Great selection, the staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful with any questions we’ve had. We visited the store today with our 2 year old son and while we were paying a staff member let our son pick a Pokémon card that they let him keep! It was so sweet of them to notice him and truly made the trip a whole experience for him too. He even brought the card to bed for his nap so that’s toddler confirmation of approval lol. 11/10, we’ll always come back to shop here.

This is probably the best Microplay out of the 3. They have an amazing collection of Heavies. I went in there to grab KontrolFreek thumbsticks for my Joycons. They only had 1 left. It was all dusty and old so they gave me a discount and only charged me 15 plus taxes. It was much appreciated! Thanks again!

Had to exchange a defective ps5 controller; Manager proceeded to test and inferred it wasn't actually defective, this took roughly 20 minutes and his initial game choice didn't even have a function for the defective button. He exchanged it for another controller, which he pulled from another box. I asked if he was going to resell the defective controller to which he replied "That's not your problem".

This experience has left me utterly disgusted; he told me that they can't return the controllers, so instead swapped one out and gave me a "new" controller that came with damages and scuff marks, to which I only discovered once I got home.

Totally sketchy experience and employee, I bought a new controller and was given defective one. Once returned and exchanged I was given an obviously used one.

Receipt indicates exchanges within 14 days for defects, and I was made to feel that the stores inability to exchange as per their receipt was my fault.

I will NEVER shop here again and will actively tell others about my nauseating and peturbing consumer experience.

Great selection! They have a lot of rare hard to find items! Store is clean offers a wide variety of used and new items consoles retro and new. My only complaint was the high prices for Pokemon and other plushies I could get on Amazon or third party sellers for cheaper. That being said the rest of their prices are fantastic! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I like this place more than I like EB games great store for gifts for the gamer in your life or to get games or merch.

Only have been here for a midnight release. Store was clean and well organized. Staff were pleasant and well informed.

Spoke to two employees over the phone regarding a discrepancy of a game’s description (which I was interested in), on their website. After I provided constructive feedback, they interpreted my phone mannerisms as harassment and hung up the phone on me abruptly. My tone was non-threatening and I was considering purchasing the collectors version of the game (more expensive). The interesting part, now the collectors edition apparently is ‘out of stock’, minutes after this interaction transpired. Coincidence? I think the owner may need to reconsider who they hire. Very unprofessional and rude. I’m glad I didn’t step into this store. Wouldn’t recommend this shop to anyone, unless you like overly sensitive, rude, accusatory employees.

Best games store in Brantford.
Friendly staff, great prices and an excellent inventory. Has a surprising amount more beyond digital games too, from TCGs to board games, stuffies and other collectibles.

This is a great gaming store in Brantford. Staff is knowledgeable, very friendly and this spot is everything you'd expect from a gaming shop.

This store is by far the best store for all your gaming needs. The owner Chris and his staff are very helpful and friendly. Great selection on games, accessories, and collectables. I would definitely recommend dealing with this Microplay location over the big box stores. 10/10

Great people will always answer questions on phone before I show up. Great people never let you down the store is small but has alot. I go in and check there old Xbox original games.

Fair trade in pricing on the games and good in store deal. Buy 1 get 1 preplayed Xbox 1 games. Who can go wrong!

I don't play many video games in general, so purchasing games at full retail price isn't really appealing to me so I'm always looking for a better deal somewhere. I've found microplay to be a very reliable place to go to get good deals.

Pros: extremely friendly with great knowledge and customer service, super wide variety, fair prices, and it smells like pizza.

Cons: very small and crouded by shelves (but understandable for such a small store with such a large mass of inventory) which makes it difficult to search for things, can be a little dirty feeling (but definitely not gross enough to bother)

Great stock of older games. And may have stock of newer games EB Games are sold out of as well.

I love microplay. The owner is knowledgeable and very friendly. They are one of the only vintage gaming places in my town. Service is always amazing I would always recommend them over EB games

Staff is friendly without being pushy. They are willing to help you with whatever you are looking for. They also have a wide variety of products with stuff like new games, retro games, board games, figures, and collectables. My favourite place to buy games in Brantford.

My go to place for console games.buy, sell, trade both new and used, they have the best selection in town.

Great staff that actually talks to you like a real person instead of as a robot wanting to sign you up for rewards cards. Lots of good games both new and old, and the old games are properly priced. Place could use better lighting but it's still great.

My dad got 2 yellow Nintendo Switch Lites for my brother and sister and a Turquoise one for me I’ve always wanted my own Switch to play Splatoon 2 I am so happy that they had them in stock my brother and sister are also really happy. My dad said the guy working there was very helpful and nice, definitely would go back.

I’ve been to Microplay a few times now, and whether I had success or not, I always enjoy going. I don’t know if it’s the owner/manager I’ve interacted with, but he was a taller man with lighter coloured hair and today he was so kind and helpful. He really took the new store policies seriously and was so nice! I’ve been in the store before when he’s been in and he’s always chatty (in a good way!) and gives great opinions and advice. Coming to Microplay is so much fun and I can’t wait to do it more often. Thank you to the staff here for always providing me good service and for being so helpful, kind, and all around great whenever I come shop! You guys all rock!

This is my favorite video game store. Service is great, employees are nice and they have a great selection of games including retro games if you're into that kind of thing (like myself) good selection of consoles too! Even retro consoles. If you're looking for video games of any kind new or old I strongly recommend buying from microplay.

I come here for all my video game needs - and I drive about 40 mins one way to come here. Prices are extremely fair, but the real advantage is the trade ins. Microplay offers legitimately fair value for your games, usually about 2/5 to half of the retail price that they go for, if not more.

The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful - can't remember his name, but if you see a tall guy working the desk with a beard- do not be afraid to have him recommend you a game. Every time I come in, he is able to give me a detailed run-down of each game I'm currently looking at; usually recommending others based on games I have liked in the past.

This store gives you more of a personal gaming experience versus EB Games, better value for your trade ins, and prices are extremely fair.

Awesome store and super nostalgic for me! They have a wide range of video games and consoles. All the newer stuff and a decent amount of older consoles and games. They take trade ins and seem to offer better value than EB. They also have a good supply of board games, different TCGs and card sleeves. They carry Dragon Shield sleeves at a great price! The owner and staff are very friendly and will help you find what you were looking for.

This store has a good selection of games and their prices are very reasonable. The staff working here are always polite and helpful with game suggestions when your not sure what to get.

Have been stopping by since the 90s, the owner is a really nice guy and I have found lots of great old games there for a reasonable price.
