I don't write many restaurant reviews, but I felt this one warranted it. The positives were our waitress was great and attentive and the location is a hotspot with lots around to see and do. The food is just not good. I am not a foodie and rarely complain about restaurants, but this was just bad. We had the crab dip appetizer which was pretty fishy and served with small broken potato chips that I am positive were from a bag. I had the burger which was ok but for $32 expected better. My friend had the prime rib dip. I was far too salty, the consistency of the meat seemed mushy, most likely because it wasn't fresh and was just reheated, and the fries were not fresh cut but from frozen. When you are charging mid $30s for a sandwich, that's not good enough. I have a hard time understanding how this place has a 4-star average rating given what we were served, but my recommendation is to find another restaurant. I don't mind overspending for dinner.it's Toronto, but there are plenty of places in that area with much better food.

Came before a Raptors game, and they accommodated our family of 5. Quick service and high quality food. Had Wagyu pasta and a fish and chips

Food quality was terrible, my client I was hosting ordered the pot pie and under the crust there was an about 3tbsp of stew and 2 pieces of beef. The waiter couldn’t even say hello and had nothing friendly to say. When we finally flagged him down asking for sparkling water, he just said “oh we ran out” … so lame. I work in sales at cibc square and the location was great but after this I’m just not including this in my restaurant options for hosting clients anymore.

I had a cobb salad last week, it was great but I did not like one thing that the staff did not hear me saying sparking water from tap. I remember I told him twice but I guess he heard only sparking water and then bottle was on the table. That's weird, but overall food was nice, I did not find the place to hang my jacket, may be it was somewhere in the back but I feel premium places like this should have options someplace near to your table.

Great to actually be back to a place we went as teenagers. The old pub turned into a higher end restaurant. A little bit loud for an intimate dinner but overall pretty good. Food was acceptable, just found it a little pricey and disorganized the night we dined, maybe just a coincidence, I will give it another chance eventually.

Cute atmosphere for an area that has so many large crowds. Bit pricey even with the upscale food options, the portions aren’t very large.

Stopped in for a bite before the Leafs game. Had the waygu burger which was great, but this review is about Michael and the management staff that went above and beyond to accommodate us. Best service I've had in a long time. Thanks guys!

Crab croquettes are delicious, drinks are very well prepared. Service at the bar, ok. Guy was kind of grumpy for a Friday Night. Perfect spot before a concert:)

Went to the Miller before the game and the device was amazing and the food was delicious. We both had chicken which is a new item and it was the beautiful start to a wonderful night. The chicken so tender and the gravy was amazing.

A top-notch restaurant with prices to match, although, in view of the general quality of the food, it remains good value. Very pleasant, good humored, competent staff.

Total rip off.limited menu and very expensive. Paid $18 for a lackluster salad, and an additional $12 for a piece of chicken. Drinks are ridiculous. $20 for a Moscow Mule.no thanks! Stuck with water. Service was slow too. First and last time going there. Such a disappointment.

Stopped by this place after the Blue Jays game with my wife. Was attended to quickly and seated near a group of rowdy girls who were clearly going to a concert soon. Not ideal but not bothered by it either. Our waitress was kind, and fairly attentive once she made first contact with us. We asked for a Steak Tartare to share, Cesar Salad for me and roasted squash salad for my wife. Tartare was really tasty but for some reason came with only one slide of bread cut in half. The amount of Tartare was a good portions and would clearly need more bread to go along with it. Asked the waitress for another piece of bread which another team member brought out to us. I got confused because the extra bread they sent out was now more than double than the original dish came with. Why wouldn't they just give us the proper amount of bread to eat this dish? I didn't think too hard and kept enjoying my meal. Cesar Salad was basic in flavour, good portion, but felt somewhat "wet". It was as if they didn't spin the lettuce dry well enough. Either way, okay Cesar. My wife was slightly disappointed with her squash salad because the menu described "roasted Squash" salad. Wasn't very roasted. So an okay on that salad too. We then ordered a cheesecake and it was described perfectly by our waitress before we ordered it. Really really tasty. Now.drum roll. We got the bill, and they charged me $2.50 for 2 pieces of bread when I only really just needed one and used only one extra. I get charging for food costs, but 1, waitress didn't inform me it was an extra cost, and 2, make a tartare dish that has enough bead on it to finish the tartare on it. So overall experience. Good Service, Good Food, and Over Priced.

The trout almondine looked more like altantic salmon, very small portion, a few small potatoes and a articoke heart for $36, over priced

Went here for dinner before the Bill Burr show at Scotiabank.

