Location is very clean and the staff are nice especially for one being ran by high school teenagers and young adults.
They could open up more lanes but overall the service is pretty fast there. Everyone one is willing to help when you ask and are pretty good at directing you towards the items.
The location is not that big compared to others so they don’t have a lot of stuff as usual but still enough that you can get majority of things from this location. I usually wouldn’t buy meat from no frills but theirs is pretty good, seem fresh. I didn’t buy it ultimately lol but I wouldn’t be against it either.
Not in the worst of locations too and Covid protocols are in place in accordance to the government.
I’ve never been in a supermarket before that employs so many rude cashiers. One in particular doesn’t even have the common courtesy to acknowledge the customer. No hello, no smile, nothing. Some of them need to develop some serious customer service skills.
I was there earlier today and some lady went nuts and Robbie dealt with her like a professional. If I was in his position I would have lost my job that very day, but Robbie kept his cool and was respectful and honest with the lady. The lady we complaint about waiting in 20 minutes in line (as if she never had the option to change lanes) and got mad when she wasn't allowed to cut customers in line. The lady then began to spew lies that Robbie was cussing at her and called the manager. Nobody was happy with her, nobody should have even needed to deal with her on a Saturday morning. Nobody, and I mean nobody has the kind of energy to deal with that. But Robbie did. Give that man a raise.
This location usually has a great selection of food items, and cleaning tools. I've never had any issues with food or product purchased from Mike's No Frills. Sometimes the staff seems unresponsive, but they usually drop everything they're doing to help me.
If i could give this place a zero i would. I was there last night after work at 8pm. Produce was disgusting. Grapes should be in sealed bags to avoid nasty people from removing them from one bag to another! Store overall was dirty. This seems to be frequent in this store.
This place is a few hundred metres from my home and I used to go here exclusively. The prices are very good, and the produce and meat have always been good as well.
More recently however, I've been turned off of this place because some of the employees are very rude. Not all, but a significant number. There are some cashiers who are rude, and I don't mean rude when someone bothers them, I mean rude period. There is one cashier who cashed me out a few weeks ago, and as usual she asked if I wanted bags, to which I said "3 please". She rang the stuff through, then I paid and she hadn't given me the bags so I said in a normal tone "Oh can I have the bags please? " She didn't look at me or say a word, then reached for the bags and literally threw them at my chest. I was shocked and I said that that was rude, no response. I saw her with other customers and she is unpleasant. There are a couple of other cashiers lacking in manners as well.
The other day when I was in there a gentleman was pulling a pallet of product toward one of the freezer areas at the back, and he cut in front of me, which was no big deal, I stopped. However he kept backing up and colided with an elderly lady who was shopping and just looking at stuff in the open freezer (I told him to stop) and he didn't apologize or even say anything to her and actually she had to back up and then he just kept going without saying a word.
There are plenty of grocery stores in the area that are just as cheap (Walmart for example) within 5 minutes that people can choose from. Maybe the owners need to be more involved in managing their staff, I've never seen them there even once. Also, I haven't seen one response at all by the owners to any customer concerns expressed in the reviews which definitely says something.
Since I couldn't find a FORTINOS in that part of Woodbridge, this was a decent and cheaper substitute. The SHOPPERS DRUG MART across the street was also handy, allowing me to complete my shopping.
Worst encounter with the staff.asked them for an entree from the freezers.the sassy old employee kept telling me she has worked at the store long enough to know it doesn't sit in the freezer section. LOL, OMG.it was hilarious but ridiculous coz I was in a rush. I just left the store and grabbed my stuff from a Walmart.
Just be careful here, some of their products outdated, I've seen items such as bread a blueish color, must be mold but great place to do research on penicillin.
One of the senior employees named Shane was extremely rude to me and my children. I seen him yelling at the younger employees on a Wednesday night. He was screaming at two of the employees to go home and was saying that they are useless. I am extremely disgusted that he would treat his employees like this, It seems like he was in charge at the time. Mike needs to take care of this matter. I will not be shopping here again after witnessing this.
This No Frill's is really accommodating to people with hearing impairments. The cashier this past Saturday night around 7pm with the loose curly hair, black glasses & good anime energy, was really helpful & kind, *didn't even need to scan the heavy water bottles knew the code by heart, a true OG!:).
The cashier also spoke loudly & clearly, however i was only able to hear the amount that the change was because of my impairments. Thank you (Mike's) No Frill's for being a supportive store & having great people whom are accepting, thoughtful, & kind towards the hearing impaired community. Hope you had a great weekend, & may you all have a superb week, Thank you again very much!
p.s. If you found a missing left ear orange ear plug by any chance, that's mine & i've been looking for it all over the place and might of lost it at your store.
Not only is there a lack of staff at the store, they are incredibly rude. Even the owner Mike is rude to customers AND his own staff. Honestly don't know who let him open this franchise. Terrible owner with a terrible attitude. Will not return.
Worst supermarket in Southern Ontario. Ridiculous customer service. Cashing out takes forever. Third world countries much better than this trash of NoFrills. Loblaws need to close this store.
If you want fresh vegetables, you have to be there by 8. If you go in afternoon or evening, it will look like they were robbed. It's insane how many times I went there and shelves were empty.
They don't even have baskets. It's not that they ran out, they just don't have any!
