By far the worst trees I have ever planted. Countless issues with false quantities (no averaging out like previous response said), and extremely poor quality trees. Through the product delivered Millson forestry shows a lack of care or integrity for what they do. I’m aware of specific forests who refused future business with millson due to these issues. I would discourage anyone from purchasing trees from this nursery.

I am an experienced tree planter and I have planted trees from a variety of different nurseries. I have probably planted between 15,000-20,000 trees from milson. Each nursery produces trees that have benefits and drawbacks from a tree planter's perspective, but there are just too many drawbacks to Milsons trees for me to feel good about planting them. Milson's trees give me the impression they have little clue how the trees are actually planted. Here is why:

I planted Milson trees a couple years ago, but I am currently in a contract that includes the Milson Jackpine Minis (tiny pods that can be planted on rock cap "easily"). These trees CANNOT be distinguished from grass once in the ground. Planters rely on being able to see their trees so that they can plant the proper density, which makes it tough to work with.

Milson also does not bundle their trees (except the Minis) up, which means that you are getting boxes of loose trees with a quantity that does not match what the label on the box says. Imagine planting a box with 550 trees but you can only get paid for 432 trees because thats what the box label says. Many planters would count the trees in their boxes to make sure that they can claim the correct amount, but this would not be an issue if Milson could just count the trees.

The third reason i am giving 1 star is because the trees come stuck together in random numbers. Sometimes they are in groups of 10 and other times they are just floating by themselves. This makes it extremely time consuming to pack in planting bags. Planters get paid per tree so this feature actually takes money away from the person who plants the tree.
