Mimico Medical Family Doctor & Physiotherapy

I love my doctor (Dr. Woo) but the communication could be a lot better, ESPECIALLY with the receptionists. As other patients have pointed out, their customer service skills are lacking. I have not been able to reach the front desk by phone since becoming a patient and their website mentions a Chat App, but it’s only visible on mobile devices.

I had an emergency appointment today with Dr. Michelle Kuisma. I have Shingles which needs immediate treatment. I was very impressed and happy with the Service I received from Doctor and Reception. Highly recommend this Clinic. Wish this was my Family Doctor

Things were going well at first, but I am now having a very difficult time getting my medication refilled here. I requested a refill of my ADHD medication over a month ago to be proactive, but it still hasn’t been filled! I’ve had Kassel Pharmacy next door (who are lovely btw) send in a request 4 times now and I have asked the clinic reception twice to send a message to Dr. Mukty. I am now out of my medication and am having negative withdrawal effects. Be aware if accepting Dr. Mukty as your doctor you will be waiting a long time for refills and if it’s a controlled drug it might lapse. Thank goodness its not heart medication or something but still, over a month is ridiculous! Hoping to switch Doctors within this clinic asap, only for the reason of refills, she seems like a good Doctor, but chasing her down for my meds is too stressful.

Dr. Milan at Mimico Medical is the best! His new Botox Clinic within the clinic is great. He's very professional and understanding of what look you want to achieve. The whole experience was perfect! The ladies at reception are also very pleasant and accommodating.

The doctors are caring, though overextended. Office staff are mostly friendly. However, with almost ten doctors in the clinic and very limited support staff, service can be slow. It’s impossible to reach anyone by phone. Email (their preferred mode of contact) can take days to get a real response to. Budget lots of extra time if you have an appointment.

I’ve been a patient for less than two years and am on my second doctor (the first one left after a couple of months). The second doctor who took me on gave his notice to patients in July and so far they’ve been unable to replace him and take on his patients. Clearly the doctors know a sinking ship when they see one.

Updated Oct 6: I’m not making assumptions. Two doctors I was with at this clinic left within a year or so of each other. I see for myself the disrespect and incompetence of the support staff. I wasn’t even given the courtesy of being informed of my doctor’s replacement. I finally emailed to inquire after waiting for months.

I really like this clinic when it comes to medical care (Dr Woo is the best), but my review goes to Dr Milan who is now performing Botox treatments on Fridays. I was excited for a skin consultation but unfortunately he was 20 minutes late, didn’t apologize and I got the impression that he didn’t even know my name.

The whole appointment was less than 10 min long and it seemed rushed and impersonal, and I left with an uneasy feeling that I don’t trust him. So, since I’m not going ahead with the treatment, I had to pay $56.50, which made me feel ripped off because the appointment definitely didn’t worth it AT ALL.

I really wish I had gone to a specialized skin care clinic instead, where you can get the first consultation for free and have usually a more personalized care, more expertise and punctuality. And if you don’t have all these things that makes you feel special and taken care of, you just don’t come back and won’t waste your money — unlikely my experience here.

Communication with this clinic is challenging, they don’t take calls making it difficult to follow up on things or ask simple questions.

They regularly call a day before an appointment to reschedule it expecting patients to re-organize their previously set appointments and meetings at work.

This would be normal on rare occasions but they do it all the time, sometimes rescheduling an appointment more than two times.

Dr, Kodsi and his team are wonderful and caring. He is wonderful with elders and very responsive and has great bedside manners.

My recent visit left me feeling neglected, frustrated, and disappointed. It's difficult to speak to a person and you need to be prepared to wait for an appointment. Communication is extremely poor and really does act as a barrier to accessing proper healthcare.

Very poor experience all around with Mimico Medical. They don’t answer the phone and they are very unhelpful and they take forever to get back. I would get faster results if I went to the hospital every time I needed to talk to a doctor. I don’t know what the reception does all day but it’s not getting back to patients. If you’re a super healthy person that doesn’t mind waiting around forever or really even need a Doctor then Mimico Medical is for you!

