Very kind staff and very reasonable prices on games, consoles and accessories. The workers are very fun to talk to if you need recommendations or want to talk about the latest games. I highly recommend this store it's fantastic!

Microplay offers amazing customer service! Whether with my little daughter or alone, I always feel welcome. John is super professional and ready to help. The friendly vibe he brings adds to the positive atmosphere. It's a great store with a good selection of games, collectibles, and other little things. I highly recommend it.

Love how the have some LRG and other rare games. Definitely alot better customer service than any GameStop.

Sure you can get just about anything from Amazon, Bestbuy, or Walmart. But for the same or less you can get things from this awesome little store. There is so much cool stuff in this tiny store. If you're looking for a gift for a gamer I'd argue it's the best place in the region. They even have good prices on used items. Staff is always super friendly and knowledgeable while never being high pressure and trying to upsell you on everything like other stores. Times are tough for local businesses, and Jeff Bezos doesn't need to buy any more rockets. Places like Microplay Kitchener are worth the drive and your money.

Huge selection new, used, and classic games and consoles. All sorts of game culture paraphernalia like stuffies, puzzles, key chains, and board games. A great place to spend some time and money.

Polite and helpful staff. The game selection here far exceeds what eb games has to offer. Also whoever handles preorders or launch day stock levels at this location does it right and understands the needs of their customers. Keep up the great work guys!

My son was able to find - and reserve - a game that he'd been searching for, and this store was the only one that had this item. Great service, good staff. Definitely recommend.

The only thing bad I can say is there is too much way cool stuff here. You come in looking for 1 game and walk out with way more than you planned.

Best gaming store in the entire KW area. Has modern games as well as retro games. Employees are always kind and helpful.

Employees there were chill and made sure there wasn't any over capacity since it's a small video game store. Lots of selection of games, and even some rare gems if you look hard enough, willing to help out and overall atmosphere was nice. It's my go to place when I want to pick up preorder or good game deals. Highly recommend!

I've shopped here a few times in the past, but this weekend the customer service at the Kitchener location blew me away. I've been trying to support local business and these guys are amazing! I will try and buy as much video game stuff from Microplay from now on.

I went in on Sunday with a vague idea of what I wanted. The associates were very helpful and knowledgable. I ended up getting a much better item than I expected and at a lower cost! And they threw in some free goodies. My daughter was ecstatic when she saw all cool Pokemon stuff I got her.

Brought my son in to pick-up a brand new Xbox controller.he got it home around 5 pm.and before he went to bed he asked me if I could return to the store as one of the buttons was not working and could I get it exchanged. Went after work the next day and found out that they were not able to do an exchange in the store.he would have to contact Microsoft directly himself for the 3 month warranty. A bit of a pain to do all this when he opted to not buy online but buy local. Weigh your options and find out return policies before you buy.

I have been coming to this mircroplay for 20 years.this was the store my parents bought me my first Gameboy color from and is the store I now buy my nintedo switch games for.prices for titles that are rare are very fair here.

Went in earlier this week to buy Xbox one rechargeable batteries. When I arrive I go through the door and the employee rudely tells me I have to wait outside, how the heck am I suppose to know how many people are inside the store! Maybe have someone standing at the door monitoring the traffic. Than as I go in he is rude again and tells me to use hand sanitizer so I do, but than when I go ask about the batteries he reaches over without using any sanitizer. This is a two way streak, if you want me using sanitizer I expect you to follow through as well. So after that I ask about the batteries and he tells me they are legit ones. Once I get home, I find out the batteries aren’t even legit and my wife and I are struggling to take these batteries out of the controllers. My wife asks if I can return them, but of course we know what the answer is. I’ve tried to give this store a chance, but employees are just flat out rude! I’ll continue to go to EB games

I had two experience when I purchase two COntoller and headsphone and both stop working within two month, went to store for help That what they keep saying. NOTHING WE CAN DO CALL SONY. That it very poor unhelpful team, need only sale sale no service after sale.bad services

Website pricing was incorrect and in store was more money, but the associate at the counter did the right thing and gave me the price the website said because I showed him it on my phone. I really appreciate it and would shop here again just because of how the person at the counter handled it. Especially for used games alot of the time the drive can be long and if they didn't act in good faith while you were there it would have stopped me from coming back again. I would only advise you take screenshots of the website before you come in just incase.

Ordered an game controller online. When I went to pick up, door was locked and entry was limited (understandable due to covid), and was directed to call a number. Everything was great, the only thing that brings this review down 1 star was that I was not asked if there was anything else, or if I wanted to come in. Was thinking of picking up a game, but wasn't given the chance.