Our server and food was good. The server told us the bar was slow, but it was really bad. We ordered drinks, waited 10 minutes then ordered appetizers. Your apps came before our drinks (after 25 minutes). Every drink refill we got took at least 15 minutes.

The thing that was kinda infuriating was that we literally ordered glasses of wine and beer on tap. No cocktails or any fancy drinks, yet it was taking so long to get anything. If the bar was that busy surely the server could have went behind the bar and poured a beer.

My fiancé and I came here to enjoy dinner before a concert, this was the first time we had ever eaten at this establishment. I wish I could leave a better review but unfortunately the service was so bad it outweighed the good food. There was a mix up with our bill and some communication errors on both our side and the servers and we take responsibility for that (and our server took care of us in working the bill out). When we got the new bill ($122.05) we left $143.05. This is where things took a turn, the waitress we had (Melissa) took the money and sarcastically said “thank you SO much for your generosity” scoffed and walked away. She then returned a couple minutes later and slapped the loonie that was left with the bill back on our table and walked away without saying anything. I’m assuming she didn’t count the money we left before acting this way. Whether she counted the money or not you should never treat someone like that. It gave us a good laugh as she looked quite ridiculous acting this way over a $21 tip. We absolutely loved the manager and he was very apologetic for her behaviour which we appreciated beyond measure.

Had an overcooked, overpriced burger and drinks. Half of the draft beer options were sold out and the wait staff brought the wrong drinks to our party multiple times. The only redeeming quality is that it’s next to the scotia bank arena

Used to be much better! Recently, the quality of the food is not the same as before, and considering what you pay, you can eat better foods somewhere else! Very disappointed. I was a regular, but won’t go back again.

My wife and a few of her friends came here to celebrate her birthday and they all enjoyed themselves. The food was fantastic and they catered to everyone there. Colin the manager was amazing and their server Ella was outstanding. The only complaint was that it was too hot. The AC was not working as well as it should have been. They even brought out a small dessert and a glass of champagne. Highly recommend! Make sure to follow me!

I headed over to Miller tavern on a Friday evening with work colleagues. The food was great but the waiter accidentally spilled my entire glass of wine on me. I understand it was an accident but I was drenched and then when the bill came the wine was still included. I had to say something then it was comped. It was a nice evening but the fact that I had to ask for it to be taken off and I literally was soaked was disappointing. I would not go back again.

What ruined a potentially a really great experience was the 1hr wait time for 3 main dishes. Presentation and quality were there, and I felt sorry for the courteous wait staff that had no explanation for what happened with our collective order. We were on the verge of leaving when the food actually arrived.but at that point one of us had to return to work and take a call while rushing through the meal. This did not align with the reviews that influenced us to come here.: (

We went a group after working hours, got there at 4: 30ish, the happy hour ended by 5pm.
Very price and the menu option are not really special for the price they are charging. Service was awful, she was messy and confused.

Been here before couple times, and was a good neighborhood bar.seem they switched strategy to an upscale menu and dressed up folks. Menu lacks variety, overpriced and food was so so.

Decided to check this place out after a Raptors game. They didn’t disappoint! The foie gros was so delicious we did seconds! Their oysters were delish! And we topped it off with their burger with carmelized onions and mushrooms. Highly recommend dropping by for a good eat. Keep up the good work chefs.

Top notch burger and salad. Always a positive when you can taste quality cheese and other fixings. Good professional service. Only downside is slightly overpriced but location justifies it I expect.

Just had the most amazing experience at the Miller Tavern they accommodated a dairy allergy right from the start all the way to the end of the dining experience. Our server Justin was nothing short of spectacular very knowledgeable and helpful with everything on the menu. The rib-eye steaks were to die for. Highly recommended the brussel sprouts and hand picked green salad. Can't stress this enough of how awesome Justin was. What ever you're paying that man double it.

The food was good and the service was outstanding, but the prices seemed very high for what it was. The restaurant itself is dated and needs a facelift badly. For the price point I would expect a nicer environment. That said, Peeling paint, worn tables and peeling vinyl seating doesnt impact the meal too much.

I went to Miller Tavern with my boyfriend and family and we had a delightful dining experience. The servers and manager were very friendly and the food was incredible. I had the lobster macaroni and it was delicious! If you’re ever looking for a great place to eat with staff who really care about your experience, this is the place to be.

Such a great spot for drinks. Staff is very friendly and so fast! Cocktails and beer are always perfect.

Excellent restaurent- great location and exceptional service. Welcoming and friendly atmosphere with great staff. The wagyu burger is wonderful. The wine selection is not great and certainly doesn’t match the exceptional fine-dining-like service that clients receive. Beer list is better. With an updated wine menu, this will be the leading restaurant in this neighbourhood. I will definitely be back!

