Great sushi, great service. The sashimi was super fresh and high quality. Staff was exceptionally gracious and served complimentary orange slices at the end of the meal. Would definitely return!
Mi Ne is my go to sushi restaurant. The service is prompt, the prices are reasonable and the fish is always great quality! They have a huge menu of cooked food and sushi. When you go, try one of their signature rolls - I'd recommend the torch rainbow dragon - that in itself is a meal! If you are in Markham and you love sushi, you need to go to Mi Ne.you won't regret it. We never do!
I was expecting “just another cheap sushi place”, but I was wrong. I ordered an under $20 sushi lunch combo and was impressed the moment the waitress brought my food to me. The fish tastes fresh as well. I strongly recommend you dine in the restaurant than taking home because the decorations and the vibe are worth it!
Incredible value, the portions are huge. If you are treating a large group, this place is going to fulfill a lot of hungry needs without emptying your wallet! On the other hand, quality, taste etc is bordering on the average.
We Love Mi-Ne Sushi and have eaten their several times pre and post Pandemic. The food there is always first rate and Mi-Ne Sushi is always one of our first choices when we go out to eat or order in for Sushi. The Pics on this review are for a Take-Out visit easier this year. You will love the care, effort and freshness of the Sushi here and I've never had or heard of a complaint in all my visits to this favoured Markham establishment.
We got their Lunch Sushi Combo D & E. Both of these combos came with 7 pieces of Nigri, Miso Soup, Salad, plus 6 pieces of Spicy Salmon Roll for Combo D, and 6 pieces of Shrimp Tempura Roll for Combo E. Their food quality is always consistent, and lunch combo prices are pretty reasonable!
I really like Mi Ne Sushi! They are a Korean run sushi restaurant so I feel like their sushi rolls are somewhat fusions. Like they are giant and I love it! I went with a friend that has quite a lot of food allergies, and they were really really helpful in telling us what each food has. Definitely will go back again.
This is by far the best sushi I’ve ever had. Very high quality. Their crab salad is so delicious. Rolls are huge and at the end you end up packing half of your food. Decoration is so cute as well!
Got sushi take out. The sushi rolls are a little bit more expensive than other sushi restaurants but it's good quality. The rolls were really big. The chicken katsu sushi rolls were different and tasty. They arranged the sushi into a beautiful platter.
The food was really delicious. Their rolls were huge and the sashimi and rice balance of sushi was also good. Tempura was fresh and cooked well. I will definitely return for some more sushi.
Actually, words are not enough to describe everything that’s going on here. You have to try the food. Their sushi it’s the best I have ever had and starting with today I have a new favorite dish from their menu: the soup with 5 kind of mushrooms and 2 pieces of gyoza (can be beef or veggies-your choice!)
If you are having cravings for sushi this is the place to be and I am pretty sure that everything else from the menu tastes as good as the sushi and the soup!
Thank you for your kindness and good food. I can actually feel that the chefs really love to cook. ️
I would give it more stars of I could! Everything was delicious. I ordered the snowman roll, which is one of their signature rolls. We shared the avo and crab salad and there aren’t words to describe how good it was, I’ve never tasted something like that. I definitely recommend it.
This is my go to spot whenever the sashimi cravings hit. Large thick cut pieces, perfectly prepared and beautifully displayed. Absolutely fresh, every, single, time. Also my other must have is their beef teriyaki, 6oz sirloin flame broiled, with a thick ton of mixed veggies at the bottom, served on a hot sizzling plate. Was so good, I forgot to take a pic. The service is amazing and attentive, made sure our tea and water was topped off.
I went to Markham, few day a go to get some food for my aunt and my self, my son had recommended Mi-Ne to me before. Best Sushi we have ever had, knowledgeable professional, polite, people and delicious Sushi, soups and food, thank you very much.
We got takeout from this location and the sushi was amazing as usual. We ordered the love boat, some hand rolls, shrimp/vegetable tempura, and the rainbow dragon roll. The fish was very fresh and the portions were quite large. The service is very friendly and the food was ready when I got there. They also gave us some oranges for dessert! Overall a great experience - definitely recommend.
The place offers a large range of delicious food. I love dining here. Employees are always very kind, pricing is affordable and the spot is always well organised.
Definitely not the best sushi around but if you are starving then go for it. The quality of sushi is extremely cheap, they use a lot of rice in their rolls and very little fish. The grab and mango roll is pretty good that's why I gave it 2 stars.
This Mi-Ne location is better than the Richmond Hill one. They serve decent sushi here as expected, but with much nicer service. Another welcomed bonus is that they handle large parties pretty well, that's speaking from personal experience and seeing several other large parties.
They honestly have the best sushi rolls I’ve ever had! I’ve tried most of them and the rainbow roll and the Orangeville roll are my favs! The fresh apple slices they put in the rolls are always so sweet and compliment the sushi as well as that flavourful sauce. The nigiri sushi are also pretty solid too. The portions are big and they’re generous with the ratio of fish in their sushi. Staff are nice and polite.
The staff was very rude. This happened on Feb 27th Saturday night. At first, we tried to call in to make an order for pickup but no one answered the phone, so we drove to the place. After we entered the store, we told the male staff/sever that we want to order for pickup. He showed a very rude attitude and said we should call in to make an order. We said we already called and no one picked up the phone, and he said "then you can call again" with very aggressive tone. We left the place and went to another sushi place nearby instead. Will never come back.
