Threatened to cut off power even while I'm telling them I'm making payment - because it's via bank they won't receive by deadline and therefore would go forward with the disconnect - and then charge me to reconnect even though it's been paid. But they also don't offer a way to pay any other way. What year is this? Last I checked 2023 has the ability to take payment in many ways.

Terrible hydro company. Takes days to fix a simple power outage, workers gone home for long weekend. Do not move to Milton, as power utility cannot be trusted.

I live on Darkwood Road (appropriately named). We are always the first to lose power and the last street to be serviced. At the very least get your cables out of my driveway at windshield height, Is it not time to run hydro cables underground. The age of the Electric car is upon us.time to take hydro services out of the dark ages.

Whenever their office employees are needed you'll be redirected to about 4 different voicemails on average.
Once you finally get through to an employee and ask about the update on your area, they'll tell you they have none. Can anyone at the company actually explain why these employees on the phone even have a job?
If they don't have updates from the field team, what exactly is their purpose? To answer calls and tell people they don't have an update?
We pay thousands of dollars of land tax on homes which directly fund subpar roads, weak electricity lines, and the salary of workers who shouldn't even have a job.
A major re-haul is needed at Milton Hydro, they just have to be better.

I called Milton Hydro power outage line as my power had been flickering in my home for a few days and today it became worse. Thought the issue could be due to the bad weather and tree limbs shorting lines. Vicky took my call and took the time to listen to my concern. She confirmed my contact info and address and told me would send the info to the on call crew so they could look into the issue. Thought this would takes some time. MH crew called after a couple of minutes to confirm my address (in the rural) and two very nice gentlemen (Mike and don’t remember the other name) showed up in a few minutes. They resolved the issue after trouble shooting, replacing external connections and making adjustments. Since then the power issue has been resolved. Never thought and expected such personalized great service and response from Milton Hydro! Thumbs up for everyone who made this happen. Keep it up.

I had an excellent experience speaking to Kim today. She was kind, courteous and helpful. I appreciated her kindness in helping me with all my questions.

We recently installed solar panels on our rural property and our interactions with Milton Hydro have been very positive. Customer service has been courteous and helpful whenever I had questions. The billing supervisor took the time to explain the net metering process and followed up personally. I have been able to use the online My Account to learn more about our electricity usage as we continue to move toward more environmentally friendly sources of energy. Thank you Jeff, Kim and Laurie.

Effective January 1,2021 the Ontario Government has REDUCED the ONTARIO ELECTRICITY REBATE to 21.2% from 33.2%

Therefore our electricity bill would be +12% more and that is not including the increased rates per kWh. I know we are also on a pandemic rate as well. But you know that is going to end very soon. Don't get me started on the constantly ever increasing water meter service charges.

What a rip off. Monthly charges are getting higher and higher. Monthly usage same since covid started but every month bills getting higher and higher

Last month $290 bill for a 1000 sq ft.home, this month is higher than my last (eye-roll), was told that we have had a blessed summer with amazing weather and I need to understand that when the AC is used my bill will be significantly higher, I asked her to refer to the last three years bills which there are only slight differences in usage, however, my bill significantly increased she had no answer when I asked her to compare my bills and the usage to which was almost identical for the last three years, her sarcastic rude tone was silent. How about Milton Hydro give the Milton residents honest rates rather than financially ripping us off, or at the least invest the $$$$ robbed from us Milton residents and invest in some better customer service. I urge anyone from Milton Hydro to call me

The worst customer service ever. Customer consultant are so rude. Rates are so high for no reason. Wish they had competition, maybe then they’d have regard for clients.
