Midas Auto Service And Tires

Was told one price on phone then told another after they looked at it. Was about $60 more then what they said on the phone. Had work done anyways but still was nothing more then what they said they would do so I dont know why they tacked on extra $60. Worked looked well done so. UPDATE: : 3 Years later same part rusted out while original last for 8 years might consider Ford this time.

This place is so quick. Came from winnipeg and needed tires change asap for safety. Noori helped us out with pricing and instant appointment. Must visit for tires and service.

I brought my car in for new brakes and was quoted double the price.went somewhere else.

I tried them again for a muffler issue today.

They gave me an estimate that according to NAPA auto parts was a couple of hundred over the price I would pay, if I walked in and bought the parts. *Dealers and chains would get a discount not afforded to me.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find anyone to do the work on short notice. Reluctantly, I went forward with the over priced work.

I waited 2 hours. When I asked for a copy of the written estimate, I signed, I got some resistance. After 2 hours the rep came to me and said they didn't see a spot. This resulted in another replacement part that cost a couple of hundred.

With my car already apart, I had to go ahead with the additional part.

I also asked if it's stainless steel and he said there's no such thing.

I was quoted by another shop, but couldn't get me in right away, that they would install stainless steel if replacement was needed, at a lower price.

I feel gauged and misled.

I'm going to use Grizzlies, for exhaust, in the future. It's a place I have used before and trust.

It's unfortunate, as I was hoping the place had changed since I got the brake inspection.

All you can do is give people a chance, the rest is up to them.

I have also noticed that low reviews are replied with nothing, "call us", or "we don't have you on file".

Noori is awesome! He is honest and trustworthy. He's the first person we call with any car questions. He's looked after both our cars for the past 7 years; from minor oil changes to any break downs. Call Midas and ask for Noori!

Thanks to the great team at this Midas headquarters, who always welcome me with a smile when I bring my car. They helped me in a difficult situation, giving me options to cope with the problem and with great attention, leaving my car in optimal conditions. I appreciate the effort and attention they have with the vehicle and the client.

I would like to describe a recent viist to a Midas location in Barrie and Toronto. After my 1999 Toyota Solara broke down on Hwy. 400 SB between Mt. St. Louie and Rd. 93 Penetanguishene. I had the alternator changed in at my local Midas in Toronto at 624 St. Clair W.manager (Theresa) in Marc 2023 and it failed in early June and was replaced under warranty. Imagine my shock and dismay when my alternator went poof again and in such remote area. I contacted Theresa in Toronto after I was advised by CAA that it would be $358.00 to get it back to her shop in Toronto we decided to take it to a closer location which was 341 Yonge St.in Barrie.before the car was on the flat bed I recieved a phone call from the Barrie Midas manager (Noori) assuring me that I would be taken care of and on my way as quickly as possible. As I have had a quadruple bypass in the last year this was good to hear as I am 75 and was feeling quite stressed. Theresa had called and told him the situation and when I arrived he assured me again that "we just want to get you on your way". The co-operation between the two locations was terrific. When I went to get my car back I was greeted with a smile as he handed me the keys $ 0.00 and said it will all be worked out. What a nice way it worked out. Theresa and Noori were amazing I don`t think I would ever consider taking my auto any where else. Thank you again, Noori and Theresa for such a professional job.

Highly recommend this place, the store manager Noori was very friendly and explained exactly what needs to get done on my car. In fact they provided a courtesy vehicle while working on my car BIG BONUS!

I went to have my tire switched today and when I get my car back, all rims are damaged have all deep scratches. The manager did not apologize but he said it has already been there. Me and my husband said one rim has a scratched but not 4 of the rim. We are very upset. We have been very careful with our tire and rims but midas did damage it and dis not even admit it. I will never come back here again. ️

Took my car in for an oil change last year, afterwards had dash warnings for brakes, took it back in and paid for a full brake job. Warning lights for emergency brake, brake system failure, electric braking failure. Took it in multiple times afterwards and they can't find anything wrong. Problem wasn't there before the oil change, they can't fix what they cause and completely ignore my problem.

