Called on a Sunday afternoon to inquire about availability for an oil change. I had the pleasure of dealing with Laarni on the phone and in person at the counter. She was fantastic, fit me in right away, very knowledgeable and a pleasure to speak with while waiting for the service to be completed. My technician Fredieric was on point getting the service done on time and pointed out a few things to keep on eye on. No pressure to have anything fixed immediately, which I have had done to me at another Midas location in the past. Great job by all, I am satisfied and will be back for future service.

I have been taking my car to Midas for a little bit now and normally the woman whom I see each time is very friendly but the last few times I have called and come in, I did not find her to be very friendly or pleasant. There was a trainee working as well and the woman was quite curt with her and not very nice which made it a little awkward and uncomfortable for me as a customer to observe. Anyway, in general I find the quality of service and expertise and knowledge to be 10/10 but based on my last experience, I am likely going to try elsewhere for my next service.

If you're a woman alone don't go here. Told me I needed my rotars replaced because they were rusted out. I trusted them and got them replaced along with my brake pads.

Went back and checked my cars repair records, they didn't need to replace the rotars at all! I had just had them replaced and the rusting could've been dealt with with a wire brush. Ended up paying more than double what I actually needed.

Ladies, keep close records on what you get done, and how often things actually need to be replaced. Mechanics, try being honest and not taking advantage of your customers.

Midas ripped me off on July 31 2010. Went to another mechanic, fixed the issue Midas messed up for half the price.

Specifically asked and noted down by the office clerk to NOT open my windows on my car because I was fixing something and it would ruin the window regulator that I just replaced with a brand new part. The communication was not passed on and the mechanic opened my windows causing the window to fall off the track and when I went to pick up my car the window was off it’s track which no one took ownership over and just gave me my car back. The window was forced up causing to bend my brand new window regulator. The mechanics apologized for their tardiness and tried to fix it which I do appreciate. This is after I paid for my service and was not given any incentive to want to return back. Even a discount on the service would have been sufficient. Thanks but no thanks MIDAS!

The service managers, Sheila specifically, are so wonderful, kind, caring, and helpful. The mechanics are very careful to explain in detail exactly what is being doing to the vehicle and then show the parts that required replacement upon pickup without my even bringing it up - I was blown away with their attention to detail.

I went to Midas for a recent oil change and winter/summer tire swap because my normal mechanic is sick. I wasn't super impressed with the experience. While the folks at Midas are friendly and quick-it was easy to get an appointment within a couple of days, and they're very nice-the service was WAY more expensive than my normal mechanic. (For comparison, he charges ~$50 for a tire swap. Midas was $180.)

I'm also annoyed by their attempts to upsell uneducated customers on unnecessary inspections and/or work. When the front desk person called to tell me that my car was ready, she listed off a huge list of things that were recommended for my vehicle-swapping out or topping up fluids, checking on my brakes, replacing parts, and on. If I weren't a handy person who knows my car well, I may have okayed them to start down this road-but given that I just had my brakes replaced, swapped out my 12V battery myself, and do regular maintenance, none of it was necessary.

Wasn’t very happy after visiting Midas for the first time. For something as simple as an everyday oil change I wouldn’t recommend this place or specifically this location.
The technician successfully broke my keychain as well as my car vent that had my phone holder attached to it. He was nice enough to mention the keychain however neglected to say anything about the broken car vent.
They neglected to change my air filter as they don’t have it at that location? Seems like a pretty basic thing to keep on hand. Also, the promo for an oil change at 39.99 for conventional oil was not offered and they charged me for synthetic without asking. Overall they completed the service at bare minimum, did not complete the full service that was requested, over charged for the requested service and tried to up-sell other services without checking if the vehicle required these extra services.

All in all, for last minute service like a basic oil change, I don’t recommend.

One of my car tires began to deflate as I was driving nearby. With no advance appointment, Midas was able to diagnose the problem quickly (a large screw embedded in the tire) and make the necessary repairs. I was back on the road in a little over an hour.

