MiKi sushi

Seems to be new management and staff. Old manager was wonderful but quality and service are terrible now. Been going since they opened and won’t be anymore.

We got a large sushi & roll tray a week ago. The owner/manager was very friendly as was the staff. Everything was ready for pickup on time, so that was great (worst place was Gal’s Sushi). The price was about 30% LESS expensive than other places such as Mi-ne, so that was great! Yet, it was disappointing that there wasn’t the variety of sushi as other places…no Tako, Butterfish, Unagi, Tobiko, etc. We ordered Unagi separately, but we didn’t know that the other sushi wasn’t included. We would have rather paid more, to get a wider variety. The shrimp tempura was very tasty and the Takoyaki was also good. Other places include miso soup and a salad with their orders, especially when you’re paying around $200. So I guess the trade-off is pay more, but then you also get a nicer selection of sushi. The sushi didn’t have any wasabi under the raw fish, so it seems to cater to more western tastes…would have been nice to have wasabi.

I've been to many sushi restaurants, but miki stands out with its consistent quality in both service and food, def my go-to sushi spot:)

Service was very good, staff was very friendly and nice. Food tasted good, the perfect combos are such a good deal. I highly recommend their rolls as they are very big and packed with ingredients. Only downside is the limited parking.

Miki offers a good selection of sushi/sashimi options, including torched and pressed sushi. The dishes are well presented and all dishes tried were very tasty. The quality of the food was great without being pricey. Not surprisingly they are very busy. We tried to figure out how the hidden chefs were managing to prepare so much volume so quickly (lots of take out orders). Miki is not fancy and has a very small dining area, with tables that are packed tightly. So much so that the servers bump patrons on every pass by. Reservations are necessary.

I can't rave about MiKi Sushi enough! There's a level of artistry in the food they make, and the quality, regardless of how busy they are, remains the same every single time we go there. The friendly staff also makes eating at the restaurant such a pleasant experience. Their servers and cooks treat us like we're family. If you want to eat the best Japanese and Korean food in the GTA, go to MiKi Sushi!

It was my family’s first time trying Miki Sushi and we loved it! As vegetarians, it’s rare to find restaurants in Markham with good vegetarian sushi options (and not just basic cucumber, avocado rolls) so this was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be coming back. The lady who took my order over the phone was super sweet and when I went to pickup our food, it was ready to go so I was in and out quickly. Not only was the food and customer service amazing, the prices are very reasonable and there was a cash discount.

MiKi, is the BEST Sushi Spot in Ontario. The best quality and tasty sushi, absolutely love everything on the menu and has never changed in its quality past four years I have made the drive from Etobicoke to dine in and/or pick up a take out to take for home, or take out to visiting with friends in the area. Wonderfully friendly kind thoughtful waiters and extremely skilled, talented chef’s. Everything on the menu is excellent, fantastic quality, and excellent service! Love Love MiKi

I recently tried Miki Sushi for a dinner for two and ordered their $30 dinner along with the Salmon Meets Garlic Roll. The dinner was absolutely delicious and included a generous amount of food. The standout dish for me was definitely the Salmon Meets Garlic Roll - it was flavorful and expertly prepared. Overall, I had a great experience at Miki Sushi and would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area looking for tasty and satisfying sushi options.

Restaurant was full for Friday night. Got their spider roll, aburi salmon and a spicy fried roll. Good rice to fish ratio. My favourite between the three was the spider roll. All of them had a similar sauce, but it was tasty.

Love the combo spicy roll! Highly recommended, make a trip to this place at least once a month, thanks Miki Sushi ️

Great restaurant forJapanese & Korean food. Besides the great food, the service is excellent! One example of good food: the raw fish of the sushi is extremely fresh and the cut of raw fish is excellent with ample size that covers about one and half times the chuck of rice. Many others provide bigger chuck of rice with smaller cut of raw fish. Sashimi cut is thick & big slice as compared to most I’ve tasted. The price is good-value, in my opinion, the quality I received is more that what I paid for. Kalbi beef tasted excellent as well. If you want to enjoy great Japanese or Korean food, you will not be disappointed at Miki Sushi!

After a friend shared about this place, we have been going ever since our first visit. I highly recommend the lunch for two combo if you have someone to share it with! Udon was delicious!

Food is fresh and tasty but what makes a dining experience great is customer service. They did beyond with our toddler and baby. This means a lot for parents when they are out dining.

Wonderful staff! Very kind and attentive. Food was fantastic and super fresh! Portions were great too! If I'm ever in the area again I'd definitely return! The Philadelphia cheese roll was massive.

The BEST sushi I had in Toronto! The staff were also very friendly and nice. Will come back soon for sure. The group was busy talking and we stayed pass the close time. They did not say anything and were busy wrapping up the days work. So respectful and welcoming!

This little gem is outstanding. Service, food quality, portions are all very good. You will not be disappointed. We ate 6 items and only one was average. The other 5 were OUTSTANDING.

A small Korean Sushi restaurant, good quality of food and excellent service. A bit pricy, overall I give 4.5 stars.

Fresh fish, perfect amount of rice to fish ratio in sushi, great service and good portion size. What else can be said?

Enjoyed the perfect lunch special with tuna tartar to start. Also ordered the chirashi without the rice. Very happy with the portion size, had to pack away leftovers as wife and I couldn't finish in one sitting!

Made and confirmed reservations for 3 at a certain time. Went there and had us wait 30 min bc of their mistake even though a table was empty. At their new promised time of seating, they separated that free table to seat 2 separate parties without reservations. We left as they did not provide resolution.

Friendly service, halal friendly options available with seafood udon noodle soup because they have a vegetarian base.

