Metro Eagleson Road

I generally like metro.clean, helpful staff, competitive pricing!
Unfortunately their produce is probably the worst of all the chains. I expect not much from places like no frills but we have a new contender. Metro, I'm tired of your moldy fruits, wilting lettuce, brown edge romaine lettuce, bruised apples. You're right down the road from me but because of this I'm forced to go to Sobeys or Farmboy.do better. I'm tired of the garbage you're passing off

They have the most delicious cakes, as well as the grilled chicken, portions, and delicious baked goods

When it first opened I was impressed by the quality of the meat and the accessible butcher. That continues to this day with the meat department staff willing to custom cut some pieces and there always seems to be someone available.

Staff were fast and friendly, extremely knowledgeable about location of their products. Very very clean and well stocked!

Lovely setup here at this store. Deli, fruits and vegetables are always fresh along with the bakery. The butchers are always willing to answer your questions as well as the staff that I have met.

Great grocery store for fresh fruits, vegetables and common grocery items. Really appreciate the car chargers.

Very limited parking space, crowded store and staff isn't too helpful. I tried buying food packs for the food bank and they made me wait and I basically had to walk them about the process reminding them to put stickers on the food bags. I also found produce prices higher than in other stores.

This store is gorgeous! Their cheese counter is incredible! Store is so clean! I will be coming back for sure!

Good.clean store. Pls don't shop for ethnic vegetables, too overpriced. Good selection of basic international cuisines, nothing too fancy.

A very modern, clean, and pleasant store. Great price on turkey and a few other items for Thanksgiving dinner.

Nice that its just a grocery store not trying to be everything. Great atmosphere especially the lighting in the produce area. Someone knows what they are doing.

Good place to shop for groceries especially when they have things on sale price. I love their fresh produce and the Lindt cake from the bakery.

Every now and then I purchase some bacon, it was on sale today August 27,2022 for $3.99 a package.

How could I resist?

Cooked it up and it smelled fine, but when I tasted the first piece it was clear it was bad.

Checking the "best before date" I was shocked to find that the "best before date" was July 7th 2022.
So this product was being sold 31 days after the "best before date" had been reached. Scary!

Makes you wonder, is there not some employee in the meat department who monitors these best before dates?

This really bothers me as I trust Metro to provide good quality products that are fresh. I am not a fan of poisoning.

Otherwise a really great store!

Love this grocery store! Closest one to our home. Always clean and organized. Small enough to be manageable and big enough to have everything you need.

New and clean location. They have live lobster year round and priced cheaper than local competitors. Great selection. They also have really good take out options like BBQ chicken, fresh roast beef and smoked meat sandwiches. All very reasonably priced with sides available. Highly recommended.

My favorite grocery store in Kanata. There take out pizza is great and only $10. Deli section very nice, Bakery is nice, produce well presented etc etc

There were 2 out of 8 cashes open, with 3 or so customers waiting in line. I had about 20 items in my basket, so unfortunately went to self serve. Very long 15 minutes, with lots of issues scanning my groceries was triggering for anxiety/mental health and health. One employee overseeing self serve area was helpful when she wasn't busy with other customers so I asked to speak to a manager who said that if he opened more of the 6 unused cash aisles, the employees complained that they were bored when there was a slow time. I expressed emojii *tears running down my face*. I believe something else will need to be changed to either have more employees to have available for scanning in groceries at the cash or more customer service at the self serve cash stations. Spreading the word to my neighborhood Bridlewood. Self serve is not perfect, I would suggest bring back more cashiers!

Nice store. I like the smaller size - like ones I worked in growing up. Quiet when I went. Friendly staff. Some things not available.

Very clean and organized. Probably not that busy since it's across the street from Superstore.

Amazing fish Dept.ask for Steve, guy knows all about seafood. Tried the steelhead trout.amazing freshness.always going to metro now.and the assistant was also awesome. Lime, siracha, maple syrup, cornstarch glaze.to die for
Meat Dept also rocks. Customer service rocks. Thanks for the amazing lamb chops.

Forced me to move over to the self scan when I had a cart packed with stuff that I didn't wanna ring up myself. Weird policy.

Mary, the manager of the floral department is amazing. She has created beautiful custom arrangements for me twice, with hardly any notice at all. Her arrangements made all the difference to our special occasions. Thanks again, Mary!

Couldn't find a decent sized cantaloupe in the longest time. They had them. Actual florist works here too with nice flowers.

Not enough cashiers. Cashiers often rush you.
Good selection and pricing of produce and gf products. Selection elsewhere lacking for me.

Always clean, organized, fresh and good service. A bit pricey, but sometime you pay for convenience/experience.

Very clean, bright and well organized store. Such a welcomed addition to the neighbourhood. No insane "price matching" lineups either! Nice to have some variety nearby otherwise than the Superstore.yuck. 4 star due to no beer on site: D

Nice new store with nice staff. Prices are steep but if you watch for weekly sales it's okay.

Amazing store! The staff are incredibly helpful, friendly and professional. The store is well stocked with fantastic products and is a pleasure to shop in. I highly recommend shopping at this Metro.

Very disappointed at your meat department. I don’t mind paying more for buying groceries at Metro but your meat is awful. I bought a boneless sirloin tip roast and could not cook it because it was sabotaged by your Toronto beef processing centre. Someone jammed way too much fat in the middle and on the bottom so that you could not see it. How deceptive and disappointing. One third of the roast was fat waste. Never seen this before.

I shop here because they carry products I can't find in other stores (St-Viateur Bagels from Montreal for example). It's new, bright and well organized.