Learning this, I burst out laughing, turned around and drove to Anthony's No Frills. Are they running a grocery store here? What else don't they have? I could have complained to a manager, but why would I want to talk to someone who knowingly runs a grocery store without baskets? Likely the sort of person who should've been kept running the checkout.
So if you're brave enough to find out how far the inadequacy of the management goes, then by all means visit Mike's No Frills!
Not very much to say all advertised items are not available, 4 or 5 times it happened to me asked elderly staff member probably Franchise owner was rude to answer, my wife still send me there. Long lines from one side to the Cashiers, either you have a bag of milk or 100 items. Washrooms closed with a sign "out of service ". Seniors sometime cannot hold for too long when shopping Not too many good things to say unless they improve Customer Service.
Terrible service and management. The lack of cashiers is insane compared to the lineup. I will never shop at this location. Not worth the time and horrible customer experience.
Might want to pack a lunch if you decide to shop here because the lone ups are ridiculously long. And yes the pandemic has alot to do with it but seems most other no frills have it figured out by now.
Because of Covid, this smaller store is forced to section off the freezer section which makes it harder to navigate. Less selection on things like ready made meals.
My employer who is in the same plaza often purchases gift cards for our staff. Made a significant purchase, one of the cards is faulty, inquired with management to obtain resolve, told it was not their problem. Will not be returning to support a business who has this approach to customer service.
It was an excellent store, that had a wide range of products for sale at great prices. The lineup for checking out could be long, depending on the time and day of visit. There were only 2 or 3 cashiers working at any given time.
It is good.they have almost all kind of groceries. Suchs as vegetables, Indian lentils, indian spices, frozen food, canned food at affordable prices and cheaper as compare to Walmart's grocery item.
Been going here for about 2 years now with my family. And trust me if we had any problems here we would never shop here. Nice and clean. Fresh vegetables and bakery’s.
Good clean store. The only thing I don't like they don't have shopping baskets and also they need to put bigger visible stickers on the shelves for sale items.
Organized, cashiers were on point As usual customers were not following the arrows on the floor which were clearly visible. That's no fault of the store but inconsiderate 50 something year old ladies. I expected better.
The owner of this particular store is rude, disrespectful, and have zero professionalism. Just shocked how the corporate granted him the opportunity to be a franchisee.
I went to Mike No Frills a few moments ago to purchase two items. Up an arrival it was the 6: 47 p.m. In the store was scheduled to close at 7: 00 p.m. I was mad at door by two employees who turned away two other individuals along with myself the state in that they close at 6: 45 p.m. When I informed them that the online it said they close at 7: 00 p.m. He said that they close at whatever time they feel like closing. He went on to say that sometimes they close at 6: 30. I won't be long-winded, however, while we appreciate what these store employees are doing for the general public it is quite unfortunate when the public take the risk to go to these stores and our turn away arbitrarily for no apparent good reason other than the individual have the power to close the store earlier than the posted time. Now in order to get these two items, I will have to further risk exposing myself by going in the public another day to pick up these items. This is really unfortunate to say the least.
Bought seed pack but spoiled inside. When spoke to them and show the seed pack.they asked me to call the seed company, ever thought there is no number and I bought it from nofrills but they refused to even take the complain to their seed supplier. Bad attitude by the guy! Bad bad!
The owner of the store is rude and a disrespectful person. People were asking to add one more cashier due to the enormous line up outside in this cold and Covid -19 situation. He was yelling, shouting and arguing and told them to stay home and don't come to the store. I never seen this type of person and store owner in my life. No frill franchisee should throw him out from business.
Customer service was horrible, I was on the phone for over an hour. I was put on hold for way too long, I was working with a very unprofessional person. Not impressed!
This is like my everyday go to grocery store. It has almost everything I need for day to day needs. Complemented by the dollarama next door it provides entire shopping for the family. The organic bananas are worth mentioning. I also get indian pulses and basmati rice. Last but not the least I found the golden pompino fish which I was searching for s long time. It's in the freezer fish section.
Great convenient shopping close to bank and other amenities friendly and knowledge staff always willing to assist you if you can't find a particular item thanks no frills keep up the great work
I absolutely detest this place. The lines are always super long even at the small items check out because they're too cheap to hire more cashier's. Everything that they advertise is never there because they're outta stock. This place will make you waste your time like no tomorrow. If I could give 0 stars, I would.
Generally good for all around grocery shopping. Some specific items can be more expensive for whatever reason but if you like PC products and collect points No Frills is the best! (To management why are you always stocking off skids on Saturday and Sunday afternoon? Maybe do it before hand or in the evenings?)
Location is convenient, if u dont want bulk groceries from Costco 5 minutes away. Store is well kept and shelves always stacked with groceries. Staff is helpful too.
Average grocery. Much cleaner than other Nofrills I have been to which is good. Not a huge selection of international foods, however prices for products are great. I like that it's not overall crowded and packed.
Never see a more crowded NoFrill! I guess it's good biz for owner. Happy for him. But I bumped into or being bumped into by other people 3 times in 1 visit! And the line up was very long. I don't think I want to return to this location:/
I like shopping at no frills as it has the best prices. This location is on the smaller side so has less options. The store however was clean and didn't have to wait to long in line
Great if you want to wait 20 minutes while people are lined up down the aisles with 3 cash registers open. Layout makes it so that you cant move up and down aisles without having to turn around because cash lines bleed in. Need more staff and better layout.
