Purchased a veggie tray, it looked good when purchasing, got home and opened it to then realized it was made 8 days ago and smelt horrible! Had to throw it out. Nothing they could do for me- was unfortunate because they aren’t cheap!

Bought a package of chicken breast on September 21, expiry on package said September 24 and as soon as I opened you could just smell how sour smelling it was and it was clearly expired. My husband called the store and spoke with the someone on the phone who said they could not refund but I could bring it in and they would give me a fresh pack. So I drove all the way there and they would only give me a refund in cash not an exchange even though I told them my husband spoke to someone and they mentioned they would replace it. I took the refund and then realized the chicken was no longer on sale and actually $9-10 more a pack so I believe they just didn’t want to honour the price and wanted me to have to buy a new pack at full price even though they sold expired chicken and could have got someone extremely sick.

Good store. Great selection of wine and beer. Most things are well priced. Hard to find whole wheat hot dog and hamburger buns there. Most tellers are engaging. They do push the self checkout at little to much.

Quality of some of their products is horrible. Bought milk couple days ago and it doesn't expire until the 18th and it started curdling today. Cucumbers were already bad when I bought them but they looked fine when I did. When I opened them the next day they were slimy and had gone bad.
Some prices are competitive but overall, not going here again.

I took a cake here for a friend’s birthday and it was just so so delicious. The bakery is awesome and has fresh products.

This is a very nice and well lit store. Seems to have a few items not easy to find elsewhere. The best spinach and fruit salad, as well as cinnamon buns with cream cheese icing, so good.

The best food store in sarnia. In my opinion. Helpful staff.great sausages. Lol and meat Dept.

Love the store for cleanliness, fresh products, great salads but dislike the self checkouts.

Prices are competitive and I travel 30mins to shop for the flyer deals. Weekly deals are very good specially if you are on a budget.
Meat department are freshly packed, the frozen seafoods are not expired.
The bakery offers fresh in store goods, just be mindful of the price for deals. Could be a one stop shopping for some and have a decent selection of alcoholic beverages at times on sale as well.

Metro on exmouth had a large variety of the steaks that were on sale. Went to metro at London rd first and it had limit if 2 but there was none out. I asked but was just told the limit

Hi I shop regularly at Metro London road and Exmouth. Today, Sat. Jan. 7/23 I once again went to London Rd. I love the prepared deli meals and went to the counter, -I waited and waited as the 2 employees went about there business not with other customers but interacting with themselves- I know they saw me and know who I am. I was never acknowledged or even helped- I never complain about customer service as I worked in it for years but I felt completely ignored and not important enough to be helped the one girl (hair up in a bun) has done sandwich platters for me and always messed up the order. Sorry I am a very understanding person and great customer but will never shop Metro again because of terrible customer service. Jayne Toll

The Seafood department at Metro London Road is outstanding! Always fresh and anything packaged NEVER smells fishy or is just on the edge of being unfit to eat. This is by far the best seafood dept.in Sarnia. I trust this department for the best in product and freshness - not to mention the customer service is exemplary!
