Soooo slow to get in and out with the scale. Oshawa is way better even if one scale is open.

Different Hours for Haz Waste:
Hazardous waste hours for Squires Beach facility, from their website and a call I made:

"Source separated loads of Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) are accepted from Durham Region residents only free of charge Tuesday to Saturday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. "

Lined up and entered after 5pm only to find out they don't accept hazardous waste after 4: 30!
The bins are right there but they told me to come another day! "Hazardous waste" time are different than opening times! BEWARE

Dropped off hazardous waste and electrical waste. They gave clear directions and were helpful.

There is a huge line to get out and no one on the scale but they aren’t Turing the light green, been here for 2 hours an hour to get in and a hour to get out

The man who welcomes you as you approach the bins to pitch your garbage is the happiest friendliest guy… thanks for your welcoming nature… it always makes someone’s day better

It’s a dump yes. Horrible wait times (over an hour to get in) because they were “at capacity”. When I got in I saw 2 other cars in there. What waste of time!

Worst company ever worked for, pay is bad and they like to abuse workers overall worst experience and very bad management rules do not get enforced

Why is a dump not open on weekends, that’s when most people have time to dump stuff, Clean out on weekends and dump, simple

City of Pickering needs to cancel their contract with Miller. These guys aren’t doing their job.

When your turn around to go to the bins, the dudes standing wearing reflective vests are extremely rude and unpolite with customers. It's a shame to see a little politeness can go so far but they choose to go with rudeness. We are paying here and not throwing our household items for free

Miller Waste Management system has the best recycling, waste management facility in the city of Pickering. They collect solid organic waste, recycling and garbage from the neighborhood.
They also have drop off system where individuals can drop off their household waste on their own. Currently 30kg dump rate is flat $5. They also provide mulch, manure etc things at reasonable rates.

This place is an absolute dump. Try to go right when it opens if you can, the lines get really long and seem to move slower than they used to.

The person working in the dump area was really friendly. He helped my son and I with our trailer.

Been stuck waiting in line for 45 minutes for as far as I can see no reason. This is brutal. Absolutely ridiculous and no logical reason for the wait.

Worst experience ever! I don’t know what has happened at Miller Pickering but the wait times are ridiculous, as in hour waits to get in and then another hour to get out. Staff used to be friendly, professional and now rude, unable to manage the traffic, they don’t even say hi. Disappointing

Staff at the scale are very nice, the employee directing vehicles to the the bay doors for dumping seems to think he owns the entire Miller enterprise very rude and obnoxious.

I just can't give more than 3 stars. The lineup is way too slow. Since early spring, I've been here 5 times each time an hour wait. That's way too slow. Not sure what the hold up is at the checkout and check in. It's not at the dump itself. It is at the bridge

Excellent service whenever I go mostly bi weekly. Kiosk staff at weighing scales provide customer service that is very good. The gentlemen that direct you to dumping bins are very helpful and assist if needed.

Very long wait times. The staff working their is cool. But with the new in flux of new home owners moved into Pickering. I think they need to beef up the capacity at this location both staff and how they move traffic on this location for general public.

The desk staff are wonderful and so cheery. You have a gem of a man working to organize people at the top. He's always smiling, always good hearted, always a hard worker. He's got the patience of Job! Thank you!

Effecient system for things to run smoothly, be prepared to wait if you go later in the day or on a weekend. There's a wait to go in, disposal is pretty quick and there's a wait to leave.

The lines are long and I am waiting for a while to dump my junk in the bins. But it's a close location and they still do a good job but why are we having to wait in long lines.

I use this waste plant regularly. The kiosk staff are very friendly and the waste staff are also friendly and helpful, sometimes helping us to shovel out or sweep our trailer when finished. A trailer full of regular renovation waste rarely costs us more than $35 and I'm much happier paying this than renting a dumpster to go on my driveway that costs me 10 times the price. I see other comments about wait times - and of course there will be line ups if you visit during 'peak' hours, just as there are when you go to a restaurant, grocery store or movie theatre. There will often be many vehicles with just a couple of bags of garbage to dispose of, processing/weighing a vehicle with one bag of trash takes as much time as processing a truck with a huge load. The key is to timing your trip at low peak times if you can't afford to wait. The 'household' people usually visit on Saturday, I find that going after work during the week I rarely have to wait to get in or out, most households have other priorities during the week or don't get home in time and most commercial vehicles finish work by 4 pm, so I usually go after 4 pm with no problems. The fact that there are line ups means that the place is busy. In my opinion, places are busy for a good reason usually and I don't have a good reason to go anywhere else to take my waste.

Always dumped my garbage there till i got yelled at by one of the staff for a misunderstanding i will never use this place again

Does not compare to Oshawa Municipal dump. 15 minute wait to get in and 20 minutes to get out. There should be no wait time between vehicles (I waited 5 minutes in front of an empty scale). Get em in and out as quickly as you can. Hire more staff and be more productive to better serve your customers.

This facility is a perfect example of why consistently phenomenal service is a game-changer for a business. You guys process garbage, and charge people to do it. Thats not glamerous, and you'd think the staff at the weigh station wouldnt make any difference.but wow you would be wrong. I actually enjoy going to the dump, and its b/c of the gals in that booth. Pls let them know how important they are.

I'm a cdl driver and I'm usually in and out in about 1 hr. That's for them to load a tractor trailer. The staff are very polite and helpful.

I live in Courtice on Broadlands cres, for the last 2 weeks we have had the BEST recycling man ever. Last week during the wind storm he had already went down my side of the street I grabbed my empty bins and picked up recycling on the street and when he came down the other side of the street he let me put the recycling out again. Today I seen him pick up recycling that had falling on the road, I have seen other guys get in the truck and drive off. Really happy we have him on our route. Thank you
