Mike The Mover

I have used Mike the Mover (Guelph) twice in the last four months when I moved out during home renovations. Both times, their three-men crews were just fabulous to work with. They worked both quickly and with care to my furniture. I’d highly recommend this company and appreciated their help.

From start to finish Nick B and the "Magic Mike" movers were A+. Not a bad thing can be said about this team. Quick, efficient and funny.

We recently moved from Cambridge to Guelph with Mike the Mover and couldn't be happier - the movers were friendly, helpful, and extremely efficient. Fantastic service overall and I could not recommend them more highly. I will definitely be suggesting them when asked for a moving company recommendation anywhere in the area.

Great movers. Very fast and great team of guys. Used them about 3 times now and never an issue I wouldn’t consider another moving company. Gord, Matt and James are very easy to work with and make sure your belongings are well taken care of.

The movers were fast and efficient. That being said I paid an extra 225 or so for replacement insurance. My bed was broken but when I pointed it out they said it was like that (it wasnt). Also one of the feet was missing off my liquor cabinet so it now rocks unless I shim it. It wasn't like that before the move. They also didn't put chairs back together that they took apart. Not that it really mattered because I was paying hourly so it saved me a bit of money
dont bother with any insurance and just use your house insurance.

This was the least professional experience I’ve ever had with a company. It took 3 people 4 hours to move half my basement apartment (quarter of things, couch dinning table big things etc.) then the other quarter (medium size, dresser reading chair and a handful of free standing shelves) to my dads apartment (Guelph-Cambridge) when we got to the apartment one of the guys (said his name was tommy but idk if that’s true. He wouldn’t tell me his name and kept saying it was mike. One of the other guys said he name was tommy.) anyway he had already opened one of the doors into the building (I’ve never been in that room because it’s for the superintendent) and was trying to figure out how to get the elevator on service. Instead of waiting for me to get there and find my superintendent (how it should be done) they where definitely not trying to brake a sweat that day. Now don’t get me wrong I started to give them attitude and I’m not saying I’m in the right by any means BUT they escalated it way to far and it ended with me telling them to just get my stuff off the truck so I could deal with it. Tommy got off the truck and was yelling at me to fight him. One other guy was making threats at me and when I asked if he was threatening he said he doesn’t threaten he makes promises. At the end of the day I ended up paying 800$ for an excruciatingly slow move. Will never use mike the mover again, nor would I ever recommend and will actively try and convince people not to use them. It’s not worth the money, spend the extra cash and get REAL professionals to move your stuff. I promise it will be way less of a headache and the people will look professional and not sketchy. And won’t get you in trouble with your buildings superintendent by not going where they shouldn’t. Overall 1/10 use at your own risk. Have used them in the past and had great service but it only takes one horrid experience for me!

I really appreciated the excellent service and understanding you folks provided during my 4 th attempt at moving back in May in Elora. It was incredibly frustrating to have to reschedule my move 4 times due to municipal bungling but, you guys came through with amazing understanding and consideration. It was less than a 1/2 km move but you guys showed great professionalism given the difficulty with the first location etc. Pricing was very reasonable with no hidden costs or surprises. You're on my list for next move and you'll also be 'mentioned in dispatches' when I have occasion to suggest movers to anyone else. Thanks again.fantastic performance all round. Dan D. Elora.

We had a crew of 4 move our family of 4 from Guelph to Cobourg. I would highly recommend this company. They were top notch in every way! Professional, prompt and big smiles right up to the end of a very long day. Worth every penny as well as the $50 tip (each).

We have moved numerous times over the past decade and these guys were by far the best that we have hired. Nathan and his team worked fast and efficiently even on an unpleasantly humid day, were super personable, and took really good care of our stuff. We hope we won't have to move again for awhile (!), but would hire them again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.

It was the best move ever with a team who are happy, friendly, kind, and so helpful. Nathan, Aidan and Guy were the most nicest people I have ever met, if you ever had issues with a mover, nows the time to change and try this company. Nick was so friendly when he came to give us the quote. Just treat them with respect, they work so hard, so keep everything ready for them and it was a breeze.

Today mike the mover company came to Thunder Bay with a 26 foot truck to move a family, phenomenal guys Nathan and Noah are, i would and absolutely will recommend them any day to anyone!

