Absolutely great experience. I had an issue with the Masonville location where a sales rep tried to blame me for a clear defect to a Tungsten ring I had purchased. I took it to the White Oaks location and right away Ryan welcomed and took care of us. He inspected the ring, found there was absolutely no other damage to the ring besides it being severed right through the shank. He just so happened to have the exact same ring and size in store and did an exchange no questions asked. I am also pretty sure Ryan is the one who helped us upgrade my wifes wedding ring a few years back, he is a very good representative of the company and a great person to deal with. Customer service was an A+ in my books and is why I will continue to shop at Michael Hill.
My partner and I have been shopping around for some time now for an engagement ring and have been feeling a little discouraged about the lack of knowledge from staff and quality of assistance from other retailers and Michael Hill locations. We met with Pearl from the White Oaks location and she was so incredibly helpful and encouraging! She understood what we wanted and made lots of helpful suggestions while also bringing us a bit out of our comfort zone in terms of ring style. She is fun, knowledgeable and very helpful. Highly recommend meeting with Pearl!
I never do any reviews ever. But this one I had to. Went to the Masonville location for a specific ring and all 3 of their sales team told me that I can’t pre order the specific ring to the desired size by resizing or making a custom ring order (the customer chat said I could when I gave them the ring details). Ended up at the white oaks locations to order it. Wow! The best customer service from ‘Jasmine’ and ‘Rafi’. Both of them are very welcoming and showed excellent customer service with good communication. They did the order in like 10mins we were there. Really happy I could order the ring.
Very disappointed with the service had my 3 rings resized and new claws put on engagement ring spent close to $1000. Year and a half later the claws need to be re-done, brought the rings back in and because they have switched the company that they have do this they won't fix mine because they weren't purchased there.
I've been shopping in this location since 2016 The whiteoaks location has amazing customer service, Pearl always go above and beyond to make customers happy. Helpful very knowledgeable and friendly. I recomend this place to friends and family. My younger brother buy an engagement ring at this location last year, again with the help of Pearl he is so impressed with the service. I have a very good experience at this location same as my family and friends products and services is amazing. Come and visit them Cant wait for them to open actually for my diamond inspection and see beautiful smiles.
If we could give them zero stars we would. This place has destroyed my promise ring my husband got me. I was sized told them my size, they not only told me I was the wrong size, they had my ring for almost 14 days. When we got it back it looked like absolute S*****. Worse place ever.
Not that this is the only store that has this problem, i tried to buy an anklet, one size fits all, why? They have different sizes for necklaces and bracelets, why not different sizes for anklets?
This is one of my grandma's favourite jewelry stores. I visit whenever I need to get her a gift. The service is usually friendly. The selection is nice and the prices don't seem too unreasonable. I find it tricky to rate jewely stores over the other because they all have the same atmosphere. The bottom line is, I like that the sales staff aren't pushy and pay attention to my budget.
BROKE MY ENGAGEMENT RING. I took my engagement ring to this store to have sized (my finger was sized there before, they were way off when sizing) it was not purchased there because it was a custom made Moonstone ring. I was ensured it would return to me in the same condition, as I reluctantly gave it to them to ship away. I was told 2 -2 1/2 weeks it would be ready. 3 weeks went by and I called and was told to call back the next day and ask, which seemed odd as it was already past the date it was to be back. I called back and was told it was broken. Was anyone planning on letting me know? Because clearly it had happened sometime in the last 3 weeks. The representative on the phone then said “I don’t know if this ring is important to you or not. ” wow! So they had to replace the absolutely stunning moonstone with another one. The stone they replaced it with is not nearly as stunning as the original, it is larger and cut differently, and does not fit the setting, so it is not symmetrical and the prongs get caught on everything, you can also hear it rattling as it does not fit properly. On top of that, I still had to pay for the resizing. I am heartbroken over this. I don’t know if there is anything that can be done to make this right, Michael Hill ruined my one and only engagement ring.