Sheila and the team at the Bathurst and Bloor with the instructions from Jim at MIDAS head office helped resolve an issue where another location (1220 Dundas in Whity. STAY AWAY) failed to fix the problem my car had, despite paying almost $2,000 and going back three times and charging me each time. The Bathurst location with Jim at head office reassured me they'd fix what their other location did wrong and wouldn't charge me, and they stuck to that, a quality that will keep me going back, great customer service, ZERO attitude and I felt my business was appreciated. I recommend them, simply for the fact that the ladies at the front desk are super nice!

The service was very professional. Shiela answered all my questions patiently and with a nice smile. They give you detailed inspection of what is wrong with the car with pics. Definitely recommend this place for any repairs related to your tires

I've used this location multiple times, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They've helped me save money and gave me the facts I need to make a good decision when my front control arms had issues.
They're also conveniently located if I need to fill my time with some good eats or shopping in the Koreatown/Annex neighborhood.

Midas has become part of the neighbourhood. Always giving honest advice in a friendly professional manner.

Starting with Sheila, who I remembered from an earlier appointment, and down to the mechanics who assisted in the repairs to my 2012 Equinox, I could not be happier.
Sheila is always cheerful, welcoming and very efficient. As the Kiwis say, 'She is no ordinary Sheila'! The mechanics explained everything to me including showing me the old parts and why they exchanged them!
Having become totally disillusioned with Canada Tire, I am so glad I returned to Midas Bathurst and Bloor.
Right down to the accurate estimates including photos, and from the great welcome and checkout, this was a refreshing experience from 'Canada's garage', which will never see me again!

In my many years bringing two vehicles to Midas, they have always been transparent, honest, accommodating, and courteous. The best auto repair shop I've come across.

If you are looking to do more than topping up the windshield washer fluid or putting air in the tires go somewhere else. Completely botched a simple mud flap installation and then tried to argue that it was done right. Terrible service, rude and aggressive!

Fabulous friendly service - walk in (great pricing) went for a headlight fix - was taken in and serviced in 5 minutes. I was driving away with my new headlight in 15 mins - pricing was as good as Mr Lube - this is business like it should be done - zero attitude and the customer feels important

[Update] - I went a second time this time for a tire replacement because they were so great the first time

I told them I was low in funds this month snd wanted the most economical solution for a ruined tire. No upsell. They offered a real lowest cost solution that would keep me safe. Shiela the front desk person was absolutely fabulous and accommodating

In addition to the tire replacement I also got them to repair a hole in another tire - a screw was embedded in the tread. Because the tire was not deeply punctured they did not charge me for the analysis and the removal of the screw. If they did charge me the $65 it would have cost to repair the puncture I would not have been the wiser.

Because of this I know these folks can be trusted not to upsell and to provide a great and fairly priced opinion of the work that needs to be done - this branch of Midas is highly recommended by me and will be my goto repair shop

They were also very respectful of my time and was able to do the work within 12 hours even though the tire was a specialty order item. They gave me updates as to exactly the times things would be done as the service progressed - in my book that is what customer service is all about

This joint is honest AF - very impressed and I’m a very picky guy when it comes to service in any establishment

Manager is very organized, calm, attentive, and has everything under rein.okay. Her mechanical knowledge is on point.

I came in for an oil change last minute. Not only were they accommodating, Sheila noticed I was distressed and was the light I needed through an unexpected dark time.

She is a helper and is going WAY above and beyond her job description simply because she is a good person.

It really does take a village and that day Sheila showed me that the village exists.

- went here for the first time ever last week for a scheduled maintenance on my 2018 Mazda. I've had lots of experience with mechanics province wide and my experience here was first class. SHEILA (front desk) was perfect in every friendly professional manner possible. The office Is clean and tidy with free Keurig coffee ;)
Service was super prompt, courteous and very well detailed. This is officially my mechanic. Way to go Midas!

These jokers tried scaring me into replacing my front end suspension stating that my car wasn't fit to drive. After taking it to a trusted mechanic I was told that it would be a fifth of the original quoted cost and that it wasn't anything urgently needing repair.

