Midas Auto Service and Tires

Went in for a slow leak in one tire.
I was told 30 min, 2hrs later
My air in all my tires are different.
Told that’s what the truck said.
I told them I have custom tires not stock.

Would not honor the sale price that is available at other Midas locations for an oil change. I left out of principal.

The customer service was awesome from start to finish. Had my snow tires put on today. While I waited in the coffee area, I got to witness their professionalism and honest effort to go above and beyond to make sure their customers were happy.

All I wanted was to change a light bulb on my break light and they wanted to charge me over $155 for a diagnostic which I don't need. Just change the light bulb it's very simple. Also went in for an oil change and it took an hour because it's their policy to check the whole car which I didn't want either and said they have to.this place is a joke that doesn't listen to it's customers and what they want done. They have ridiculous policies. I'm never going back

First time there. When you charge $30 just to look at my exhaust, OH, but we refund IF you get the work done? Turned around and walked out and never be back and will never recommend.

I had 2 mufllers installed on same car, 4 hours of waiting what a bucher job. They discounted 176.00 dollers out 760.00 for the bucher job. I would not go back even to change a light bulb. Vary dissapointed, and this was the vary first time i viset them. SORY GUYES THIS IS VARY BAD FOT BUSINESS.

I came down from Manitoulin to very sit family in Collingwood. Headlight and tail light were out. Midas fit me in despite being busy with a full days schedule. The whole experience was positive and totally professional. Thank you!

Just awesome. Miles above other towns Midas shops that I’ve been to. Kind staff, working hard and overtime to get things done (not to praise overworking! Just appreciative, thank you). Their very comprehensive results are texted to you in an easy to understand format, everything I wasn’t sure about was explained to me. Clean, easy to get to, just all around *chefs kiss*

I booked 2 appointments at this location. One was at 9 a.m. For my truck's seasonal tire change with balance. Note.wheels were already on rims. It took these guys 4 hours to do my tire swap. I had to cancel the other appointment. The worse part is no shuttle service.

They are quick and efficient and did an inspection to ensure my coolant was stopped up as well.

Amazing fast service. They were able to get my tires mounted to my rims in a timely manor and for a great price!

Really great service. Attention to all details to make sure it is done right. Pointed out my previous provider had convinced me to use inferior lug nuts when the stock ones were fine. Reasonably priced and nice office area to wait. Thanks!

Had a very well informed oil change. Suggestions of oil’s were given, did a full inspection and politely inquired about other services. Great service. The only suggestion I would make is could you please change the sticker to the recommended oil change mileage instead of date of oil change. Thanks again

As for the under coating suggestion, I get the vehicle rustproofed every year at Louies car care in Collingwood, but thanks for the suggestion

Very pleased with Midas, I have used them now for a few years…they are very thorough and efficient…I would recommend them

I had Rhea help me when I was there for an assessment done on the suv. She was so helpful and Leos was as well. They showed me the suv and took me around it to discuss what needed attention. Great customer service and very well at explaining things.

Went in for an oil change, came out with my brake light on and a hole in my brake line. Coincidence maybe, just have a bad feeling about it all.
Service people were very polite, but it ended up being a negative experience in the long run. 2013 Hundai Accent.

Again I must remark that this shop consistently gives great service. Both the owner and his staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. The work was professionally done, and the price was very competitive. They get my recommendation.

Had a problem with my muffler. Another great experience with the people at Midas Collingwood. The lady in the front was professional, friendly and a great communicator. She kept me informed of the progress. The mechanic show me the problem with my muffler and provided viable solutions. Fair price, delivered when promised!

I have a lot of gear in the back of my Dodge Grand Caravan, which makes the back end sag, and while driving at night, my low beams blind oncoming traffic. The Midas Mechanics did a great job installing an air lift kit that allows me to raise the back end by inflating the lift bladders with more air. Thanks Midas for doing such a professional looking install. I can now drive around at night without blinding everyone.

Highly recommend! Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. I had made an appointment to have my snow tires put on only to find out they were very old and they quickly found me replacements and back on the road the same day.

They were excellent- prompt at looking at my damaged tire and honest that it wasn’t repairable, thank you.

I was quoted 2 hours for a safety inspection. Dropped my car off and when I got back 2 hours later my car hadn't moved. The receptionist didn't care at all. I asked for my keys and she did not try to help the situation or get an answer as to why my car wasn't even looked at in 2 hours. I will Never go back to a Midas again. Thanks for nothing.

