We were looking forward to trying their Hainan chicken - went on a Sunday at 2: 30pm, it was not busy at all but no one was there to greet us, not only that, we got dissed by the staff (they said they were not serving us because they had to prepare for dinner…). So we didn’t even get to sit down to eat… I will never go there because of the poor attitude. What a shame.

I really enjoy eating at this restaurant! Service is friendly, the dishes are really fresh and tasty. Would give it 5 stars, but given the price was a little high for the eel dish but it wasn’t a lot. Also I love their soups but theres only the two of us so ordering a whole bowl (is more for 4-6 ppl) would be too much. Otherwise, this place is great for dinner or lunch and u won’t be disappointed.

We called earlier to reserve a table, ask them to give us a table inside because obviously no one wanna eat dinner in wind, well the servers are extremely rude and ignore our request. So we give up to eat dinner here, why spend our money with this kind of business

We have seen Ming when we have been in that plaza but never been in. They offer Dim Sum until 4pm so that’s why we went. All of the dishes we tried were incredible. Perfectly cooked, not greasy, perfectly seasoned…we will definitely go back to try more of their dishes. If you like Dim Sum, theirs is a perfect choice! Pictures next time! We were busy eating!

Not sure why this review was not published so will post it again. Unfortunately we had one of the WORST dining experiences here on Lunar New Year's Eve with my entire family of 10 people. We showed up to our scheduled seating slot on time. The restaurants was completely packed with people looking to pick up takeout orders, which meant not a single staff was there to check us in and bring us to our table. We ended up waiting for 15 mins before someone even came by to speak to us. But the time we eventually got our table (which was 30 mins later), we were told there was another seating after us so we had to be finished our 10-course dinner in the next 1hr or so. Granted the food came very quickly, but we felt extremely rushed and did not get to enjoy the meal at all. When the time came, they rushed us with the bill (without us asking for it) and was told we needed to leave as there are people waiting for the next seating. It was quite possible the rudest and most unenjoyable dining experience I have ever had. The restaurant was severely understaffed for service, and it was painfully cleared that the table assignments/arrangements were fumbled which led to multiple table shuffling for guests. At one point while we were waiting for our table, we debated on leaving to go to another restaurant. However, with 10 people and on Lunar New Year's Eve, it would have been difficult to find an alternative on such short notice. So we had no choice but the stay with this restaurant. The quality of food was actually decent but the overall negative experience did not allow us to enjoy it.

I came to Toronto from Australia and wanted to try Canadian lobster, so my friend introduced me to this restaurant. The seafood is very fresh and tastes good. The steamed method is more delicious and authentic. Sticky Rice Chicken YYDS! Eat it while it's hot and it's so delicious that you can't stop eating it! It’s really worth the trip! The kind that makes you want to eat a few more bites even when you are full. It’s worth eating!

I made my first visit after COVID since 2020. Food quality is still as outstanding as before and this was always my top choice if I want Cantonese cuisine before. Price has gone up which is also the case in all other restaurants and understandable. I will highly recommend this place if you want exquisite Cantonese meal.

Dinner was delicious. We got a set menu plus half a wasabi chicken, and a salty egg shrimp and pumpkin. Very nice dinner

My first visit to Ming Cuisine this afternoon was a terrific experience. Located in the Bayview Hill Center at Spadina Rd & 16th, this little gem featured good decor, amazing service and delicious cuisine at very reasonable prices. The menu offered a very delectable selection and I was assisted by my host, Jackie, who suggested I try beef with biier melon in black bean sauce with pan fried vermicelli. It was plentiful and tasty! This place is a must try. I also met David, who was a gracious host and answered questions on the dish. I will visit again! Keep up the great work, David!

Tasty food, ordered Hainan chicken and stir fried vermicelli. Lunch special came with soup which tasted like home made soup, way much better than other restaurants.

5 stars are not enough to give to this small restaurant.