Never going to a Midas again.

From the management, service advisors, and team of friendly technicians; the highest level of honesty, best quality of work, and all in a timely fashion. Truly a great experience every visit. Highly recommend to all friends, family and fellow drivers.

I bought 4 tires on April/21. Now the front 2 tires are damaged because of their fault, they didn't do an alignment.

Yesterday I went to change my winter tire and showed to manager those tires and I asked him to use my warranty. He said I'll check might need alignment or might suspension.

After they email me and said that my suspension is damaged and to fixing that I need to pay around 2000 K.

I went to store and I said to him I'm pretty sure my suspension is good you just don't want to pay my tire or to use my warranty.
Also I said him that I'll check with different store.
Today I went to canadian tire and they couldn't find any problem but I asked them to do wheel alignment and I did it's much cheaper than midas.

I will go another store to do inspect and I'll be back to midas toask paying my 2 tires. The Manger he tried to defend his store but not honesty and not professional.
He asked me that much money without any issue. I'll posted the proof of Canadian tire and The crazy Midas estimate.

Please avoid this scam location for your good. I had a really really bad experience from the staffs when I was there to fix my tire. Initially they told me $82 for fixing my flat tire and I agreed even if it was too much and they got my sign. While I was waiting there they inspect my car and let me know that they cannot fix the tire because the nail was on the side. I said ok and when I asked them for my key they asked me to pay almost half of the price $40 just for the inspection which can be done just by bare eyes and for less than 10 minutes. I refused to pay the sum just because they did nothing. Finally after a big argument they made me pay the money just because they got my sign initially. Nobody charge me like this just for the inspection which took less than 10 minutes and the nail was seen by bare eyes. I strongly suggest everyone not to go to this location. Believe me guys they are the worst.

This service centre went out of their way to lie to my partner and I about our vehicle inspection. We actually had to call the police and MTO to enforce the motor vehicle inspection station standards and dealt with continued pressure and harassment about services and charges over things that shouldn’t have been happening.

The law is very straight forward yet they repeatedly attempted to lie and fabricate details to get themselves out of a mandated repeat service inspection.

Utterly ridiculous. We’ve been in contact with the MTO and will be doing everything we can to remove this place’s ability to rob customers with sleazy Body Shop practices.

I had maintenance, oil changed and new tires at this Midas. Everyone there was very friendly, efficient, knowledgable and professional. I would recommend this location for Car servicing needs.

Called in at 10am on a Saturday morning to inquire about a slow-leak tire repair. Appointment scheduled for 12pm to assess the tire & work. Home by 1: 30pm!

Now if that’s not excellent, quality customer service, I don’t know what is!

The entire staff was complete delight. If you have to take your car in for service, I highly recommend Midas.

I have been going to this location for years and they always help me when I am in a bind. My battery died at 4: 55 pm and once CAA gave me a boost I was able to drive it there and drop off the keys before it died again over night. Was ready for pick up this morning. Thanks guys.

I’ve never been to a Midas and never will, again!

Customer service was smug when I walked in to have a small leak in my tire repaired. I was told to bring in my vehicle after the weekend, in which I made an appointment. I wasn’t feeling a warm, welcoming attitude but decided to make the appointment since I was already there and it’s close to my house.

Upon leaving I asked the guys in the shop if they could put some air in my tire to carry me over the weekend until I brought my vehicle in. They turned to the same person lacking in customer service and she told them there would be a charge for doing so. I was shocked in disbelief that they wanted $16.99 to put a small amount of air in my tire, even though I already made an appointment to have it fixed.

Unreal! Charging me money for a bit of air to tie me over until my repair? I canceled my appointment and will never visit a Midas again in my life. I ended up spending $2 topping up my own tire and made an appointment somewhere else. Terrible customer service, and as for your front line employee…. She needs to take a lesson on friendliness and customer engagement.

This Midas is great for oil changes, tire patches and small maintenance jobs. Easy to book appointments and service is quick, professional and friendly.