Today, I go to book in for another oil change, it's convenient and close by, and can't really screw up an oil change. Book online, for this afternoon. Get confirmation, rescheduled for the following day in the same time slot. No one calls to see if that'll work.

Do. Not. Give. Them. Your. Money.

WOW! Had a loud sound coming from my exhaust on Sunday and just decided to stop by Midas on Yonge Street on my way to work at 7: 30 am the next day without an appointment. They open at 8 am, but they opened their doors at 7: 45 am. That in itself was a pleasant surprise! I was greeted by Anna who was absolutely lovely. She agreed to take the truck in asap and get it looked at. Again, another pleasant surprise, as I did not expect to be seen so quickly. I told her that I would wait, as I was heading into the office afterwards. I was able to wait in a clean and comfortable waiting area with a TV. The manager, Noori came out and brought me back to my vehicle (safely) and showed me the problem. I agreed to have it repaired and they (Matt, mechanic) had the vehicle all done for me within an hour and invited me once again to come back and see the repair. I was also very pleased with the cost of the repair! Noori was so accommodating and professional, as well as the other staff I interacted with. The whole team seems really happy and it is apparent that they really love their jobs. I was speaking with a gentleman in the waiting area, who also says he brings his cars here for everything. He even said they will loan you a car if you need it while repairs occur. I will be going back for any future repairs that my cars may need. Was not aware that they do all work on vehicles (just not body work)!

TOP NOTCH CUSTOMER SERVICE, this is rare these days.

Great service, got in without an appointment and the young lady working the counter was just incredible with her service. Highly recommend this location.

Service performed in a timely manner. No complaints. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nice waiting room.

Don't go this place they quoted me 1800$ to fix my exhaust nearby mechanic did it for free I hope you go bankrupt

Went in for a brake check and thanks! MiDAS for getting my brake fluid changed for no reason.
And you guys say my car needs more expensive work and i don't get it!

I was specific when I made my appointment that my tailpipe needed a clamp because it was loose. When I brought my vehicle in, I reiterated the problem with a loose tailpipe needing a clamp. As they did not take my car at my appointment time (with no explanation why) I went for a walk. They called me an hour after my appointment to tell me I needed a flex pipe for $450.00. This was not what I expected, but hey, they are the "experts" or so I thought.

When my car was ready, imagine my surprise after paying $450.00 to find my tailpipe still loose and it has not been even touched. When I went back inside to inquire, they took my vehicle back in and welded a steel rod to my my exhaust pipe and my car was done in less than 5 minutes. No apology, no offer of compensation, no available part to show why they performed an unauthorized repair and no explanation why the front office neglected to tell the technician why the vehicle was even in for service.
They have no business running a business.

Went in for an exhaust repair got an inspection and i know alot about mechanics and i was proved wrong and everyone there where professional, courteous and
Treated customers with decency and will absolutely return and recommend this establishment to anyone that doesn't trust alot of shops they are very fair

Steve diagnosed wheel bearings when I expected muffler - her even took it for a quick around the block to 'listen' - so helpful.as well he suggested I break the repair into 2 parts and keep the budget alive:) Completed part 1!

Was told they could service my car after they had a look at it. Scheduled an appointment for 4 days later, after taking time off and coming in. They told me they did not have the tools or expertise for the exhaust work required.

Gave them a shot and they were more than helpful and willing to work on a solution for an exhaust issue I had.

Brian and Shannon and staff are excellent. Always willing to help me with last minute emergencies and fair and honest business practices.

Their work is solid and I've never had a price discrepancy. My car has 175,000 km and runs like new thanks to these guys.

Took my older car here this past summer for numerous repairs. Encountered a problem with the car making a noise a few days later took it back to see what was wrong a couple of times and they eventually put on another new part to fix the problem so I was very happy with their service.