The stuff gluten rice inside the chicken is so delicious. Fried tofu, herbal soup,? And services are all amazing to us.

Would love to come back with my parents and sisters next time to try the rest of their menu

I was there this afternoon for lunch. I ordered from their lunch menu. The food was terrible, so did the service. We sat at the first table next to entrance. Every time when one opened the door, the uncomfortable cold drift of wind made us feel chill. I will not go again definitely!

They posted mother's day combos but when we came on mother's day they were not selling the combos, that doesn't even make sense

Probably wouldn't come back. The portions are small, the food is mediocre and the service was horrible. While she was taking our order she left before we even finished telling her our order. We had to call her back to even complete ordering. When our food arrived, she placed the food in the far corner if our table, and we didn't even know that half of them came. We found the sauce after we finished eating. The waitress was rude, she didn't say a single word to us the entire time. We replied politely with please and thank you, and she walked away. The final straw was the bill. We haven't even finished eating yet, and she brought our bill without us asking for it. She placed it at the opposite corner of where we were sitting, and left the bill facing up with the folder open. It felt like she was forcing us to leave and being deliberately rude. Bad service, mediocre overpriced food, small portions. Probably wouldn't come back

Food is amazing, the place is a bit squishy but service is good compare to other Chinese restaurants. Their seafood and chicken dishes are quite famous in the neighbourhood. Lunch time hainan chicken rice is very delicious too!

Ming Cuisine has been in Richmond Hill for a period of time, but this is my first time trying this cuisine.   This is a small Chinese restaurant, so recommend make reservation.   We ordered shred chicken with sea cucumber, pan fry tiger shrimp, pan fry oyster with honey, dice tenderloin, vegetables, steam pork with dry squid, salt and pepper eel and fish maw soup.   All the entree portion are huge, but they taste great.   One of the best Chinese restaurant in town!

This restaurant is my family’s number one place to go. Any event or just craving for Chinese food, we always go this one. Need to make a reservation most of dinner times, specially on weekends. That mean they are busy and that means it’s good! Worth every dollar you spend!

Best Chinese seafood restaurant in Toronto! You gotta try their spicy Hoon Kong style lobster! It’s amazing! Oh! And hot and sour soup. My kids love their bbq ribs and stair fired noodle.

This place is the one I always prefer. I eat in plenty of restaurants but to this one I go the most. The team is very friendly and the cooking they place on your table is so good. I never decline to have a good dinner in this place. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Today I ordered the lunch set - curry chicken and the steamed pork with rice. The quality are poor. It was not the same quality as before especially the curry chicken with rice. It was salty with very little curry taste, the rice was not fresh - overnight quality. Soup was not slow boiled soup. I guessed that the chef is not same as before. I have been their customer since they opened. But felt very disappointed with their quality this time. I will not consider to dine in or order take out food from this restaurant again! They should check the quality again.

I visit this special place every couple of days because I love the special atmosphere that is exist in this place. The staff is extremely helpful and professional. The service is awfully quick. Most important, the food you eat is good. I ate there often and I was always satisfied. The pay is fair. I suggest this place to to all.

This site is my first choice site. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to that place.everytime I want to go to a superb supper, this place comes straight to my mind.good and all sorts of food and a large list of dishes.great team, and pleasant spirit. In addition to that, the bill is reasonable. I tell about this spot with no hesitation.

Not too crowded during covid 19. Practice social distancing, good price, friendly service, food taste OK, but no surprise.

BE CAREFUL IF YOU WANNA ORDER HERE DURING QUARANTINE. Shocked that this place is "CASH ONLY" during quarantine time, while other places strictly do not accept cash. When we called to place a takeout order, the server didn't say anything about they are "cash only". When I waited 20 min and came to the restaurant, the server told me the card machine is broken so they can only accept cash - the worse thing is- her attitude was very bad and impatient.

I have no idea what is the point of limiting physical contact if they do not accept card payment.