Midas was fast and efficient installing a new battery the same day so that I could get to work. Thank you!

People are really nice and customer service agents are polite and knowledgeable. But the cost of an oil change was 250$. I tried another company 129.99. Same stuff so I wouldn't go again for that reason. They charge twice as much for a basic service.
Unreasonable pricing

Just picked up my 2009 SUV from the Collingwood Midas shop, after my noisy muffler turned out to also need a catalytic converter as well in my exhaust system. The ordered parts arrived quicker than expected over the weekend, so the excellent woman at the desk personally drove over to my place Monday
and took me back to pick up my repaired and needed RAV 4. The manager Nick was very helpful and friendly as well. I would highly recommend this Midas site. Judith B

Excellent service received from Leena and Nick at Midas Collingwood. Everyone was great to work with.

I called midas for a price on an oil change and a tire rotation. When I arrived the price had increased significantly and the manager blamed his staff. Poor leadership, great way to loose business, I won't be going back.

I had some great experiences with the Midas in Woodbridge. The owner Jim was honest, caring and I trusted him. So, when my wife’s car suddenly needed some muffler work, we went to Midas in Collingwood. She made an appointment for the next day, had to be 8am, or wait a few weeks. She brought in her car for 8am. After waiting a total of 90 minutes, and the technician communicating with her, bringing her into the shop to see the rust, and what needed to be done. He said he called and had one part that he could not get, and did not have a price for it, but so far, the cost was over $2,300, plus the part he did not have a price for. The quote included a new catalytic converter for over $1200. When she told me, I told her to call Mckee muffler in Nottawa, and get a quote from them. She was able to get an appointment for 3pm later that day. She asked me to take the car in for her. I arrived at McKee Muffler for 3pm. The man asked for my keys. When the car has up on the hoist, he looked underneath with the motor running for about 10 seconds. He came into the waiting room, and said I need a new muffler.lol. He entered the info into his computer, and said the cost was $300 plus tax. I asked if he had the parts, and could do it now. Yes. 25 minutes later, I was driving my wife’s car, and no more muffler noise. Most of the reviews here are for tire and oil changes, and they may be competitive at that. But for Mufflers, they were clearly under qualified, by over $2,000.

Went for an oil change and it ended up being the smoothest/easiest oil change I've ever had. The owner, Ranjeet, was very kind and professional. He even offered to buy me a Tim's when the mechanics went for a coffee run. Quick, easy and no nonsense up-selling at a great price. Thanks Ranjeet!

They had my car in within 10 minutes of me calling. Oil change was done along with a full inspection thanks to a coupon they had on their website within 45 minutes. From the time I called to see if they could take my car as a drop in to the time I picked my car back up was just under an hour. Both the receptionist and the repairman were very nice.

I had a positive experience booking my 8am appointment online. Was greeted on my arrival and all the paperwork taken care of quickly. My SUV was in and out for the oil Change quickly. Bill paid promptly. All good at Midas Collingwood

We were leaving town from our vacation and had a hanging splash guard. They were able to get us in right away and on the road again in 30 min

Without going too far into the circumstances that brought me unexpectedly to Midas in Collingwood, I was sitting in the waiting room, annoyed about my luck but so happy I had found someone to help out, when I noticed the price list for other auto repairs. Who knew? I always thought Midas was brakes and mufflers and had just recently found out they also did tires. Anyhow, I decided I may as well get a quote for all the other work I needed to do on my car. Once I saw how reasonable the quote was I thought while it's on a hoist I may as well get it all done. I am so glad I did.
I can honestly say:
1.the quote for repairs provided was explained thoroughly and was accurate.exact, in fact;
2.they were very accommodating. They worked hard and after normal hours of operation to get my car to me when they said it was going to be ready (again, I was an unexpected customer, in the midst of the busy tire change season and had just laid a heavy load of last minute work on them) ; and
3. I have never been treated so well even by auto repair shops I have frequented for years. Midas Collingwood customer service is exemplary.

Simply the very best service, genuine polite, patient and thorough, Highly Recommend, and proffessionals who take the time to explain and show you exactly what and where the problem is, all for a very good price.

Pleasantly surprised that the proprietor of the service depot drives a Tesla model Y. I have a new Tesla model 3 was a bit concerned where I could get service for my car. This is no longer an issue. If Midas can’t help, at least I now have someone to talk to