This is the sixth move I've made with Mike the Mover and they are excellent! On time, super quick and very careful with all my glass and china and crystal. The guys are super friendly, professional and polite. I highly recommend them!

With 2 days notice, Mike was able to put together a crew to move my mother into a retirement home. RJ and Cory T were early and got to work immediately, assessing the furniture and quickly developing a plan. I was able to get the new suite set up and ready to move in faster than I had planned. A year has passed and my mother moved to long-term care. Again, with very short notice Mike's crew was able to pack and move her furniture from the retirement home to a Goodwill drop-off centre. Different works than last time but just as efficient. Thanks once again to Mike and his workers.

I was extremely happy with the service. They were extremely careful with how they removed my belongings from the apartment to how they secured and wrapped everything in the truck. The move was quick, precise and without any incidents whatsoever. I would definitely use Mike the Mover again. Well done.

We hired Mike the Mover on Wed May 22 to move some art and furniture that belonged to our dad who passed away recently. It was an emotional time for us and his belongings included valuable pieces as well as a lifetime of memories. Brock, Cory and Mike were a wonderful team who handled everything respectfully, professionally and with humour and genuine interest. The move included three destinations and this was handled efficiently and smoothly. Some of the belongings went into storage and the items were placed into a small space expertly and carefully. I am a very particular person and I felt very comfortable right from the start with Cory, Brock and Mike handling the move! Thanks guys for a great job!

We couldn't have asked for harder working, more efficient & greater guys to pack and move our stuff. Out of two full trucks packed and stacked, not a thing was damaged as it was so well packed. The guys worked through the hottest day of the year unloading and never complained. They took two very, very short breaks. Amazing service. Thank you so much Tom, Mike, RJ, Guy, Dominic, and Nathan, Brock (and the last guy whose name escapes me). This move was a big one for our family both physically and emotionally and these guys made it better.

Very dissapointed. After a year of them moving my furniture into my house my bed frame broke. At first I thought it was just an accident. When I lifted up my mattress and box spring I realized they did not screw in any of the support boards. There is clearly holes and were meant to be screwed on.

Just had the pleasure of having cory and r.j move my stuff.

Corey and RJ did a great job moving our old fridge out and new one in. Our kitchen is on the second floor, so it was not an easy job. But they worked efficiently, and communicated well with each other. They were also able to come with short notice!

Top notch fellas. I had a 600+ lb aquarium that needed to be moved through house. Flipped up onto landing. Then down my stairs. Needless to say, these professionals got the job done flawlessly.

Just want to give a huge thanks to Mike The Mover for organizing and flawlessly executing a stress free move from Fergus, ON to Halifax, NS. We have moved with them many times over the past 2 decades and have never been disappointed, so it was a no-brainer to call them for this big long distance move. Thanks.

Flawless move from Kitchener to Sudbury. Overall, beyond satisfied. These guys are the best! I moved several times and had movers that broke stuff and didn't seem to care. But these guys.hats OFF. We had a very difficult move involving multiple stops and into the busy city of Toronto, yet our movers managed everything very timely for us. They were even willing to start early for us at 7am to beat traffic. Booking and accommodations were simple and straight forward, and three movers for the flat rate was well worth it!

First off, I have to mention that this move of some furniture was under tight time frames; this company was able to squeeze me into their schedule without any great hassle.

The team arrived right on time, they did the move very efficiently, and were done well within the allotted time (even though they did have some difficulty - which they overcame with no damage to the furniture - with the fairly small elevator door at the end destination).

I am very satisfied with the overall experience, and will not hesitate to 1) call on them again, should the need arise; and 2) happily recommend the company to any friends who are planning a move.

There was a misunderstanding but MIKE'S representative resolved the issue to my satisfaction and left me feeling good l. They care about what their customers think and it shows

I called them up 4 days before I needed them. Nick was awesome helping out set everything up. Day of.they literally moved my stuff in 2hr! Couldn't say enough about the 3 guys that helped. Asked to stick around and even arrange stuff after. Highly recommend them!

The 2 gentlemen were friendly and made good time. They wrapped the furniture well to ensure nothing got scratched. All in all a great job and I would recommend them.

The 3 movers showed up on time, move went very smoothly, they were done packing in an hour and delivered to the new address also in about an hour's time.
They also took good care of George - a large plant!
I have no hesitation to use this company again.
