I have been living in the building close to a year now and have nothing but great experience so far! The amenities are superb, the management and the staff are super friendly. Notable mention to Andrews, one of the staff who always goes out of his ways to help and make the resident feel at home, he's amazing!

Staying in Minto was a pleasant experience, the apartment was clean and comfortable, we also enjoyed visiting gym and pool, plus it was super convenient to have a grocery shop right in the building.
Concierge service was amazing, Andrews and all other guys from the team were always ready to help us with everything and were spreading a friendly atmosphere.

Minto One80five is a perfect place to live and has professional concierge service. The concierge team and the whole staff is really always warm welcoming, ready to help at any time, supportive, and helping whenever you have any issues or concerns. Andrews (concierge) is a positive person and always welcomes you with a smile and good-day wishes. He is also a good friend to kids and pets!
All the amenities and the whole building are very well maintained, clean, everything is smooth and without any problem, and I appreciate the effort of the team to keep this building in a perfect, well-maintained state and making sure that the tenants are using and enjoying services and living here.

It was very easy to communicate with the front desk with accommodations and informations about the unit. Everyone was very helpful and kind, especially Andrews and Phil. They were very easy to talk to and always helped me with any issues I had. Only problem for me was that it was a bit confusing on making clear what our rent was with in the beginning. Other than that it has been fantastic:)

I am a resident living at 185 Lyon Street North. Staying here is a great experience. The building has entertainment facilities such as pool tables, a large party room and so on.
There are Rexall, gym and 24-hour convenience store in the building. Of course, there is also 24-hour security and front desk staff.
What impresses me the most is Andrews, who solved many problems for me during my stay here, and whenever I found him, he was very friendly and helped me. As far as I know Andrews loves his job very much, and all residents will stop at the front desk when they go home and have a happy chat with him for a while. In general, living at 185 Lyon Street is a very good time, and I would like to thank Andrews for his help.

I lived at one80five for over 7 years, and enjoyed every single day. The amenities are second to none in terms of quality and convenience. The staff are friendly and professional. And the location is first rate. Of particular note, Minto's Regional Manager Maurice Abel is an exemplary company man who genuinely cares about the residents and is very receptive to feedback and suggestions. For anyone looking to rent in downtown Ottawa, one80five is the residence of choice.

Staying at a furnished suite at 185 Lyon by Minto never disappoints! I love the access to gym, pool, party lounge. Suites are clean and have all the items needed for my weekly business stays. Love the convenience of all the stores located in the building as well.

This place is whack. It’s embarrassing they call anyone there “concierge” because they are so helpless and useless, plus a couple of them are downright rude- I got a lot of lip service for asking some basic questions. The building gives no cares to anyone living there, and it’s embarrassing. If you’re going to spend this kind of money, find somewhere else. I’d give them zero stars but it’s not an option. Alarms will go off with no warning early early in the am. If you need anything delivered the desk people just stare and won’t help. Lazy. Be better!

This is the place that I call it home since a year and half ago. I like the amenities and they’re the main reason that I moved in to this place. The concierge is welcoming and they’re always kind and supportive. The main complaint that I have (which actually I’m frustrated about) is the Patio. I was ok to not have a balcony because of this nice relaxing place but unfortunately I couldn’t use since I moved-in in winter time and then last summer the construction started and it’s still -after more than a year- under construction! I see improvements but it’s not in a way that we can be sure we will be able to use it this summer which makes me really disappointed. Besides because of the construction there wasn’t any window cleaning for my unit and makes trouble because of insects and honestly I feel bad because of it. Also I think the quality of the morning coffees can be better. Overall, I love this place thanks to the management and other on-site staffs. Hope I can see acceleration in Patio, window cleaning’s schedule, and better quality for morning coffees.:)

I have been at 185 Lyon Street North for 5 months, due to a major flood at my condo, and have felt at home. From the staff, dog friendly environment and clean building I would highly recommend this building for anyone in the market for a great rental unit. 5 stars Minto!

As a newcomer to Ottawa this place has been amazing. It's a great location, friendly staff who actually care about you and want to help, plus the amenities, and access to so many other services (post office, pharmacy, convenience store, dentist, etc.) make this place a great fit for anyone looking for a place to call home.

I’m a delivery driver, not a resident but this is the cleanest and most luxurious apartment building I have delivered to in the city — and trust me. I’ve been to literally every apartment building in Ottawa.

I have had the pleasure of living in this residence for over 18 months and it has been exceeding my expectations in every aspect. The concierge team is very professional and the superintendents, likewise. A big thanks to Curtis the property manager and Gary the service coordinator who are always there to provide the best life experience to the residents. The units and the common areas are clean, safe and great-looking. Thank you.

Back in Feb 2011 me, Sam and the rest of our Gap students went there for an Ottawa Trip and we had a great time there.

Had a great stay! Furnished appartements, clean, modern, comfy in the heart of downtown. Everything was just a walk away

So Many Issue. The building is in a good downtown location though and has great amenities and nicely appointed common areas. Unfortunately, the unit I live in is very tired and run down. The workmanship throughout the entire apartment is surprisingly subpar for this price point along with the messy paint job that covers everything.

The old AC runs off motion sensors so apt is hot. There are constant disturbances and construction notices every week. And the biggest gripe is with the floors – they are covered with cheap paint splattered vinyl laid over very uneven and bumpy concrete. Meaning every single piece of furniture is wobbly and unsteady. Several large bumps in the living area makes it impossible to place the dining room table and chairs. The vinyl flooring is poorly cut and doesn’t always reach the old worn dry wall.

The unit is spacious however with large closets and upgraded bathrooms, but it is a far far cry from being a “premium” rental that Minto brands this place as. If it were not for the updated kitchen in my unit, I would say the apartment is comparable to my old 1980’s apartment in Centertown that cost me half the price, less the amenities.

As well, the older concierge that works evenings is very unpleasant. Anytime we have guests over they always complain about how rude he is to them.

The spaces are small and DON'T MAKE SENSE like why is my fridge opening blocking my door, BUT, price is nice location good.

Avoid parking there at all cost! I was charged $20 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.seriously this is a ripoff. Do they seriously think their underground parking garage is as valuable as those in NYC.

No customer service. Barely any staff to answer the telephones during business hours. When female sales manager does answer, is totally unhelpful, fails to answer simple questions about type of room available, size of room available, single or double bed, time for check outs, amenities, rates, length of rental, etc. As the conversation goes on, female sales manager gets more and more rude and condescending. She should not be treating anyone in poor & disrespectful manner. She should be retrained. Minto one80five really needs improvement!
