what you need for everyday life! Especially I love fresh Salmon for a good price! I would definitely recommend it to my friends.

Clean and tidy. Friendly staff. Always smells fresh and produce and meat look good. Most expensive Metro.

This is my go-to butcher. Unlike the competition ("we just put out what Cargill sends us") these guys still cut meat! Whenever I need something specific doing up I give them a call and they always deliver.

It's decent for its size. The bakery is what I'm used to from a Metro; pretty good pastries and whatnot. I do feel however that this Metro's close proximity to Superstore does render it as a secondary option. Not a bad place to stop in though. Also features better quality produce than my own nearby Metro which was a nice surprise.

Le magasin est propre. Les prix sont trés élevés. Les préposés aux caisses ne parlent pas français, mais ceux du Basic sont bilingues. Bon dépaneur!

Clean store with very high prices. Le cashiers do not speak french but the cashiers at Food Basic are bilingual. A good corner store!

Maybe not quite as cheap as other places, or as big, but I like it. Helps that its only about 3 blocks from me, I guess. I shop the specials, and can get in and out quickly. Plus, if I miss an item, it's not a 5 minute walk back to the correct aisle. Good butcher counter too.

The isles in the store are too narrow for WALKERS and WHEELCHAIRS.
Metro recycled bag are made too fragile.
The 4 straps break after the first use.
Very bad quality bags.

Very over priced for products can get the same items at food basics which is there lower priced store owned by metro.

Small location with parking, selection not as big as larger stores, but produce is the freshest out of all the other metro locations in the city, good news if you're a vegetarian

If you like bait and switch you'll love this store! As others have mentioned, this Metro goes above and beyond to ensure you do not receive the (flyer) advertised sale price.

Excellente organisation et viande bovine de très haute qualité. Cependant, un bobo inhabituel chez Métro: pas de toilettes pour la clientèle. Vraiment dommage.

In the aftermath of the tragic bus accident, it was distressing to hear the check-out clerk speaking to a customer yesterday, and saying that the driver "killed" three people. Management, please speak to your personnel about keeping such judgmental opinions to themselves.