Pretty great sushi spot! The ingredients are very fresh and I love the presentation! My one and only complaint is that the edamame is not adequately salted and it’s $9! You can get 3LB bag of edamame for $7 at T&T lol! Other than the overpriced edamame (in my opinion) the sushi itself is really good.
Amazing sushi. I drive an hour one way so total of approximately 2 hours to get this sushi. This right there tells you how good is this sushi or maybe it just means I'm a crazy foodie
Really yummy and fresh food. I got the Veggie Roll Set. It's a good portion for one person - comes with miso soup and salad. We also got avocado and cucumber roll which was bigger than most other places. The vege dragon roll was sooooo good! Ask for spicy mayo:)
Really like the sushi here. Fish tasted fresh and good texture. All that for a very reasonably price as well. Service was great. FYI, they have a cute cowboy hat and will take a polaroid if you celebrate your birthday there!
Enjoyed the food and friendly service. However, our food was a little slow in coming, which may not be a bad thing as the chefs must have taken a lot of trouble to prepare each and every dish!
Parking is an issue. The place can be quite noisy. If its busy expect to have to buzz the server 5 or 6 times before you can ask them to bring some wasabi for your meal.
That being said it is a nice clean place with charming waiters. My first time. I ordered the Teryaki beef bento for lunch. It was ok. I get better ones downtown with tempura for less. The miso soup was to my liking with enoki mushrooms. Overall-a good rating. Will try sashimi next time.
I can’t believe the place has such good review. It’s an average sushi place. It was not fresh, more like leftover from last night. I don’t think waiter understood our complaint. At least I am not going back.
Very nice experience with good food and service. Six of us had the large nigiri and maki boat. Plenty of variety and flavours to satisfy everyone. No weird sashimi like raw shrimps and scallops. All in all a good experience and recommended if you are in the neighborhood.
Very high quality sushi, with creative rolls. Price is a bit high, but not too much over the standard in the area. Seating area is very warm and inviting.
I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't have high expectations as the menu showed a mix of Japanese and Korean items. However the sushi I got was great, on part with better Japanese sushi restaurants I've been to.
Service was prompt, friendly, and efficient. Price is very fair given the quality of food and service. I would definitely visit again.
Used to order takeout because it always takes 1 hour waiting time on weekends. It still takes half an hour for takeout order. Food is not cheap but good.
Came in for lunch, good variety for lunch specials (on until 3pm) quality of food was very good. Only the salmon teriyaki was overcooked. The salmon neck, and kalbi was excellent, tempura was light and not oily. The price reflects the quality. $15-22 per meal.
Arguably the best sushi in all of GTA, I've been here over 10 times at this point and only once was the sushi average, all the other times it was superb. Great place for a date, everyone speaks fluent English and is dressed very classy.
I like this place, the decor and environment was really comfortable. The menu was just too much, too many items to choose from. I didn‘t know where to start, so I ended up ordering a sushi combo. The plate was pretty, but the cutting skill for the fish was just not there. The sashimi on the rice was thin and fell off easily from the rice. However, I think the fish tasted fresh, but it was not a sushi experience I was expecting at this price point.
Sushi: very large portions and great taste, although some dishes are bland (such as the spicy salmon/tuna rolls). Besides that it is an overall great experience for a great budget.
I think this is my second review for Mi-Ne Woodbine. Nothing has changed. Which is a good thing. Great service. Clean and very sanitary (washrooms too). Amazing quality (which really counts with sushi). You got to eat here.
I checked their lunch menu and found the price high, laughingly high. I have dinner here previously and found the quality of food so-so. Standard low quality Japanese styled food ran by non-jananese Asian. For more honest and fair prices food, try the other restaurants at the same plaza. Warning: parking there was busy.
I had the salmon teriyaki lunch special but I hear the sushi and sashimi is amazing here. A waiter gave us each a cup of hot tea and a bowl of miso soup. The salmon teriyaki came with 3 wedges of orange, a small bowl of congee which came cold, a small salad that was fresh and crisp, grilled salmon on top of some vegetables and a portion of rice. Overall okay experience, waiters could have been a little more friendly and I wish the congee wasn't cold.
If you're planning to go to this restaurant, don't forget to make a reservation even for ONLY 2 PEOPLE. They were not able to give us a table even though there was plenty of free tables. Deception.
My go to sushi place when I'm in markham. Great service and fresh seafood. I love their cold soba noodles and chirashi. Their set menu and rolls are very good too
Best sushi hands down. Mi-Ne (all locations) is on another level. The level of quality is superior to any sushi restaurant I've ever been to. Maki rolls are huge and stuffed with top quality ingredients. I don't waste my time going to anywhere else when my sushi cravings hit. Only downside is they charge $1 for substitutions, which is annoying.
Honesty the service was good and fast but after ordering the tuna salmon and shrimp tempura I was violently ill for the next 24 hours I had not eaten anything prior or after and as a result I am certain I became ill as a result of the food. Order on dec 20/18
The best sushi place I've been too, it is unreal and highly recommend it! It is very filling but somehow you can't stop eating it cause it's just that good! Staff is great, is almost always busy during normal eatting hours say lunch and dinner time.
