Store not that bad but its in Brantford so guilty by association. One of the worst towns/cities I've ever had had the displeasure of having to live in. Only reason why i went there was because of of a given gift card.

Metro is not a place for the feint of heart or the pocket book. Just kidding. But if you are looking for the freshest of everything, look no further. I have shopped in many a supermarkets and have food go bad on me just a day later. Not just fruits, salad, chicken and salmon but other products from that unnamed supermarket has spoiled overnight even when properly stored. So if you want an excellent quality product, try Metro. Oh did I mention the staff? The most courteous and helpful staff. Kudos to all of them. And no, I do not work for them.lol

Pre-made turkey bacon club on a cheese bagel from here is THE BEST.
I waited at the cake section for 5 minutes until I went to ask someone for help.

Terrible experience from one of the staffs here. I am touring canada for a few days. I used the self checkout and that's when I realized they don't let you have plastic bags. New to me. So thought of taking the stuff in the basket itself. And bring it back in when done. As I walked this old lady at the checkout counter stopped me and said, "where are you taking the basket. You can't take it out". There were more things than I could carry in hand. Then she brings herself one of the reusable bags and goes: "This bag is cheaper than that basket" when I confronted her on what she said I was stealing a freakin basket, she started acting nice and said I am trying to help you. No she wasn't. She was trying to humiliate and make assumptions about me and my ethnicity. These ugly staff needs to be mended, taught customer service 101.
Metro never gets my business again.

The store is laid out nicely. The shelves were stocked and faced. It was nice to see that some of the prices have been reduced

Not my regular place to shop because it's sooooo very expensive. Only pop in for occasional sale.

Excellent selections, nice and clean, organized and fully stocked. Love the self check outs too.

OMG. Since I was last there before strike prices were Fairlight because it was a high end grocery store but after strike was over I could not believe how much they had changed things in store. Less variety liquor beverages and prices were so jacked up, the least amount of tellers and more self check outs were so unbelievable. The flower counter was just fall flowers. They don't have a good selection of food varieties but the distance between alleys is bigger. I won't be going there often if not again unless emergencies. But I can go to a corner store and get same product's at same price, so what does that tell you. Lol

Few things still not stocked since opening after strike. Meat is phenomenal, and reasonably priced, but mostly everything else is so expensive.

Very helpful plant lady lots of good information. Was looking for miso soup box (lmagine brand or Pacifica) use to to get it there but no Longer have it that's 3rd store striking out. The paste doesn't do it for me liked the clearer broth format. They have self checkout that does cash, love that.

My first time back after your staff was on strike and my wife gets a salad and the inside of all the tomatoes are green and slimy.brutal

This strike has proven one thing to me. I needed to go elsewhere to shop and I’m finding much better prices elsewhere. Metro has lost $250. Week business from me. Thanks for striking. Savings me money.

Store is laid out nicely, fresh produce and meats displayed well, own bakery, to go meals, little more expensive than basics, frills and FreshCo.

Didn't realize how little I need your store until your employees went on strike. Now I'm saving money and eating much better as a result! Good-bye Metro!

I'm not happy that your employee's have gone on strike. This is my general store for all my grocery needs but is a failure today because they obviously don't value their workers enough. I guess I'll go to Zehrs today for my general shopping. I suppose things could be worse and have to go to $obey$ or Wally World for general grocery needs

Metro Head Office does not take seriously what the employees have to do within their store. One employee has to do two or three jobs not just their own. Hire Retired people. At least they will show up for work!
A&P (pre- Metro) was better to shop, work for and had more employees working on the floor and to help a customer.

Construction is finished, great meat counter, nice produce and the fish counter is amazing.

Newly Renovated Store with limited produce. For a local neighbourhood store bloody expensive!
A pharmacy always see peoples waiting not with smiles? Only people Happy are walking out with Fast Food! Smells Great don't want to try till I win the Lottery!
Shame on you Metro.not competitive pricing and looking after the Community that supports you. Need to help & remember THE Low - Middle Income Families that live HERE.don't have Zillion dollar paychecks.

I am incredibly disappointed in policies that metro has put into place. Now that you don’t supply plastic bags you’re trying to force people to buy the unnecessary waste product. All because of silly rules. I was shopping today and filled a basket full of food. And while at the checkout I was asked if I would like to purchase a bag. I said no because I had forgotten my bag in the car and I have probably 100 bags already. The world does not need any more fabric waste! They advised me that I will not be removing the basket from the checkout counter. You can take grocery carts out to your car to unload them but you’re not allowed to take baskets. The reasoning is that they can go missing. If you haven’t noticed yet there’s a lot of grocery carts laying around every city. They go missing also. If you’re not going to supply bags then you need to allow people to get their groceries to their vehicles. The world costs enough as it is Grocery bills don’t need to increase by $. 50 a bag! While this may seem silly to some others will see my point.

This location completely changed the impression of metro to me. I love it, very clean and organized. Most importantly, beautiful fresh cut flower section to shop.

Poor. Staff are not helpful and look down on you if you look young, dress differently, carry a purse shaped like a back pack or are not capable of purchasing all the items you have due to difficult times. Be prepared to have someone breathe down your neck the whole time.

Asked for help and Adam kinda gestured where the cakes were and walked away. I then asked a different lady for help, she was kind and courteous but then gave the cake to adam to write on. This is supposed to be a cake for my dad's retirement party. My 6 year old could have written neater than this. Not happy with the service or quality