Amazing experience; each and every time I have needed an appointment. Polite and efficient front office staff. They reply in such a reasonable amount of time. I feel very well cared for. I love the team approach. In my very first visit, I can already see that Dr. Luca is so kind, knowledgeable and proactive…all of the traits you would want in a family doctor! I’m most definitely certain I have chosen the right place for all of my medical needs.

My experience with the clinic has been great. Even the phones are not attended in a regular basis, every single time I leave a detailed voicemail, my family doctor's assistant calls me with a solution, either to offer me a tentative appointment, or to let me know my doctor is working on my request. I highly recommend this clinic if you are looking for a new family doctor!

I hardly write reviews but Dr. Timothy Kodsi deserves my time and words. He Is by far the best doctor you can have and so is his team. He truly cares about his patients and always starts with natural ways of getting better first. When I first met him I was in extreme pain and could hardly walk he was very positive and motivating. Today I am at my best in some part because of him. My family and I are very grateful to have him. Thank you thank you thank you!

I would mark them lower if I could. Tried getting a hold of them to help my wife who is a patient there. Left messages, and voice mails, for over a week.no one got back to us.it's been over a week. It went from something minor, to an ambulance trip, emergency surgery, and a stay in the hospital. Absolute disgrace! If you're looking for a good family doctor, try looking elsewhere

Doctors seem to be nice and caring but the clinic itself is extremely disorganized. Unlike other clinics, staff never send reminder about an upcoming appointment and is extremely hard to reach over phone or chat. The clinic's automated voicemail (which you will inevitably get, there is never a person picking up the phone) even says something along the lines of "please don't call us, we are busy".

In addition, I continue to receive automated emails from the clinic asking if I am still interested in becoming their patient even though I had filled out all the paperwork months ago and had already seen the doctor a few times.

Judging by other reviews, lack of organization and respect for patients' time seems to be a common theme. I also don't like how management's reposnse to these reviews is often "we don't see you in our system" and "our records show that we did reach out" implying that the patients are lying?

Dr. Michelle Kuisma will be your greatest advocate. She has been an incredible doctor, especially when my health was at it's worst throughout 2022. Cannot recommend her enough. We followed her here from her previous clinic and I wouldn't change doctors for anything. She will go to bat for you when the chips are down and at the same time, isn't a doctor who will just randomly prescribe medications IF they are not necessary. She is open to discussing all approaches and has been extraordinary with not only my husband and I, but our 2 (almost 3 year old son). If you want a doctor who has your best interest at heart and advocates for you, you cannot beat Dr. Kuisma.

Stay a way, it's a business entity not a medical care institution. Has been patient with a family doctor there for 3 years, worst medical choice in my life. You can clearly see the profit seeking priority in everything they do since day one. From carless doctors, to unprofessional reception. You can never find care here, only negligence and unprofessionalism.

Great staff at the clinic and Dr. Michael (Mike) Katarynych is one of the most caring M. D's I have experienced. He is thorough, supportive and has my needs as a patient always prioritized.

Overall very good. Dr. Luca and Dr. Mike are very helpful. The online chat system works best to get appointments. Just in one occasion they missed my email but quickly corrected it once I reached out again and I saw a doctor straight away. Front staff did a great job to upgrade their system since I first joined and they try to be prompt. I would recommend this clinic.

I've been with this clinic since its acquisition by a bright gifted physician some years ago. First of all, what i really liked - and like - is the fact how my values match those of my family doctor (he is also the owner). Both of us prefer to try the safest approach first and, if this doesn't truly work, - then move to increased doses or try a different medicine (eventually with more side effects etc.). This is how mutual trust between us grew - and now, in hindsight, I can say that choosing this clinic (and my family doctor) was one of the best decisions that I ever made. Secondly, I really like how their receptionists, nurses and assistants communicate: you get your message returned usually within 24 hours, sometimes - within two days if it's not urgent. Every time I need advice during the tough pandemic times, my doctor and his team were there for me, helping over the phone. Am I taking medicine? Yes, I am. Am I a happy person who feels like he is healthy, despite his advanced age? True. I'd strongly, without any reservations, recommend Mimico clinic and his team. Try it - and you can thank me later for the tip:)

Waited an hour after my original appointment… needs to improve the way they schedule their appointments and be more aware of patients wait time.
