I bought a Christmas gift for my daughter at Michael North Service Store, but when she opened it under the Christmas tree, she discovered that one of the most important accessories was missing. This was hands down the worst experience I've had in Canada.
When I went to return it, the customer service was terrible, including the manager Aaron, who was so cold and expressionless throughout.
At first they said they couldn't refund without a receipt, but later they said they could refund less money. In other words, if you buy it for 50% of the original price, you can only get a 33% refund.
When I found emails and credit card swipe records proving that I had indeed purchased from Michael, they still didn’t refund.

I have begin by confessing my illogical love for art, craft, and stationery stores - I'm a helpless devotee to places with any products that smell like paper or clay and that offer me the opportunity to expand my dabble horizons. So read this through that lens.

Michael's is amazing! Firstly, they stock just about everything. Whether your art is confectionary, painting, jewelry-making, yarn-based, or any manner of interior designing, I think it's pretty unlikely that you'd be unable to find at least some of what you're after.

Secondly, their price points are accessible - you can find pricier items and more budget versions of similar fare, and when they do have discounts, they're significant - not just a couple of dollars off.

And lastly, the store employees are friendly, patient, and helpful - something always noteworthy when people work in retail, and especially so during the holiday season. They're fielding interactions with people like me, desperately managing a budget while wanting to buy their entire stock, as well as the surly last-minute shopper and every version of client along that spectrum. And yet they will pause to scan codes, check discounts, and advise on the shininess of the finish of midge podge and the likely oxidation of metals with a saintly smile. Angels!

The only reason I don't spend more time here is that I'm not "independently wealthy".

Michael's is such a great store for all crafty people. Their collections are great and my favorite part is that their staff is ALWAYS very polite and cheerful. Keep up great work Michael's team!

Friendly and very professional services, which is what we all need at this time of year. Lots of seasonal items at reasonable prices.

Very good. Always go there for kids project and they LOVE it. Also everyone is very nice there.

Good selection of yarn. Bryan, at cash, helped me out. I would shop here again because of him. Great customer service.

But it's very hard to find help when you need it, it's like the red tshirts have all disappeared and you have to go around looking for one.

Hello / helLlo that michaels store did have what I needed and Ultimately I bought / got what I went there for, though the crafting materials I bought were far more expensively priced than I have seen them before. I am a major supporter of local arts and I myself am a master crafter.
Although the prices were higher than I expected, they were not too high to buy and I did not mind buying really good stuff / crafter materials as I did and it was generally all good. There was a really low stock of variety of different brands of what I bought and went there for and there were far too few employees available or visible. Roarr!

As cool as ever! However i feel.l always struggle when looking for help. Also and even thou prices are a little higher you always find that crafty item you need.

This location is organized and clean.i needed help in the framing department and i didn't really know what i wanted.the nice young man helped me pick out a frame.service 10/10

It is always fun to go to this location for craft supplies. Every time in this store I can find exactly what I need.

Great craft store. Whenever my kids need some activities, this is where we go. They have lots of interesting items for kids of all ages, especially the creative types.

My favorite craft store! The staff is amazing and incredibly helpful, the selections and very good and the prices are very fair. A great store for anything crafty!

Clean well stocked store at an easy to get to location. Lots of parking and other big box stores nearby. Get all our art supplies here. They are sometimes under staffed and short if cashiers which is the only reason why I'm giving 4 stars. Don't forget to look for online coupons for 30-40% off regular priced items.

Debit machine not working for tap (Tangerine Debit). Otherwise great selection and some Canada Day items on sale.

The young woman working in the framing centre was incredible! I wish I'd gotten her name. Both my partner and I were floored by her excellent customer service.

Good selection, almost everything is always in stock. Limited cashiers, so sometimes the queue to check out is long, but that's to be expected with covid.

The store layout is frustrating - there are signs at the top of alies to tell you what is in them but the are maybe a quarter of the length of a grocery and the signs print has somewhat low contrast between the white front and the gray background. The staff seem cheerful and knowledge about where to find things. The door is automatic and the alis are wide-ish. The check out is the mass line with multiple cashiers found at other big box. I was a little disappointed by the lack of samples of craft on display but at least they had stock.

Experience was decent, however I couldn't find what I was looking for as the selection was a bit limited for Cricut supplies compared to other Michaels stores

It's a decent store for arts and crafts supplies. From the hard core artist to the casual scrapbooker they probably have what you need.

Great staff - friendly & helpful. Prices are a bit steep & surprisingly, no doll making supplies & literally 1 teddy bear nose. Didn't carry several items I was looking for. But a great selection of products overall.

