Best sushi in Richmond hill and probably the gta. Always fresh and delicious. Authentic sushi! The staff is always friendly and have amazing customer service. Sue helped us this time and she's amazing!
Stopped by and tried one of their signature rolls (caterpillar), it was good. Service was quick and attentive, the waitress checked on me several times

Eating in is the only way to go for tempura because it does not really last the trip home without going soggy. We usually do takeout, and the fish is of excellent quality, and very good service.
MI-NE has been very consistent over the years. It serves Korean style Japanese sushi rolls - a little complicated sounding, I know.

The Kalbi beef rib appetizer or box set appears pricey but when you're served, you'll realize that it's a very high quality short beef rib, juicy, without excess fat you get with cheaper cuts. It'd delicious! You'll want to eat all the veggies the kalbi is served on as they absorb the sweet beefy flavour of these ribs.
The specialty rolls seem pricey as well, but they are large, with only a thin (1 to 2 grains thick!) layer of rice around generous fillings topped with as generous sashimi etc. Two specialty rolls can easily full 2 adults.
The regular rolls are good, albeit smaller, but also priced according - we ordered the yam tempura roll for under $10. It came out as 6 rolls with a large serving on sweet potato fries on top!
This is the OG location, I believe, a little on the small side. We had no issues getting a booth for 5 at 1pm on a Sunday but would suggest getting reservations for dinner time.
Hello all Well, what can I say about Mi Ne japanese Restaurant. Every thing about Mi Ne is QUALITY. As soon as you walk in the place looks FANTASTIC. And the service is one of the best so far. Always busy which tells me that the food is that good. Guess what? It's better then good portion sizes are bigger then the other sushi restaurant I've visited. The quality of the freshness and hand crafted works of art that was sever to us on a plate was mined blowing. Full of flavor beautiful texture and filling. Wow just wow. Thank you to all the staff for all that you do. I left Mi Ne very happy.and Cheers.
We ordered edamame, shrimp and some roles. Edamame was undercooked and the roles were so big in size that it was hard to put it in your mouth. I was expecting above average quality of food but it disappointed me.
Incredibly disappointing take out experience. Ordered California roll, spicy tuna roll, and Alaska roll. The best was probably California roll. Both the Alaska and spicy tuna had no fish- just A LOT of tempura batter and tobiko. The pieces are big but no point if there’s not any actual fish in it. I spent $40 altogether for the dinner. Won’t go back again.
Our go-to sushi restaurant for special occasions. One of my favourites! The appetizers, sushi, lunches, and dinners are all so tasty and hearty. Staff is friendly and attentive, and service is always very quick. So so good!
Went there for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised at how fast the rolls came out. Service was attentive and quick. We were seated quickly and barely had to wait for our food. (Rolls and sushi only)
We have been coming to this restaurant for over 15 years, it’s our go to sushi place. The fish is always fresh and delicious, and the service is great.
First visit with my family and really loved the experience. Friendly staff seated us in a booth right away. We started with the kanitama crab salad, shrimp tempura, vegetable tempura. Then had Aburi salmon sushi and a small Sushi and Maki platter. Our server was very attentive even though they were busy. They also had many takeout orders. Highly recommend them.
This is the only restaurant in the GTA where you bring back your food, after they gave you the wrong order, and they refuse to take it back.
The lady taking my order blamed me for the miscommunication and told me that I would have to pay again (after paying $32) to change my order. Worst customer service. I will definitely not be returning.
I used to come to MI-NE very often but after todays experience, I will not be eating here anymore.
I called in and ordered a Maki set D and upon receiving my food and getting back to work, I realized they gave me the set E. It didnt include anything I would eat so I called them right away. They were not willing to take responsibility for their simple mistake and said there is nothing they can do. The person was extremely rude and constantly said stating it was my mistake (I have been getting the same thing for years).
I spent $31 on rolls that I couldn't eat and extremely disappointed with the terrible customer service. Restaurant's should always be willing to put their customers first and always makes things right. I will not be coming here anymore.
Went to have a dinner around 9 pm. They brought our food and the bill together when we wanted to have a dine out experince. They rushed us to finish our food and leave. I used to come here often but tonight was my last visit.
Me and my 12 years daughter after a long day of work and school on Friday went to the Richmond Hill location. First of all, I’m also an immigrant and English is not my first language with regards to all languages and cultures and communities. The person who served us does not understand English. She doesn’t understand my order and I try to explain over and over! When she finally brought me the wrong food and I complained she try to force me (as I understand) to EAT whatever it was on my plate and she won’t change it! Unbelievable like a hidden camera she was asking me to put the crab and fish eggs on the side of my plate and I don’t need to eat that part and she will bring me a slice of avocado on the side! Imagine! I try to explain to her I’m a customer and don’t have to argue with me if she brought me a wrong order simply you have to apologize and change! My daughter's starter came at last when I asked to talk to the manager she refused to call her! When I find the manager finally and I start to complain about the delay and bad service she talk to her in their language and the manager left me middle of my conversation it was a horrible experience with very pricey food and low-quality service. In the end, she charged me twice! When I asked her several time after we finish everything where is her starter her excuse is KITCHEN IS BUSY! Never go back again with bad service middle-quality food and very very pricey!
Great little local spot in a small plaza. The decor was nice, lots of nice booths. Small spot but very busy for take out. The service was prompt and courteous. The tempura was crispy and hot. Had a few rolls which were great and a mixed platter of sashimi which was great. Definitely a fan and will be back next time in the area.
Their eel don is really good for the price. It comes with a combo including miso soup and salad. The only thing is that I expected them to give ice cream scoop like most Japanese restaurants do but they didn’t: (
