Mikado Sushi &Thai Cuisine

Tried this place on a whim because it was close to where I was. Looked at the menu and the selection looked good and the prices were fair. I got a Kani salad and Tray B to share (takeout). Everyone really enjoyed it! The sushi was fresh and delicious, very tasty. If I find myself back in the area I would definitely be down to do a sit down meal and explore the menu more. Recommend!

I've sent them 4 emails with a very simple question about their menu and they haven't responded. Ridiculous. That's a very good way to lose customers and profit.

After reading reviews we gave this place a try…unfortunately we were disappointed. Amount of fish in all the rolls was minimal and everything was just average. I decided to try it out again for takeout and again was disappointed in the lack of filling in the rolls and nothing we ordered had any flavour. The service both times was quick and friendly.

Best sushi in London. It's clean even though the atmosphere isn't the greatest. Quick and accurate service.

I was eating with my 3 of my other friends and we had ordered a little too much to eat and there was a roll left uneaten and when the manager came over, he yelled in my friends face to not order what we can’t eat. Then once we said we didn’t like one of the rolls as he was leaving, he turned around and slammed the plate back on the table and yelled in her face again. He kept repeating how we should not order things we don’t like (we wanted to try the roll) after we had already agreed to pay for all the extra food. The food was good, but the service completely ruined the experience, not to mention we were all fasting the whole day and this was our first meal. Another server came and gave us our bill, we tried to file a complaint and he said he was the manager and then refused to give us his name. Will not be returning. Disgusting behaviour especially from an older man to a group of young girls.

We have been coming here for 15+ Years. The food is good however the server, which is the same guy every time for over a year now is absolutely MISERABLE. We put it off as maybe a bad day and tipped as usual the past few times but yesterday we had a birthday and he was so rude and disrespectful, pretty much the same attitude as the past 3 times we went but this time he slammed plates on the table, didnt even hand out drinks just put them all at the end for us to hand out and at the end wanted to charge us $12 to take left over bones for our dog home (that we have done for 15+ years now for no charge) the price is also $40 now so we gave him no tip. He should find a new job as being a server is clearly not for him. It's unfortunate but we will be finding a new sushi place. The 2 tables beside us were just as unimpressed as well. Sad one person can ruin something so good but he is the ONLY server and serves every day.

Good food but it's overpriced for what they serve. Staff kept staring at us while we eat (judging) and the waiter's clothes were dirty. The air conditioner was probably off and it was really hot in there (it make us question if the fish was properly refrigerated).
You can definitely find better places in town paying less.

Todays service was the worst, ive come to this sushi spot for years, referred all my friends here. My nephew spilled his water all over the table, we asked for napkins to clean it they brought very little, we asked 3 x for a rag to clean it and they didn’t bring it. We had to also ask for our second cup of water and they didn’t fill it til we were ready to leave. We didn’t feel service was up to par to tip. We spent 140+ - when the owner realized we didn’t tip he came barging asking was the service not good and us to shy to answer he proceeded to say, “next time we won’t serve you”. I am shocked and disgusted over a tip. These people r greedy and expect people to tip when the service or food wasn’t good. 10/10 wouldn’t recommend this place

This is probably the best sushi I’ve ever had and it was reasonably priced. Everything was SO fresh

Not bad for all you can eat. It is cheaper than 168 and the quality is decent. Better options available if you're willing to pay a little bit more. I would rather go to roll roll.

Awesome, fast delicious and fresh, very clean, good portions the hot and sour soup is delicious. Only one price the hole day, dinner price. AYCE, the best in the town. One thing added the waitress is not friendly at all, very impersonal.

The food here is good, my favorite sushi place, however I've noticed since covid some places seem to neglect their dining room and use it as storage since they aren't focused so much on indoor dining. There are fridges in the dining room and part of it is used as storage. Just losing the aesthetic appeal unfortunately.

It’s very dirty, they have no soap in the bathrooms and the soap right under the sink is full of water. I can never eat food here now that I have seen the restaurant vs.just ordering it off Uber eats.

First, I need to say that the food here is very good. My roommate orders sushi from Mikado via Skip (Door Dash?) all the time. I too have ordered from them via Skip, and was not disappointed.

Decided to try dining in tonight (~6: 30pm Saturday.) The place was very busy, but I got seated right away (the last available table, I think - the dining room maybe seats ~30-40 people tops.) They seemed to be having some issues with their iPad menus (dead batteries?) - after I would place an order, the server would take the iPad, and give it to a different customer.which was a little strange. Regardless, they did good, despite the issues. The show must go on! And they weathered the storm well.

There were two tables near me that were out of commission - as they were being used to store inventory (boxes of mostly takeout containers) for the kitchen. Those two extra tables could have really come in handy to accommodate customers during the dinner rush. Not really a huge deal for me, but some more pickier folk might be turned off by this.

All in all, I enjoyed myself, and will likely eat here again.