The food was AMAZING! And I was pleasantly surprised with how fast the service was. We went before a Raptors game so we were in a bit of a hurry. They got us served with food and drinks within 30 minutes!

We followed the reviews prior to our visit, but ended up dissatisfied with our meal/experience.
Our 2 guests had to swap steaks because they did not arrive as ordered (medium rare and medium) - one was served well done (dry) and the other was rare. Our guests did not return the order as the waiter appeared hurried and was not overly helpful. I ordered fries with my steak and received a salad instead.
The halibut entree was very small (appetizer size) and not fresh - neither were the 2 appetizers we had ordered - they appeared to be warmed over from frozen. Given the prices here we expected fresh food.
The casesar salad was good.
Not very pleased at all, including the tip the bill was over $430.00.

2nd time here in as many months before a raps game. Hard to believe but both times the appetizers came after our main course. They did not charge us but this is either very bad luck or just a representation of their poor service. It also took over 45 mins for the food to come.
Steak was tough and over cooked. Manager came with a beer for my friend to apologize but I later noticed they charged me for it. Dessert was good (sticky toffee pudding) I will not be back again.

Slightly pricey for just a quick bite before our concert. However, quite possibly the best burger I have ever had. So delicious! Also very good service.

Wow. Food was great, atmosphere was amazing, and the food was both a meal for the eyes and stomach. Would come back again!

Beware that they charge 8 dollars if you drink water. Happened to me when I said "I'll just have some water please. "

We were a large group of more than 15 people. So they provided us with a space/ room for to accommodate our group. The room was extremely cold, we informed the staff and they did nothing about it.

The food arrived late, it wasn't good for the price we paid. Both my husband and sister had nausea after food, my sister did not even finish her burger. They made a mistake with my order. The steak was not cooked properly, the fries were oily and you could taste the old oil in it.

It is unacceptable to pay more than 74$ for a steak that is not properly done with old fries, cold place and don't know how to take orders properly - which is a simple task.

A group of went for Valentine’s Day and it was excellent. The service was great. We came pretty late so some of the items on the menu were not available but the manager made up for it. The food was great especially the beef tartare, the steak and fish.

The vibe is calm and relaxing, Rob the Bar Manager kept checking in to make sure we were happy as well, all around a great experience and we will be back!

Great place with great food. Pleasant and courteous staff. Almost directly underneath the CN tower, so that's a plus.

The service was super slow. It took almost an hour between our starter orders and main orders. We were there for almost 2hrs.

Food was quite good - burger and fish were good enough to get a 5 star however my other 2 guests said the fillet mignon and rib rye bone in was - just ok

While the server was very good the same could not be said for the food. The escargot were passable, the steak under done and over salted with the chocolate cake resembling grocery store fare. It may have been an off evening but for premium price points I expected better.

I don’t recommend Miller Tavern if you have dietary restrictions. I do have restrictions, which is why I mentioned it online while making my reservation, over the phone to clarify before attending the restaurant, and twice to my waitress at dinner. My boyfriend also mentioned it to the waitress. Despite mentioning it profusely and being told I could be accommodated, I was not. I have an allergy to food contained in my meal, and requested my food be cooked a certain way too many times for a server to miss it. When I asked the waitress if the food had been cooked the way I requested, she tried to dance around subject and wouldn’t answer directly.
The manager was kind and apologized. He also provided us with a voucher. But ultimately I won’t be going back when basic dietary restrictions are willfully disregarded by staff.

Short on staff, our server came in on day off to help.
Covid screening required via scan or paper.
Service was good considering short on staff.
We shared crab pattie and a roast beef dip and enjoyed both.
Beer was cold.
We were on a patio in TO, what more can we ask for?

Just like the other reviews. Service is good but food is overpriced for an okay meal.

Patio dining along Bay Street is quite loud with all the traffic.

View is of the street. Food took forever to come (over an 1 hr and half). There was only 1 server for one section of the large patio dining area they had so getting her attention was hard. She said she would come back with water, never did. Took her half an hr to get us the bill. Food isn't even that great for what its priced at.

Very nice atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. Portions are big, and they have good cocktails options.
Can't wait to check the indoor dinner.

Went to this location for lunch, was not impressed. I have visited the North York location several times and thought it would be a similar experience.
The kitchen ran out of salmon, mussels and crab cakes (it was 12: 00 noon and the restaurant was half empty) which the server advised us of in a rude way.
The food we ended up ordering was decent, but did not seem fresh. The service was horrible. The server seemed to not want to be there serving anyone which made the experience even worse. I would not recommend this place.