Don't go here. The store is a total rip, they are no longer taking anymore games that are free online but they still have them for sale on theirs shelf!? ! Thieves! Also the employees behind the counter take no interest in helping customers, always talking with each other while literally dealing with a customer. Listen, your customer service do your job and take care of them first, then go back to your sissy talk you guys have all day in there and every time since the past 3yrs. Employees have also become rude and also looking like when a customer comes in, seems like a bother for them. Usless! Use to like coming here but I will no longer be returning to this cesspool of an establishment. Hope this location shuts down so we could have something better like a new. You guys should be replaced by a small fast food joint, I'm thinking chik-fil-A. Anyone else!? ! Lol

Staff is super friendly and helpful. They are also knowledgeable on the product. Always a good selection of games for a range of different consoles.

This is the worst Microplay ever! They don't offer nearly enough of the actual trade in value as they should. And when confronted about it they ask you to pretty much take your business elsewhere. Great job guys!

One of my favourite game stores in town. Good selection of old and new games. If you're after a certain game relates plush toy, they most likely have it. They do disk resurfacing as well but at 5$ it's not really competitive when others are only charging 3$. Hopefully that changes!

Awesome little games store. There's something so nice about a store that puts the classics next to the new games. The staff was very friendly as well. I reccomend this place for all your gaming needs.

They carry a lot of games no other places in the area, that I know of, have. It is always fun to go in and look for gems both new and old.

The selection is decent but their prices on used games have gone up significantly. The customer service is also extremely poor at this location.

Will not be returning after being a long time customer of 6 yrs+ they sold me a fake mfc studio pokemon statue from china and aren't willing to refund me provide store credit or offer any sort of compensation.
Pretty disappointing and scary a place like microplay has sold knock off items to customers and aren't willing to own up to there fraudulent sale.

Though physical games are on their way out, this is a store I’ve been visiting for 15 years. The staff are always knowledgeable and are great to talk to. The owner is involved, and great to speak to. The selection of games is great, ranging back to old NES and n64 to new ps4 and X1 games.

I have been a costumer since the owner owned a store called Encore games and I could rent Japan N64 games before they were released in North America.
I have traded countless things in and have brought my children there for years because I honestly just love the store. Never have I caused a problem or been rude with anyone in this store.
The other day I politely asked a simple question about if there was a return policy on used games because I had purchased one I wasn’t really enjoying. I was asked if I still had the receipt and I kindly said yes. I was told to read it because it would answer my question and that this was not a library! The young adult with short hair was very rude.
I was only asking a question and simply could have lied and said the game wasn’t working properly but figured honesty was best.
I will not be returning to this store.

Great selection of used DS games at good prices. They also had a 2 for 1 sale on today, so even better value for the money. Staff was wonderful to deal with. Added us to a call list for used games my kid is looking for. Over all great experience.

This is my go to location for games, they have a vast and wide selection that can't be beat, not even EN games can beat their selection across all consoles. Their prices are very cheap for used games. I bought some PS3 games and PS4 games all for less the price of EB would've charged for them. I highly recommend this location for alot of retro games as well, amazing selection of retro games.

Figured it out though myself, no help to Sony (who suggested to repair it) but the Cat5 LAN cable wont work on the ps4 pro. Used a Cat6 and it worked!

Probably my favorite game store in the city. A variety of systems new and old; lots of cool merch; regular-ish sales on pre played games and very friendly and helpful staff. All in all, would recommend.

Sold me the wrong item for what I needed then charged a restocking fee to return it avoid this place

Very nice location with a great selection of both new and old games. They always have new stock coming in which keeps the store interesting. The staff are very friendly and helpful and generally have been able to answer any question I had. They will also let you trade in your used games for in store credit. They also do have a pre order system. Very positive experience all around.

Great people, great selection, great novelties. Amazing for retro and modern games, but console selection has some notable outliers.

My boyfriend and I love coming here. We sold a large amount of vintage video games and other things and they were so friendly with us and gave us good prices

Nice little store, helpful staff, I have no complaints. Had to return an item once and it went nice and smooth with no issues.

Great sales going on during my visit, but a game off the shelf they didn't actually have a copy of in their files, rather disappointing. This isnt the greatest of their locations (love the Newmarket location). Didn't stick around too long due to the small store that gets crowded very easily.

The staff is always so helpful and friendly in this store. They always seem to go the extra mile even when they are very busy. Parking is adequate. The store is always neat and tidy, making it easy to find what you are looking for. Staff is also very accommodating on the phone if you call in to look for something. Thanks for a great shopping experience.

This is a great place for all your video game needs. Bill and his staff are awesome if you’re looking for Xbox games PS3 PS4 or of in the old type of games you can find the mall here even movies Blu-ray or just regular videos you can find them here. Even even DS games you can find them here at a fair price. This the store is always clean. You can always trade in games bayous games by new games.

I just bought my PS4 from Microplay Kitchener after searching all over for the Black Friday Spider man combo! Great friendly service and super knowledgeable staff! I’ll definelty return for all my gaming needs!