I love this place very much for dinner.all dishes we ordered were taste really good. This restaurant was recommended by my friend.although it's not a very big restaurant, the service was really good. I especially like the desert not many restaurants have the almond dessert. It was so delicious. I strongly recommend as restaurant to you if you like Chinese food

Very nice Chinese restaurant. My family had a very satisfied birthday dinner for my wife. Staffs are polite and helpful. Atmosphere is good, comfort and clean. Foods are excellent and reasonable price. Good choice for a group because there are too many dishes you wish to order. Strongly recommend “plum duck”.

Food decent. Plates are big and tables are small. Can hardly fit everything on a table for two.

Tried the 金沙老虎蝦 (deep fried tiger shrimp with egg yolk sauce) and found it well balanced. The shrimp wasn’t over powered by the preserved duck egg yolk, which is typically a challenge to balance well.

The 脆皮糯米雞 (deep fried chicken filled with glutinous rice) could have used a little more texture—the dish could have benefited from crispier skin and the rice could have used something to give it a “kick” although the taste was good overall. It just falls short when compared with the gold standard for this dish, Maple Yip, which has unfortunately been closed as of last July.

The beef was very tender contrasted with the peppers and onions which retained a crispy texture in 鎮店牛柳粒 (sautéed diced beef tenderloin).

The 蜜錢生蠔 (pan fried oyster with honey) was a real treat — oysters spiced and nicely caramelized with honey.

Even the 五羊城炒麵 (Cantonese chow mein) —a staple for most Chinese restaurants was thoughtfully deconstructed—making provision for those who love their noodles crispy to have just that with the noodles and toppings/sauce separated.

Good ambience. Food is less greasy than regular Chinese restaurants. Also I can't taste MSG. Not the most affordable but you get what you pay for

Great Chinese food, served promptly. Ha many dishes, geoduck, lobster, lobster brain, some white fish and so much more. Great place for family meals.

The quality of the food was superb! My favourite was the fried eel and the noodles with the lobster. Perhaps the lobster could have been cracked more but other than that it was great. I will definately be back! Service was quick and attended to in a timely manner such as clearing and giving out new plates, napkins, alcoholic beverages, high chair (toddler), and singing Happy Birthday:)

This is a nice place for friend gathering. Food quality is above average and is priced reasonably.
The only down side is that the restaurant is a bit small and table setting is kind of too close to one another.

Great Chinese Seafood restaurant! Recommend their lobster combo (2.5 lbs of lobster plus one veggie and one main for $68). Would definitely come back.

Great selection quality for a fair price point. Service was better than most Chinese restaurants.

We order the $318 dinner set. If you pay by cash, 10% off. We like the salty egg lobster with pumpkin and the they use maggi sauce and vermicelli for the 2nd course. Also, this is the only restaurant which will fillet the fish, so we can eat without difficulty.

Small but very busy place, recommended to make a reservation in advance. The food is very good, must try the lobster with salt egg paste and also with vermicelli. The sweet and sour pork is perfectly made with non fatty pork. Whole steamed fish came deboned and very fresh. However the service was a little slow on the Thurs night we went, perhaps due to lack of enough staff? The wait staff were friendly but so busy. However it gives you time to enjoy the food at a more leisurely pace instead of being rushed. Definitely give this place a try, won't be disappointed.

Everything was delish especially those huge jumbo fried oysters battered with an egg yolk coating. Loved all the 3 dishes that we ordered which was wayyy too much for 2 people. This place is cozy and very popular so make reservations ahead of time.

I’ve heard pretty good reviews about this place and finally get to try it out. The melon soup was very sweet and savoury, chicken was silky, salted egg yolk prawns were tasty and crunchy, veggies were crunchy and fresh, stew duck and taro were tender, the sauce of the stew veggies was a bit salty. Overall the food was good and service courteous and prompt.

It was beautiful inside and the food was presented well, but the food wasn't as delicious or outstanding for the price we spent. The tea was delicious though.