Came here for a vehicle inspection & oil change. Tech wasn't great explaining issues & answering questions. He kept having to ask the guy next to him for answers. They were right in the diagnoses but couldn't trust them, so had another mechanic do the work.

One of the most honest shops you can find in town. Their service quality and customer handling is amazing. Whatever they recommend that you need, you actually need that. Never tried to over sell. In fact, even if you go for a service, they will assess first whether your car needs that service. They will not do that service unless your car needs it. How many times have you seen that you’re giving money to a shop to do something and they decline? Surely you can find cheaper shops. But it’s highly unlikely to find their service quality. Highly recommended for their honesty and service quality.

I went for oil change and battery change.service on car was done well.but too slow customer service.they made us wait for 2 hours

Been taking my car's here for over four years. No one beats them when it comes to quality of work. I always leave my car there stress free.

Called this Midas to book an oil change appointment, but was told they don't make appointments and it was "first come first serve". I drop in, and the first thing they ask is if I have an appointment.

Oil prices are $10-20 more than other shops in the area (even other Midas locations). Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Terrible customer service, overcharged to replace a battery on a 99 Civic (came to $400) and broke my window and claimed it was broken when the car got there.
The manager on the phone said they'd fix the window they broke for $130. When I asked if we could negotiate the price because it wasn't that way before I brought it in, he got very defensive and combative and claimed he recorded all my calls saying I claimed earlier that it was broken before (when I had actually mentioned I had gotten it fixed before) he mistook that as me claiming it was broken.
He also said he should charge me $100 for keeping the car overnight, saying he was doing me a favour for not charging that.
If you ask me, they're con-artists trying to pinch as much money out of their customers. Never coming back, and will definitely pass this along to friends and family.

Midas at Bloor and Bathurst is great! They have helped a lot with my Chevy express van and got me out of trouble when I was in a pinch, helping get me back on the road when in a hurry when they were really booked up. Their service is thorough and customer service is great. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Ranjeeth diagnosed the problem and (here is best part) noticed it was covered by Mazda recall so I got car moved to dealer and fix for free.

Came here to get my car checked for a clunking noise, they told me i needed my front struts replaced. They told me its gonna take 3 hours but they finished it in 2 hours! Customer service is great. Great people and great atmosphere. Straight to the point when it comes to explaining the problem and showing the old parts to assure you that they didnt rip you off.

I recently had a negative experience with someone who responded to my phone call and ask for an estimate after bringing my car in for another issue. After writing a negative review, I had a phone call from Sheila, the next business day asking how she could help change my experience and what she would do in regard to my concern. I must say, she completely turned my negative experience into a positive. Excellent communications and customer service skills. This will make me give them another try which is a very difficult thing to do once someone has had an issue. Sheila is a great representative for this company.

Great place with trustworthy mechanics. Have been coming her for over 3 yrs now for everything from oil changes, 100k tune up, brake & rotary replacements, swapping winter/summer tires etc. As mentioned in previous reviews, they'll run diagnostics/tests, then call you with the results & price of parts needing to be replaced/repaired. They're never pushy, and provide you with all the info to make an informed decision. Would highly recommend!

For an oil change they cut through the underbelly of my car. Why should a routine procedure require you to break a car to change its oil?
Inexperienced.
Never going back.
Had to replace the underbelly somewhere else.

The two brothers running the place are honest, hard working guys. They do good work and charge reasonably. I have had some communications hiccups with them in the past but I would qualify them as honest folks over all, especially knowing how running a business like this can get complicated. Been coming here for years and will continue to.

Raj, Ranjeeth and the whole team at this Midas are amazing. I’m car-illiterate, and they take the time to explain what work is being done, and there are no surprises. They tell you what needs to be done right away and what can wait. I highly recommend them.

Got my tires swapped and oil/filter changed here. Just moved in the area i was looking for a trust worthy mechanic shop. I gave these guys a try today. The service was great. Honest and friendly staffs. Very convenient location. Easy to drop off the car and hub on the street car.

I’ve always been able to sneak in same day for an oil change. The staff is friendly and I’ve never felt like they’ve tried to push extra services on me. They will do a quick inspection and give you a heads up on things like tires and stuff but no one has ever been pushy with me to buy anything I wasn’t already there for.