This place is my absolute favourite sushi spot. I love both the regular and vegetarian options. The vegetarian rolls are amazing! I like a restaurant that actually tries to be creative and make vegetables tasty rather than use fake meat. The Rocky Mountain roll is my favourite. Thank you MiKi! I regularly order at this place, its the best sushi restaurant in the area.
Salmon sashimi is very good and the rolls are always fresh.
Only reason i took off one star is due to their takeout packaging. Using too much unrecyclable boxes. Hope they can change to paper containers or more eco friendly containers.

Good food, not a lot of tables, good service, a good waiting time for food, around 10 minutes. Do not be deceived by the picture on the menu: it looks small but is actually a lot of food (especially the perfect lunch)

Some of the best quality sushi and sashimi in the great Toronto area for relatively decent price. Ordered the medium 55pcs of sashimi and sushi tray for 3 person to share, it was 30bucks per person to split with 12% of tips included.

Good food and servers are kind. The torched sushi is pretty good. The grilled pans are a bit cheap quality.

Much much better than my expectations. Food quality was quite good comparing to the other Japanese restaurant. Customer service was excellent too.

Really enjoyed the sushi here for the price. I have brought friends and family here several times and we are never disappointed- even the non-sushi fans.
Ingredients are fresh and there are many options. Service is very friendly. I always get the pressed sushi- it melts in your mouth and is super flavourful. The only downside is that the rolls do tend to fall apart.

An absolutely excellent sushi joint to visit in Markham. Pretty sure this brand new, and has the makings to be an institute in the area. I hate AYCE sushi, and don’t understand why people would want to eat until their stomachs explode - MiKi has exceptional variety of sushi which is fresh and delicious. You don’t always need to do AYCE to have good food.

We came at a busy time (Friday night at 7pm) but found parking fairly easily and got seated quickly. Warning it’s on a busy stretch of Hwy 7 so you might have difficulty parking and finding a spot.

Will definitely visit again.

The food was very tasty and fresh and it did take a little time to make but that's expected when you're getting it made from scratch and fresh off the table I would visit again because there's so many choices on their menu I was overwhelmed I didn't know where to start so I took a few things and everything that I bought I was very impressed I will go there again next time I want to eat and not take out

Great food and consistently great service. I come here at least twice a month and is always wow-ed by how friendly the service is.

A new sushi restaurant that I noticed on highway 7. Staff were friendly, the sushi tasted amazing and they provided us with a complimentary poke style dish as an appetizer. I’d go back again to try other menu items. Their dragon rolls were great. The only downfall to the restaurant is the limited seating space and limited parking. If you are in the area, I recommend you come eat here.

I'm not sure if people is overrating, the only food is good with no complaint is the sashumi, the rest of others are so so. For sushi, the rice is too soft. Tempura and Teriyaki are bad, the presentation of all foods are well though.the qualities are the trade off. Staffs are super nice so I will give them one more try.

Small restaurant, about 10 tables of 4, cozy atmosphere with Korean pop music in the background and on the TV. They give an extra small noodle appetizer in addition to miso soup and salad for combos. We tried Miki dinner and 18pc Sashimi combo. Both meals had good taste and texture of fish. Prices were competitive. The long time Japanese restaurant across the street (which we typically go to) has some serious competition now! You should make reservation for any party over 6. Parking can be tough. Park on the side with the condo sales office and kitchen renovation store.

Little sushi place with a fresh sashimi selection and warm, delicious rolls. You must try the Salmon Meets Garlic roll - they drizzle garlic butter on top of torched salmon slices! Waitress was patient and friendly. Parking is limited, so try to arrive at a less popular dinner time. I will return for that garlic butter!

Amazingly fresh Sushi! Staff are kind and care for the product of their food and customers. I appreciate the greeting when customers first come in. Fantabulouso place. Would definitely go back.

Have been here several times now and have been impressed with their food. It’s fresh and expertly prepared.

I came here for lunch on Friday and place is clean, staff is very welcoming and attentive.
I was complimented with a small portion of noodles, no clue what it was but was tasty.

Looking at the menu it is quite large but great for those who are not as up to speed with Japanese cuisine as provides plenty of options.

So after much contemplating I picked the Polar Bear and I must admit I did enjoyed it very much. You can tell ingredients was fresh and everything was well balanced.

So everyone dont let the size of this place fool you as it is worth a stop.

Miki Sushi is a small Korean run Japanese restaurant at Markham. It is at the street plaza at Hwy 7 near Kennedy Road. The parking is very limited, but if you are going for dinner, you can park in front of other stores after they are closed. We ordered a small sashimi platter, aburi sushi set and spicy seafood udon. 40 pieces of sashimi are clearly thicker cut than most other Japanese restaurants. Aburi torch sushi has 8 different types of fish including scallop, shrimp and squid. The spicy seafood udon has alot of seafood and kimchi, but it is very spicy. As a person who can eat very spicy, I really like the soup. I cannot wait to try something else next time as they have a extensive menu.

Such a nice experience here. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Prompt service and offered very helpful suggestions. Excellent quality and variety of sashimi-very generous portion and their sushi was also excellent quality-especially loved the pressed sushi-rainbow. Their sushi rolls have more filling than rice with great flavour! Can't wait to return to try other items on their extensive menu.

Jason the chef was very artistic, creative, professional on taking the orders and making it happen in no time. Also this place is very clean and their sushi are very delicious. Dont get any chicken or tempura here. Didn't try the fish, so it might be ok. But over price for food that is worst than all you can eat

The only bad thing about this restaurant is its location, hard to find parking, hard to find a table if you come in large group.

Only recommend for 4 or less people.