Thank goodness for stores like Michaels, especially in these times of lockdown and restrictions. I've never been to Michaels without finding what I wanted. There's usually a fairly decent amount of staff roaming around but I think if it was busy, they'd need more help. It's also great that they have coupons on the app, so if you plan your purchases, you can get things at a discount every time. Even my dog loves this store!

Ordered curbside pick up and was amazed at how quickly the order was processed and ready tobe picked up- same day within 2 hours! Efficient service.

Finally a store thst had what a needed/wanted. Thank you Michael's for actually carrying large pieces of Aida cloth. Now can you get a few bigger pieces? I know its pandemic time but.lol

This is a bigger location, generally pretty organized and easy to find the items your looking for. Make sure you grab the online coupon - who doesn't wanna save money?

Overpriced, their sales suck to be honest - they’re sneaky “buy one get one half off” - has to be in the same category lol

Everytime I visit Michael's, the people who work there are extremely helpful and friendly. I was once looking for something very specific and the woman (I wish I remember her name so I could give her credit) looked high and low for me. Excellent customer service!

Waiting in line to pay and the only cashier called for additional help twice and it wasn't until he had slowly cleared the line AND other customers had abandoned their purchases that someone came up.

Good deals for Christmas and halloween as well as sale items are really good as well. I go there for my business needs and it's great. The only issue I have, and why it's not 5 stars, is because it's VERY hard to find a sales associate to help you find something. I found this to be consistent in the 5 stores that I visited. Once you find them though, they're very nice and helpful. This might be an understaffing issue due to covid.

When I am looking for inspiration I shop at Michaels. Their huge selection of art and DIY supplies, their knowledgeable and creative staff as well as their own creations, have contributed to some of my most successful projects. If you are looking for creative ideas for your presentations, projects, idea generation and art supplies, Michaels is the place.

This place is very understaffed, had to go running around the entire store to get a hold of one employee to get something from the top shelf, the employee himself seemed to be very uninterested and ran my foot over with his stepping ladder, lineups are very long with there only being 1 cashier. Not the best store!

Still restocking.would like to see more Model kits, cutting mats and tools. Good inventory for other crafts like woodcarving and leather crafting etc

I can spend hours at Michaels. Strolling the aisles get the creative juices flowing and I always leave with more than I intended to purchase. Love their seasonal displays which gives me ideas on how I can spruce up my holiday decor.

Horrible company. Customer service is very low on the list. They cancelled two of my orders. It took 7 days to get back the money for the first order. The second I'm still waiting for my money. I was willing to excuse the first cancelled order, things can go wrong, but not the second time. I received an email saying I cancelled the order, which I never did, both times. They should not have a website up and running when it clearly doesn't work. Their oh well, not our problem, just order it again attitude it unbelievably arrogant. Never will I shop here again.

Good selection. Had to look for someone for help but once I found the employee hey we're very helpful and knowledgeable.

They where quick to solve my issue I needed glass for my wall unit the frame people helped cost effectively

Wide variety of paint brushes and mediums and paper love it especially with their 50% off promos every now and then totally worth it any are junkies go to place

It's not that it's a bad place.but you need to take out a loan to shop here because the prices are so high. They do offer discount coupons but 50 percent off of a single items doesn't help much.

I love visiting this location. Ample parking, friendly staff, great yarn selection that is well organized.

The store has wonderful merchandise but is over priced! The best time to purchase is to wait for the sales.

Has everything we need in regards to arts and crafts. All the staff here is great. They always have amazing deals or sales.

I love this place. It has everything you need for arts! It is not pricy but it sells the beginners' materials with very good prices and the professional ones with their actual prices. And I found it cheaper from any other store or even Amazon when it comes to paint materials.

Found exactly what I was looking for and cashing out was great. The manager noted the line building (primary cashier was on day 2) and jumped right on cash to help serve me and other customers.

Good store, clean, neat, well stocked. Prices are on shelves not items and so it's not always clear how much something is. Only had one register open with long line up of customers. I couldn't find ONE staff member at all in the entire store for assistance, only at the register.

It's clean and organized but this one cashier was not very helpful on their coupon discount so I just left everything on the counter and walked out. I was not happy.

Nice staff. Larger than other Micheals I have been to. Prices are higher than many other art stores in Mississauga, but the weekly 40% off coupon helps compensate.

Michaels is great for a one-stop shop for all art supplies with a great variety. Visited the frame shop numerous times and always found their service to be slow slow slow.

Great store for crafts, they have everything you could need from arts and crafts supplies to decorating baked goods.however their coupons and rewards are a little deceptive as there are big restrictions on items that would really be the ones that are purchased most often essentially making them almost useless aside from the odd special offers.

Love the store; i mostly shop for beads and polymer clay. They have a hige selection of lovely craft materials and tools.