They put a new battery in my key and reattached a body piece in only a few minutes.didn't even have to leave the car! Rajeev is great.

The worst customer service ever. I asked for both head replacement and they changed just one side. Staff barely speaks english.

Came to this location due to the reviews on Yelp. I was happy with the service.

They were honest and fair with the prices. They gave me a few suggestions of things I could do and how much they would cost, but absolutely no pressure to do anything when I said no thanks.

Both times I went there the person at the cash desk was incredibly friendly and chatted with me for a bit.

The first time I went I dropped my car off in the morning and was going to wait for them to do the work. They had a few other appointments ahead of me so I was going to go for breakfast and do some shopping on Bloor to pass the time. It turns out that he had a cancellation or two and knew I was in the area so worked on my car right away as he knew I was in the area. I thought that was really nice of them!

The only complaints:
-You usually have to book a few days ahead (but I guess that may be normal in Toronto)
-They suggest you drop your car off in the morning and come back to get it later. I usually need my car for work as I drive all over the place, so that can be a bit inconvenient

I took my car in to have a diagnostic report done due to a sound coming from the passenger side engine. The report was completed and they stated the AC belt would need to be replaced in about 6 months. When I asked if this was a “911” issue or that it could leave me stranded, I was assured it was not and that I’d just have to continue hearing the noise.less than 2 weeks later I was stranded on the road with my engine smoking and immediately needed the belt replaced. Scary situation and my recommendation to this Midas is to not provide opinions that can mislead your clients and potentially harm them. I won’t be returning to Midas for any of my automotive needs, nor will I be recommending their services to anyone.

I had my car serviced here and they were amazing. Well organized and professional very well maintained shop and pricewise they are not too expensive and not too cheap, you get what you pay for and I do recommend you to go to this shop to get your car serviced.

Came in to do a brake inspection as I heard a grinding noise. I was in a bit of a hurry and needed the car back in 3 hours. They were very accommodative and took my car in. They took me in and showed me what was going on. Replaced my brakes just in time and got me back on the road. I was impressed. Great service.

Great people, friendly staff and very honest shop. They dont try to oversell. Only tells you what needs to be done and gets it done right away.

Rip off. Went there for a muffler quoted a minimum of $550 that could run up to $880. For just a regular muffler. No Thanks. Took my car elsewhere and the put told me all I needed was a muffler for $250+ tax. Do yourself a favour and save a few hundred bucks and go elsewhere.

The guys at the dealership told me i needed new rear brakes. I took my car for a second opinion here at this Midas. Turns out that i still have 50% left. Never going back to the dealer. Thank you guys for your honesty and helping me out with the inspection. Highly recommended!

Sheila and her mechanics always exceeds my expectation when it comes to servicing my car. I regularly come here to do my oil changes. Clear reporting on what's need attention rite away and what can wait helps a lot in making a repair decision.

I called for an estimate. It was explained that they will not give an estimate for exhaust problem over the phone. I opened my mouth the explain outcome of the last inspection and ask for a range and was hung up on. It was extremely rude.

Bad experience. Just did a oil change and snow tire installation. The initial quote is $220 when I dropped my car while I got a call a hour after saying that their reception miss quoted and the price jumped over $380 with all kind of reasons. Need two litre more engine oil, need to add filter charge missed and run-flat snow tires more harder to change and need more money. It is my fault not to immediately tell them stop the work and take back my car to somewhere else. That is how the shop scam customer without given the proper quote over the phone or when you drop your car in the first place. Missed-quote is the shop fault and actually the corrected quote is much higher than competitors ($50/Snow tire change vs Costco $11/tire or BMW authentic dealer $35/tire). Lesson learned, say no and take your car somewhere else if they call you over the phone to adjust the quote. It is how the shop rob you in the case you don’t have enough time to think and get multiple quotes to compare. You don’t want to waste your time while you will waste your money big time. Bad, Bad, Bad business practices. Never go Midas again!
